murray won this wimbledon on the back of pure grit, guts and mental fortitude. He was outplayed here against verdasco and against janowicz in the semi final, but refused to be denied. Didn't give an inch, stayed within touching distance at all times and waited for his opponents to waver, then he held firm like a rock and prevailed.
2013 The Stars Aligned,, Federer Shock exit, Novak played five Sets against Del Potro in Semi's.. Sir Andrew Barron Murray played A rookie in Semi Final.. Well Deserved Victory for Tennis Royalty..
Andrew Castle literally tells the umpire off for telling the crowd to be quiet during the points, and Boris is supposed to be the expert analyst but doesn't see that Murray's defensive style in this match is what won it. Tim Henman is the best commentator out of the three - and the quietest. Not a coincedence.
Feed me a hammer and I will crap out nails. Murray also beat Djokovic at the Olympics 2012 in a grueling encounter. He’s actually 5-0 in sets against Djokovic on grass
Josh Jones No way is Murray better than Djokovic on grass. 5 titles vs 2. Djokovic beat Nadal once and Federer who is the best grass courter ever 3 times. Murray has never defeated nadal or Federer at Wimbledon
I mouseovered the thumbnail and saw someone that looks like Sir Alex Ferguson walking to his seat. That's really him, isn't it? Anyone knows the timestamp?
Both players are played very bad...As per technically....verdasco better than Andy .... But he played very bad...kindly check boths unforced errors..all the match..
More like underrated. He beat prime Djokovic and Nadal 2 times each in grand slams, beat Fed and Del Po to win 2 OG medals, won a WTF against Djokovic and managed to reach world number 1. He was an underachiever in my eyes with the talent he had.
He beats the three goats 5 times in GS and that means he deserves win 5 Grand Slam but he win just 3 and swapped the remaining 2 slams with 2 golden Olympics if he gave these golden medals to Federer & Djokovic and win Australian open twice it will be more normal
Andy Murray has always been kinda hero for me... I would request Andy Murray vs Milos Raonic Wimbledon 2016 Final | Full Match Replay.
He never gives up even during a career against the greatest players of all time! Good hero to have! 👍
Same here. Amazung guy. And why is the murray dyco final not up!? Do u think some kind of rights issue?
At 3:23:10 is when I knew Murray wasn't only going to win this match, but the whole Championships.
This is akin to Federer's 4th round match at the French in 2009; most important comeback of his career.

Being both a talented actor 'and' tennis player is rare. Antonio Banderas should be proud of himself.

3:26:40 made me laugh. Everyone so invested awing on the missed first serve 😂.

Remembered this epic match Andy really a fighter and mentally strong to fight till the end a true legend 💪💪
Verdasco must still wonder how he lost this. Murray just never gives up !
Nice match. Great handshake
Great timing just when Fernando Alonso signed with Renault F1.
Hard to understand why Verdasco hasn’t done more in his career. Can crack the serve, has a massive topspin FH, & a solid BH.
He's playing in the era of the' big 4'. If he can't close out a match against the weakest of the big four, then that's the answer.
reg man I meant there’s other players of lesser ability that have managed to do much more than him.
@@regworld1167 he beated Murray in Aussie 2009 but Nadal was superior opponent in that tournament
Not solid backhand. Always fragile.
@@danguee1 Solid when he's playing good and many times its even a weapon. But every shot in verdascos game is fragile including the serve and fh
For a moment there I thought it was a live event, damn :( well might as well rewatch this one!
Just read the title of the video 😭
1:00:29 WACKKKKKKKKK!!!!!
Don't know anything about Verdasco before today, but he's a total beast. He just needed to get a better handle on all that power.
Was that match ball really out? I tried watching at 0.25X speed and zoomed in, but it's hard to tell from the angle... 😬
Enjoyable match but as ever the Andrew Castle commentary is borderline unbearable
3:22:15 is a Loreal ad
please is so difficult up the quarterfinal of 2007 federer vs ferrero? merci gracias thanks grazie......

only 720... they can upload the higher res if they want to
At least it's 60fps
Watched this Matched on BBC on BBC on One / TWO
Why no scoreboard?
who would've guessed Murray's easiest opponent in the second week would be Djokovic?
@Feed me a hammer and I will crap out nails. this is so true i know Novak won more but still feel Murray is better on grass

James F He’s not better but his game is more naturally suited to grass. His touch/feel and volleys are exceptional, also very good slice and dropshot.
@@Jamesyates2609
technically, he has beaten Federer "at Wimbledon" the 2012 Olympics was held there.
as usual with other Verdasco' close losses, he was the better ball striker but not the better tennis player.
Verdasco choked. What else is new.
that tendency offset one of the best forehands of all time
@Wimbledon Please share the 2015 Murray vs Federer. One of the greatest match ever
I mouseovered the thumbnail and saw someone that looks like Sir Alex Ferguson walking to his seat. That's really him, isn't it? Anyone knows the timestamp?
thx
Verdasco had this won - couldn’t close 🥵
Live?
Geblek. Live dari thn 2013?
Scoreboard???
Verdasco definitely in the converation about best players who didn't win a slam. Tsonga maybe
but probably Nalbandian tops the list?
Tim Henman, Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer, Richard Gasquet, Agnieska Radwanska, Mary Joe Fernández, Helena Sukova...
Miloslav Mecir.
Fernando Tabasco
he needed some Tabasco to cross the finish line.

I READ THAT THE STADIUM HOLDS CLOSE TO 15000 PPL, ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS SO SMALL, , I'D SAY SOMETHING CLOSE TO 1500 PPL ....
Andy zinde vs nadal dushman.

Oh man, Verdasco shoulda won
So if Murray loses this one Djokovic would have 6 Wimbledon titles today. I don't think he would have lost against neither Verdasco nor Janowicz.
Novak was very weak mentally in big matches in slams at the time. He won 3 slams from 12-14 and he could have lost all those 3 too.

Andy Murray Just win by verdasco Bad game......
Murray ain’t coming back RIP
Whatcha mean pal?

Verdasco's a choker
Verdasco 10000 times better than Andy murry...
Murray is the most overrated tennis player of all time.
Most underrated his 3 slams don't do him justice for the level of consistency he had.
Overrated? Your joking right?

Jacob Schmidt underachiever? How he won so much with that second serve he has I’ll never know.
