As someone who has had two ingrown toenails removed, they numb the toe which means you don't "feel it" but lemme tell you you can feel them tugging on the nail and digging it out. The first time I got it done the guy was great. The second time (new guy), he was so rough and the pain immense I nearly passed out while he did it. Feels good once they're removed and healed tho.
