what is monetization like in maple lands compared to artale? specifically cosmetics. I personally like the avatar system and free style pass but im wondering if they blocked avatars. If so, are cash covers permanent or time limited. Trade restrictions?
The best thing you can do is bring it with a double drop cup double mesos double monster experience 2x2x2x because most of us are veteran players and many have jobs or family to share time with, etc. /Another point to highlight would be good if they launched an official classics server soon and little by little bringing versions, I think what hurts the current map is too many professions and everything is based on money, I think they can make money with 2 exp cards for 4 hours or 8 hours or 12 hours etc for intense people/ I also heard rumors of an American who filtered what Nexon Korean staff said, who saw that a maplestory memories file was coming out based on maplestory global 2005, etc. I hope they release it soon and if they enable the Spanish language, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, in Latin America there are many veterans. too many Thanks for you Work and information to MapleStory 😄✌
My biggest concern is the rates, i know that people are FIRM in their beliefs that theyll go back to old school 1x exp/drop and have fun grinding for hours, but im not so sure. The fabric of gaming has changed dramatically, there aren't a tone of success modern titles that are as grind heavy as OSMS. And i know people want to say "then why is maplelands successful in korea" and to that i say korean gaming is much much different than US gaming, to expect gamers to grind and be as dedicated as koreans is very optimistic. And i know there is the group that will get on and grind, but a game cannot survive exclusively on old school nostalgia players, it needs to hook new blood to be truly successful
It think in the worst of cases there's still wiggle room. OSMS it took a good month to get to Lv 30, nevermind if you needed to farm. Current MS you can easily get to Lv 100+ in a week with moderate effort, making progression between 1 and late game complete fluff outside of key gear.
idk how it work entirely but if adding customs in and modifying the rates is possible i think its possible to reach an happy medium ....full old schools no....but dont want to go full retail direction either...there should be a balance between PQ & Bossing for gear upgrades....as for old days scrolls that system need much better rating...because 10% rate was just too low success..minimum of 60% for yellow scrolls, 77% for brown scroll and 100% for blue scrolls....booming scrolls only if they are 70% and 90% intead of 30%/70%...while i dont think white scroll should be in...i think a scroll that increase the rate of the next scroll that is use by 20% should be in as a rare drop or small chance from weekly bosses....example...60%--->80%...if 7 upgrades are available like old days, passing all 7 would be like 21% chance...still pretty rough for perfection...average of 35 scrolls to make 1 perfect items...for the drops rate odds i think they should be roughly 1 in 5000 kills IF mob density and movement speed is like old school....but if mobs density is rly rly high and movement speed is as good as current retail then 1 in 20,000 would be good rate without being too abysmal/painful farm...like no one wanna farm a lvl 35 mob on a lvl 80 for 5 days straigth for a single drop ya know....assuming the scrolls would be droppable from lets say popular farming maps i think ppl would like it much more than being bound to farm a bad exp mob......3000 kills on current maple is roughy 30 mins.......so if the rate were 1/20000 that be roughly 3 hours and 40 mins....now lets multiply it by 35(whats needed for 1 perf item average).....128 hours total....even an hardcore farmer would take 13 days to get 1 perf item....but from a casual point thats like 1 month and 9 days......most players would be happy passing at least 4-5 scrolls(32%/41% chances)....or even 3 successfully passing 3(50% chance)...those wanting full perfection would likely trade for some extra......as for the exp and drop rate..simply implement the following system all characters on the acc can claim a 3 hours 2X exp tix + 2 hours 2X drop rate tix per day(cap of 2 characters that can claim each buff everyday).....once every 3 weeks let them turn on event bonus exp for 24 hours(+200% exp + 100% drop rate)..that way they can experience 4X exp like old time once in a while and also have a hot drops days while stll being close to og maple experience
@@bllllood i wouldn't want any daily login stuff tbh, forces me to log in everyday and makes me miss out on crazy exp. 3 or 2 hours boosted rates meaning i HAVE to grind those hrs to keep up daily? chores are lame. (i bring no solution, but just my qualms with dailies)
@@Kurduhkus so you would prefer a system that stack up those tickets since acc creation which you could use whenever ? could do that but in that case would have to cap the amount of exp ticket that can be use during the 24 hours event i suggested so its not possible to run 4X exp for 24 hours..alternatively you could play a world with no exp tick no exp event and perma boosted drop rate which has perma 8X exp base + perma 3X drop rate...little off from classic experience but speedy lvling/progress alway active may be more in your tastes ?...i'd be curious as how you'd like it exactly
@@bllllood I don't think that's what the above commenter is suggesting at all. If an item is untradable or account bound, placing an arbitrary time expiration on it is just unnecessary. And I like the idea that you have a way to collect/accumulate 2x exp/drop but I don't want a daily chores check in to earn them. mapleland's monetization model is basically the same, mapleland just doesn't have buffs you can buy in the cash shop, and pets in mapleland don't last forever like they do in artale. but you can still sell cash shop items for mesos like you can in artale so it's not much different
@@chaofruit I can't understand how you guys dont care about that. I didn't know there was RWT but this is a huge NO for me now.
