    Answering just to relate my case. Started checking battery voltage with multimeter and was all good, 40v+, so I disassemble the computer unit, and the problem were with the continuity signal from the start button to the board, after the button we have flat with two contacts areas that should touch the board two pins (spring pins), the problem was that was not making good contact, you can test shorting those 2 spring pins and unit should starts. I fixed by placing a thin piece of paper behind that flat cable to elevate it a bit.

    Solution to a deep discharged LI-ION battery: was the battery not used for a long time? then it is most probably the case but don't discard a damage or a contact/connecting problem.
    In this case it may take a long time to charge manually rotating backwards the wheel.
    My recommendation is:
    1- Remove the battery and measure the voltage in the connector. The connector connecting to bike, not the one for the charger. Use the multimeter to measure the voltage between the + and the - connection (symbols marked in the plastic). If we find a low voltage between 0.5V to 18V means we might have deep discharge. If it is 0V there might be something broken internally in the battery but don't discard the deep discharge.
    2- Next step is to take a lab power supply with current meter and OCP preferably. Connect to the contacts + and -, be creative and careful to not damage the contacts. Before starting set the next values: Current limit 0.2A, Voltage equal to the measured voltage previously. Connect now the battery to power supply. Take a look that no overcurrent is happening may means a short circuit somewhere, stop this process and check everything.
    3- Increase the power supply voltage +0.5V at this moment battery should be charging little. Ten minutes later stop charging and measure the voltage. Is the voltage increased? yes? we are on the good way.
    4- Ideally increase the voltage +0.5V once we almost reach the power supply voltage or the charging current slows down around 0.03A (+1V per hour to be safe but always keep an eye on current). Apply smoothly the increments +0.1V per ten second.
    5- Once we get out of the deep discharge state +18V, switch off the power supply, remove your cables, and try to charge as usual with Xiaomi charger. If it doesn't still charge, charge it few volts more.
    Xiaomi should take note of this problem. Battery should have deep discharge protection and a disconnecting switch would be perfect. The deep discharge damages the cells and will decrease the life time and autonomy.
    Users should keep an eye on the charge level. Remove the battery from the bike if is not gonna be used for a week or more. The best is to keep a charge of around 50% (30-70%).

    Hi. That happened to me to. Try to move backwards the wheel until the battery reaches some charge and the charger starts to work. I'm talking about 30 minutes at least.The LEDs in few minutes started to blink and time later the charger. It worked for me

      Comsu thanks for this! What do you mean move backwards the wheel? Should I move the bike backwards? That seems like a long time, 30min. I haven't driven the bike at all, since it came to me this way I though I'd rather deal with geekbuying support first. But they are really slow to respond. Anyway, thanks for this, I'll try to do something like this.

      Symbianity put it upside down on the floor. Take care of the display and move the wheel with the hand. You have to feel the resistance of the motor

      Did it work?

      I'm in the middle of the process now... Been moving the wheel for the past 10 minutes (it makes whistling/whining noise, I suppose that's how it should be). No signs of life though, battery does not give any indications, the display doesn't turn on either.

      It worked!! Amazing. Or should I say terrible from Xiaomi :) Anyway, what I did is plugged the battery to charge and fiddle it until it gave me 2/4 LEDs (like in the video). Then I long pressed the button until all 4 LEDs started blinking. Then I moved the bicycle back and forth for a bit. It was enough to turn the display on, this or the fact that I previously spent at least 15 minutes turning the wheel back. I haven't yet tried charging it fully, but I guess it should be fine. I even managed to pair the bike with an app on my phone. One more thing - during the test drive it didn't seem to change power mode on display. I think I felt more/less power kicking in when the computer button was pressed, but nothing changed on sceen. I started with Eco mode, came back home and had Balanced on (I see that on the app). When at home, if I pressed the button neither the app nor the display wouldn't show that the mode has changed. Do I need FW upgrade?

    Soit. C'est le carte mère... Ou batterie à changer.. Et faire un check. Up. Si le courant passe..ou cest le contro qui envoie pas l'énergie. Il. Faut faire vérifier si le courant est franc ou qu'il n'y a pas de puissance. Si le courant passe pas problemes de bcps de paramètres. Moi j'ai du changer de batt après 2 mois... En garantie xiaomi soit le géant de tts en techno.le chinois tjrs des ennuis.. Bon partis rapport qualité prix mais ça s'arrête là.. Hay que limpiar los.conectores de la bateria a la bici con una pequeña y fina lija.

      Have you tried riding the bike? See my reply to 'Comsu' 9 months ago, I did the same thing and eventually got the display to turn on.

    Turn upsidedown the bike. Move the front wheel backwards until the battery recharges for 1%. After that place the charger for full charge.

      @Symbianity  4 роки тому +1

      tsekvara interesting. I believe I did something like this to “activate” the battery. It did not help. At the end of the day I got the battery replaced with new one and it charged without issues. That said, I still returned the bicycle afterwards, since the battery was disconnecting while riding. I owned the bike for 1.5 years and barely did any riding. Luckily, I got a full refund and now own a M365 electric scooter.

      @@Symbianity hello, i bought this bike last week. and the first day i charged it but the battery was showing just green light. whenever i open the led screen, the battery looks low 6%. Even though i rode at least two hours, it did not reduce yet. should i wait the battery charger gone, does it fix?

    You have 220v power?

    • @Symbianity
      @Symbianity  6 років тому

      MrDevilkeh yes, I’m in EU on 220V sockets. I even tried the cable from Roborock vacuum, as it’s originally EU and doesn’t require adapter - same thing.
