- Teaching your dogs how to walk with a stroller doesn't have to be hard. The first thing to do is teach your dog not to pull on leash even without a stroller. Focus on teaching them the heel command and make sure they truly master it.
Teach them how to do a left turn and a right turn while staying in the heel position. Once they have mastered this, practice with the stroller itself. Make sure they are heeling at your side (not even with the stroller) and practice the other tips in this video. If you do, walking your dog and your baby at the same time will be a fun and enjoyable experience.

I had to practice for about 4 months before my first was born. My yellow lab feared anything with wheels (bikes, strollers, trash can toters, etc.). I was the crazy lady with a Cabbage Patch Doll in a stroller walking my dog at night in the middle of winter. I was so happy I took the time to learn before my baby was born. It would have been so hard to do with a newborn.
