28:48 "The Butter Zone!" I've never heard that phrase before and it has now been added to my lexicon. Thank you for breaking down 3.0. I just picked up a set of minty core books and am looking forward to reading through them just for the history of the game design. It seems like 3.0 was initially a very lean edition, which appeals to me.
I live in Bogotá Colombia. I own this edition including the adventure game set complete, the three core rule books, the characters sheets and a couple of adventures. My PHB was bought in 2001, so it has at the end the Dragon magazine questions. PD.: this is the first video where I see your face, I imagined you quite similar as you are, but wearing glasses.
The 3.0 box set has some nice tokens to use along with the map you talked about. Also the 3.0 PHB you show I also have as well as a 2nd printing. The 2nd printing of the PHB said this(Nov 2000. changes in this printing supersede previous printings of this book.) Also the disc in back is version 1.2.
That 3.0 Box Set!!! That was the set I pretty much cut my teeth on.... it may not look like much, but it was a really great starter set.... and at 10 dollars it was a really great deal also. While I agree with you 3.0 isn't a good set to collect for that box set still might be something new (or old) players might want to look at if they can get it at a good price. To this day it still is my favorite starter set.
I really like these videos , I love D&D history and all the older D&D stuff , I just picked up greyhawk adventures hard cover book by James M Ward , I think it is for 1st Edition AD&D .. James M Ward created Metamorphosis Alpha the first Scifi rpg game, a classic game that I have never got to play, some day eh ....
I am glad I skipped 3.0, but I like 3.5. Good to know there is some good 3.0 stuff out there. I also did not like the covers for the 3rd edition books, but the art inside was good.
Hey draven great video! I really liked the campaign setting section. Kingdom of kalamar and the dragonlance ones looked pretty dope: ) id like to add to the guide manual of the planes to those who are looking a more planetscape adventure :) it was (and still is) a great book that goes in high detail how cross dimensional and planar mobility works, the many planes that exist, adds a few more classes and even gives instructions how to build your own plane (my favourite part). One question: in your opinion what the diference in content of arms and weapons guide and the adventurers vault 4e. Thanks alot and keep up with the great work ;-)

I got a copy of sunless citadel back when it was first released. I wouldn't say that I loved it, but it was fine

Thanks for this. It has inspired me to put my 3.0 DMG up on ebay (I have a 1st printing PHB) and buy a copy of the Fiend Folio!
