I am a BMW fanboy and an owner, and I give credit where credit is due. Run what you brung is my motto , and this was a good race. Kudos to Audi. That 2.5 isn’t a joke. BMW has some work to do.

Well depends on the tune but in manual mode it won't up shift so essentially it's the same as hitting redline with a manual

This was a close race. A car length difference, both cars were moving and it was competitive. Two great platforms.
If you keep the TTRS/RS3s in auto S mode and then paddle to 2nd, it won't bounce rev limit at redline but shift up to 3rd right at it. And it WILL stay in the gear you selected long enough to start the race.

The off the shelf tunes for Audi vs BMW are night and day. BMW does some dynos etc and then release but the intention generally is for you to get a custom tune on the same platform. For Audi all the OTS tune companies will revise a lot until they have the best reliable tune for those bolt ons. The other difference is besides DS1 you're not able to do custom tunes. DS1 allows for both OTS and custom. before Unitronic released their flex fuel the only reason to really go with DS1 before hybrid turbo was for full flex fuel. Most people will stick with Unitronic as it's easy to upgrade your car in stages. Now if you're new to the platform and know you plan on a bigger turbo DS1 probably is the best choice while if you want to stay stage 2 max then uni is best bang for buck.
