I know this video is meant to show the classical version of this technique, which is done really well just like all of your videos. But I wonder, what is the best way of doing this technique under the new grip rules (no leg grips)?
The only way to really do this under the IJF gripping rules would be to take a grip around the waist rather than the leg, but it doesn't offer the same level of lower body control. It may still work as a counter attack, but you would more likely use techniques like Ura-nage, Ushiro-goshi or Utsuri-goshi in these situations.
I will check out Ushiro-Goshi and Utsuri-Goshi for sure. I like Ura Nage from all directions, specially now that I've seen that bear hugs with locks are IFJ-legal hehe.
I love this technique but can be effective against heavier opponent? Grab leg and arm and twist my opponent down without lifting? I've tried so and works but is it sukui nage or te guruma? Thanks sensei
If there is a significant weight difference - it will be hard to lift them. Sukui-nage is a good option without the lift. Be aware thay both techniques involved grabbing the leg which isn't legal under the IJF rules.
@@EfficientJudo i'm a Pankration and a Kudo Fighter that compete in openweight division and i'm often in this position when i close the distance with my opponent Ok sukui nage twisting forward my opponent ... but i don't understand well the difference between the two techniques te guruma and sukui nage Thanks for all sensei
@@EfficientJudo ok but this is a backward throw ... and the forward thorw where i catch the leg and the arm of my opponent and i drive him forward of him pushing high the leg and down the arm ?... in other words rotate him before lifting like the guruma
@@EfficientJudo ok but this a backward throw ... while a forward throw? I catch the leg and arm of my opponent and i drive him forward of him pushing high the leg and pulling down the arm, in other words in te guruma i rotatate him in air after the lift, while i rotate before the lift. I listen that many call this technique sukui nage ... This is the video: ua-cam.com/video/QWdv1E9vg3o/v-deo.html
J'ai rarement vu cette technique en attaque. Je l'ai surtout vue en contre-attaque
It was used more as a counterattack, but it can certainly be used as a direct attack when set up for it.

Georgian pick up is great too but don´t care about tournaments, I´ll keep training my te gurumas forever.

I don't understand why that is banned in IJF, scooping isn't the same as literally grabbing the legs, cmon IJF give it back
It's about differentiating itself from wrestling for the IOC. Sad, but itd the way it is.
When your girl asks you for a princess lift.
Can we use this in mma? 🤔
Of course
вогнегасник?
Thanks for watching!
Is this allowed now ?
You're not allowed to grab the legs under IJF rules.
What about inside from this technique ? ( inside Te_guruma)
@@akgang4748 it would still be considered a leg grab, as you're not allowed to touch below the belt line.
Eu sou uma pessoa rica para que me preocupar com isso. Eu vivo numa boa a minha vida é muito bela eu não estou precisando disso obrigado.
