I love recommending people to learn their type, I’m a sucker for personal growth and self awareness and it really helped my life knowing my mbti so I agree with all of this!
Love the analogy! I've early in my life figured out where I was good at (organizing, getting things done) and where I didn't have any talent (being a warm and welcoming person). Through learning about cognitive functions (I'm an NT type), so many things I only observed so far suddenly made sense. Plus I get to learn about what drives other people, what they pursue in life. It's quite a ride - I knew I was different from most people in my life, but now I see why that is. And why my intentions are very often misunderstood. "Character class" is a very good synonym for categorizing people without putting them into rigid, stereotypical boxes that don't do the individual justice... Nice one 😊
That's awesome that you've made sense of things! "Character class" does give a lot of flexibility and still shows you how people approach life. And it has the underlying thread that "we need all character classes to succeed."
This is why i love mbti. Its a perfect avuene for seeing onesekf and personal growth! Thank you for putting it a gamer's perspective that i (and i hope many others) can get behind and continue leveling up!

I used to be unsure if I was INFP or ISFP but I'm pretty certain I'm INFP now, I seem to always test as INFP. I know all about the type but I want specifically growth information as an INFP, that seems to be hard to find.
You wouldn't find any information about it on this video because the thumbnail was a clickbait. That's the only reason why I clicked on it and watched til the end. But no topic was discussed about INFP. What a waste of time!
@ELAR15 ohhh. Good point. I put INFP mainly because I’m INFP. And I see myself as a “priest” or “healer”. No click bait intended. If I said “INFP is the Innovating character class and I’m going to teach you about it” in the title or something and didn’t talk about it, then I’d see that as clear click bait. lol Though I do have many videos on that… Maybe I can rework the thumbnail. Any ideas?
Second👍good Mat, thanks for reaveling so much about my personality im an infp type ppl think that im a big loser, bt god only knows im not im just a nice person 4 all creatures😔
@tarvoc746 no not necessarily. The 16 MBTI types are made up of a combination of 8 “cognitive functions”. The order that they’re arranged in becomes your MBTI type- specifically the top 2. For example, INFPs use “introverted Feeling” and “extraverted iNtuition”. I call those the “Resonating Soul” and the “Innovating Explorer”. Put them together and you get the “Innovating Soul”. Multi-class!
@@GeekPsychology So according to you, not the types but the functions are the individual classes. Okay, but then *every* type is a multi-class combination and not a class, no?
@tarvoc746 yeah. It depends how wide / fractal you go. I treat the 8 functions as individual characters within my mind’s questing party. But the emergent MBTI types need a name, and that is the multi-class name, like you said. Bringing in the Enneagram personality system would also create more variations too…

Great to hear ^^ It's been beyond helpful in my journey as well.
Want to go even further down the MBTI + RPG rabbit hole?
I have a whole course on it... poha.geekpsychology.com
Check it out ^^
I actually once used a similar metaphor to explain the difference between OCEAN and MBTI to one of my former colleagues.
What did you connect OCEAN to?
I do MBTI as character class and Enneagram as the zone you started in... the culture you grew up in.
Love the analogy!

I've genuinely never been this early to a video before. Feels weird.

"Life is a game" is a great metaphor for self-development and has many fun and inspiring components to it. XP, skills, loot, quests, etc.
The image was clickbait to my ego and I accept it
:(
I’ve taken the letters INFP off.

@@ELAR15 An INFP would never intentionally clickbait, he probably feels bad that you think of it that way.
It’s only click bait if the content doesn’t deliver based on the expectations.
And that seems to be the case.

Bad system, doesn't even have multi-class. 😂
Actually… there is! That’s one of the core principles of MBTI and cognitive functions. Just didn’t explain it in that video. Perhaps I should!

I’ve taken them off. Now it’s just an image with no mention of any personality type.
