    In this video we are going to see how to make vegetable kurma in tamil (veg kurma recipe)
    Ingredients : green peas - handful, beans - 20, carrot - 2, potato - 1, garlic - 1 (whole), tomato - 2, onion - 2, ginger - small piece, green chilli - 2, grated coconut - ½ cup, fennel seed - 1 tsp, cashew nuts - 15, poppy seeds - 1 tsp, cinnamon - small piece, cardamom - 2, cloves - 2, bay leaf - 2, chilli powder - ½ tsp, turmeric powder - ½ tsp, some coriander leaves and curry leaves, refined oil - 5 tsp and salt as much as necessary
    Note : 1. Cut beans, carrots & potato in to small pieces, 2. Grind ginger and garlic to a fine paste, 3. Chop onions, tomatoes as shown in the video 4. Soak cashew nuts and poppy seeds in hot water for 15 mins to get a thick paste while grinding further, 5.We are making this vegetable kurma for 4 persons
    First put chopped beans, carrots, potato and green peas into a cooker and add water until the vegetables sinks - and some salt - Switch on the stove - close the cooker lid and leave for one whistle - after a whistle vegetables are cooked - keep a pan in the stove and add one tsp oil to it - and add fennel seeds and slit green chillies and fry until seeds turns golden brown - now put this fried fennel seeds, green chillies with grated coconut, soaked cashew nuts and poppy seeds to a mixie jar and grind with little water to get a thick paste and keep it aside - in the same pan add 4 tsp oil - and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, curry leaves and sauté for 15 secs in medium flame - then add chopped onions to it and sauté until it becomes translucent - add ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away - now add chopped tomatoes and some salt and cook until tomatoes becomes soft - add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and some water and sauté for 30 secs - now transfer the cooked vegetables to this content - also add the coconut paste mix to it with 2 tumbler of water - finally add necessary salt and coriander leaves and cook until it starts boiling - after starts boiling mix well and switch of the stove - now ready to serve
    Try this tasty vegetable kurma which goes well with chapathi, poori, dosa and parotta
