Yeah I had the Hawaii Watch as well.. still best ever... unfortunately it died on me so now I'm using the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro until a good WearOS watch is available.... I'll wait for the new CPUs that's for sure...
@@7techno77 I prefer WearOS. It has a keyboard, better voice dictation, better integration with Android apps, Google Assistant, and a better looking UI. I had a Gear S3 Classic in addition to my WearOS watches and I loved it too.
When should we even start seeing watches with the new CPU anyways? maybe feb? I never owned a WearOS watch, just had my old samsung watch , but I'm looking to get a Pixel 3 with a wearOS watch that has the new CPU.
New Android user here.. I agree with all that I've read about a new snapdragon chip about to be released im confused why so many companies decided to make new watches without the new chip.. I'm excited to see what the fall season has. Hopefully someone makes a watch as beautiful as this one!
i tried android wear 2.0 on the tickwatch a few mon ths back...hated it...constantly losing connection, late or non existant notifications of calls or messages resulting in alot of missed calls/messages and the worst battery life i ever seen...went back to my pebble time with rebbel now running it...works flawless and i get promp notification and everythign works great...and i only have to charge once every weekend IF that...
The Wear 2100 is a great SoC in devices like the Huawei Watch 2, which easily can go two days on a charge and offer very responsive performance. That being said, the Huawei Watch 2 is more than a year old now. With the new SoC coming out soon, Wear 2100 is a deal breaker. I also have the LG Watch Style and I can't risk something with that bad of battery life lol
Hate that these companies are pretending to have eliminated the flat tire of the Moto360, but they really just inset the active screen within the face to avoid the light sensor. Makes it look like there's a ridiculously thick bezel when the face is lit up. I'd rather just have the edge to edge experience. Since Lenovo trashed the Moto, can someone else please do this right?
The series 4 is amazing. It’s better than my gear s3 in basically every way. My only problem with it is that it doesn’t do sleep tracking. But other than that, it’s the best smartwatch. At least in my opinion.
BEAUTIFUL HARDWARE. Possibly the best in smart watches. why did they release it before the new chip?? Dead in the water :( Hope they re-release an upgrade with new chip
UA-cam tech reviewers are like the out of touch characters on Silicone Valley. An end of life chipset allows the manufacturer to sell at a lower price point. Its the iPhone SE sales model, duh.
I was rocking an LG G Watch which is old with an even worse chip-set and it performed perfectly fine with no lag. Unless you are trying to game on the watch or something then i guess is not a good chip...lol
Because they pretend like the eliminated the "flat tire" of the Moto360, but really they just made the whole screen smaller to avoid the light sensor. I'd rather have the edge to edge so I'm still using my gen 2 Moto until someone gets this right.
Why are these companies coming out with new products on the dated 2100 chip? It makes no sense. Looks like a nice watch, but zero chances I would buy with the old chip.
Does it have microphone and a speaker? Is there rosegold version? I don't want to buy Samsung. Is a slightly outdated processor such a big problem? I heard that new one is almost the same. I don't expect big difference in battery life. Smartphones are getting new chips but screen on time battery life is always the same highest is 5 hours average is 3-5h
Can't agree on the good design statement. Little reason for smart watches still being round. That's no analogue clockwork that we need to mimick in the design for a digital watch.
you're welcome. i would still recommend the 3. generation by the way, because the new one doesn't have speakers anymore. at least if you care about that. i like my google assistent actually telling me stuff instead of me reading it. but the 4 generation has a heart rate monitor so if you care more about that, you should go with the 4. generation
Very nice watch - wish it had the new Qualcomm CPU...
Yeah I had the Hawaii Watch as well.. still best ever... unfortunately it died on me so now I'm using the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro until a good WearOS watch is available.... I'll wait for the new CPUs that's for sure...
Yes, due to Google Assistant
@@7techno77 I prefer WearOS. It has a keyboard, better voice dictation, better integration with Android apps, Google Assistant, and a better looking UI. I had a Gear S3 Classic in addition to my WearOS watches and I loved it too.
Agree

Can I pair headsets
If it had the 3100 I would have instantly bought it
What a beautiful smartwatch to have.
when does the falster 3 come out?
what is the name of the first smartwatch that appeared in the video?
"slightly outdated?!" More like two years or so outdated as hell. With the new chipset coming out none of these are worth it in my opinion. Hard no.
Tbh, the newer SD didn't do much lol, see at the Fossil Sport. Marginal longer lasting battery, pretty same perfomance.
When is out? Where can I buy it?
Waiting for all the new smart watches with the new Qualcomm CPU
I hear that these fall apart a lot, is that true?
what is the glass made of ?
Android is going super hard this year. Big Pimping with this watch.
can facer installed to this watch?
Have a charge inalambric?
please suggest me a wear os watch, that has .. compass, altimeter , gmaps , navigation, notifications.
Does it have a speaker?
Does anybody know if this smart watch has a loud speaker for notifications ?
So was there/is a Falster 1 model?
Yes. No NFC, no GPS but gorgeous.
Looks slick 🔥
9 months in and I think only fossil has the new chip, and still doesn't pales in comparison to the gear s4

Price?

That is one nice looking watch!
To me the brightness are quite dime as compare to galaxy watch active but this watch are minimalistic design both are good.
Okay but have you heard of the Ticwatch E
The series 4 is amazing. It’s better than my gear s3 in basically every way. My only problem with it is that it doesn’t do sleep tracking. But other than that, it’s the best smartwatch. At least in my opinion.
You got that right, for the first time tizen from Samsung on the smartwatches are better then wear O. S.
BEAUTIFUL HARDWARE. Possibly the best in smart watches. why did they release it before the new chip?? Dead in the water :(
Hope they re-release an upgrade with new chip
Does anybody know if you can send typed text messages on these?
It's using WearOS, so by default, it has too
Wish it had a bigger dial!
Love that band!
In my opinion, it's the best android smartwatch design. But the old cpu makes it a hard no.
UA-cam tech reviewers are like the out of touch characters on Silicone Valley. An end of life chipset allows the manufacturer to sell at a lower price point. Its the iPhone SE sales model, duh.
Waste of nice design with that chip ...
I was rocking an LG G Watch which is old with an even worse chip-set and it performed perfectly fine with no lag. Unless you are trying to game on the watch or something then i guess is not a good chip...lol
@@BigBoss-lm6cf I have the Faster 2, and does exactly what I need it to do, and it never lags.
This one looks super nice.. Too bad with the CPU choice though :/
Ok that’s probably the nicest non Apple Watch so far. Too bad about the outdated processor.
Would have easily overtaken the TicWatch Pro and LG Watch Sport as the best smartwatch but it sadly matches those with SDW2100
Used android wear for 4 years
Gave up on it every reboot Google neglect it all over again.
Why doesn't the screen go to the bezel? Design is wierd, seems like a waste of space
Because they pretend like the eliminated the "flat tire" of the Moto360, but really they just made the whole screen smaller to avoid the light sensor. I'd rather have the edge to edge so I'm still using my gen 2 Moto until someone gets this right.
Outdated before it's even released. Hard pass.
What's a decent wearos smartwatch ? I was considering the fossil sport .
Why are these companies coming out with new products on the dated 2100 chip? It makes no sense. Looks like a nice watch, but zero chances I would buy with the old chip.
Nice!
put the dials on the left
Looks like ticwatch e with metal base
It's a very good-looking watch. Their timing sucks. Should have waited for the 3100 SoC. Guess I'll wait for the Falster 3.
The new chip isn't gonna be much better....
More importantly, what's the battery life like?
I want a smartwatch that is stylish but doesn’t try and look like a traditional watch.
I like Huawei Watch 2 Classic (which has GPay)
The watch looks ok but it pales in comoarison to prety mutch every seiko under 300 dollars
The problem with this watch was the absolute **** battery life... Otherwise it's a very nice watch!
just buy a tic watch e, save your self a 100$ and u can buy what ever band you want with the spare cash and more.
Skagen is basically where I live what.
Does it have microphone and a speaker? Is there rosegold version? I don't want to buy Samsung.

3100 SoC is a very big improvement in performance.
That watch is ridiculously thick. Smart watches are nowhere near thin enough yet to be usable or look good.
It's pronounced "skeyn"...
Looks like a Moto
Too short and very light on detail. Pretty much a waste of time
It has terrible reviews on Amazon.
The Falster 2 isn't released yet so it may be the 1st version you're looking at on Amazon.
O okay looked like it was the 2nd but you may be right..thanks
When I want a smartwatch I don't want something that looks like an actual watch that's where Apple stands out
I believe literally the opposite, so for each his own.
Can't agree on the good design statement. Little reason for smart watches still being round. That's no analogue clockwork that we need to mimick in the design for a digital watch.
No lte? No buy
But can it run crysis?
Snapdragon 2100...and Skip
fossil q explorist looks better
Yes that'd be my choice too.
it's really good. only the battery could be better. depending on my usage i sometimes only get like 14 hours of battery life
@@benikaya Ok, that's good to know. I'm using the ticwatch s and sometimes it doesn't last that long. I might move to the Fossil, thanks 😃

Way to small
Damn, that's the ugliest smartwatch I've ever seen. It's one of the ugliest watches I've seen. Dear God.
Ffs its a Watch 😂😂😂
