Adultery and re-marriage is a hotly debated topic within the Church. To often, opinions and "best-practices" guide our thinking on this culturally relevant issue. Let's find out what Jesus had to say about marriage and divorce...
The shorter videos are great they work for me in the morning after my Bible reading. Hope all is well Like. Your doing a fine job.
Thanks Lowell! I'm trying to find a good balance between the short and long ones. Hope you and Karen are well too!
@@2BeLikeChrist doing well my friend.
Thanks for what you are doing Luke!
Hey Jesse, thanks for the encouragement!
I left my husband for another man he got several women pregnant during our separation.i divorced him.now I don’t know what to do?
It's disobedience in marriage throughout history.
I still don't get how an innocent woman who was divorced by her wicked husband would be committing adultery by remarrying. She was divorced by no fault of her own, hence, she was NOT married anymore (again, through no fault of her own). How is that adultery when she remarried?
Agreed don't listen to these heretical you tube idiots.
The word apoluo in Greek means there was no bill of divorce. I can't figure it out.
evidently, according to the Bible, there is no innocent partner, eh...
God created the marriage institution, the real question is one should wait on God to arrange a marriage. This is a hard word but we as Christian shouldn't jump in and out of marriage like the world.😊
You can’t remarry, because your first husband is still your husband.
it is the same, today....as a woman, divorced is likely to seek another spouse.....ergo adultery...
What's the name/link of the next video you mentioned. Of why is it so important to God, to keep marriages together ? GREAT VIDEO BTW...TWO THUMBS UP
There isn’t a follow up to this as of 4/14/2021.
@@johnborland7865 it should be clear. You’re making a promise with God. A promise can’t be broken, expect for specific situations.
@@bepreparedforwhatscoming4975 Yes and a party to the most intimate relationship possible for humans should be someone you can trust with things. Betrayal, especially physical betrayal, like violence, or sexual infidelity ends the trustworthiness of the betrayer. This should absolutely end the covenant. We are required to forgive, yes, but we are not required to trust someone foolishly, after they have broken trust, even more so when they refuse to even attempt to rebuild after breaking the trust. If Divorce is good enough for God, Jer. 3:6, it is good enough for me.
@@iamjusjamn so you believe Ephesians 5:25 requires the betrayed to end themselves. Got it. You advise it. So are you going to nail me up on a cross as the Bible requires here, or do I have to crucify myself to satisfy the bloodthirsty nature of you and the god you serve?
Have you done the 2nd vidoe yet on marriage being a representation to something greater? Can't seem to find it.
Exactly I’m so confused 😂😂😂😂😂

😎 Hello 🖖🖐️ Ok my wife divorced me I was not commitn adultery, matter fact I was blind sided so I know how God feels about her end. She go be commiting adultery but if I fine someone will God see me as commitn adultery?
We both cheated.IM single.but he went on to marry his mistress
What if one spouse commits adultery and then shortly after, the other spouse begins pursuing another person before they have formally divorced? Are they both now adulterous?
Yes both in adultery. Legal divorce doesn’t break the marriage covenant. Vows can be broken by one or both spouses, but only death breaks the marriage covenant. Read Malachi 2:14…
One man, one women till death do you part. If a married couple cannot be together for safety reasons or unfaithfulness then they must both stay single or reconcile. Read 1 Corinthians 7:11, then v 39. Also Romans 7:1 onwards.
We must be very careful who we marry. We only get one shot at marriage unless we are widowed. Meaning, 2 widows can remarry only in the Lord or a widow can marry someone who has never been married before.
The exception clause in Matthew is fornication-not adultery. Fornication is when unmarried people have a sexual relationship.

Yes
adultery is not the exception....and the Bible states that whosoever marries a divorced woman, is committing adultery...
@@philipbuckley759That's exactly right! You are only free to marry another if one spouse dies.
Sir,I have girlfriend but she is already divorce and we want to marry. Is it truth?
No dont do it
if there is no Biblical justification....then, from Gods point of view she is still bound, or married to her spouse....and if your were to marry, according to the Bible that would be adultery.....
@@philipbuckley759 My Girlfriend's ex husband got married another girl.So Now what should do next way from my girlfriend?
@@arghale8160 marry her
@@marryjane1684 Madam..it seems like you do not know how to respect one's marriage. You are teaching a person to become an ADULTERER if he is going to marry his girlfriend who is DIVORCED. Read again the bible Madam, about how JESUS CHRIST taught about ADULTERY. A humble suggestion for you, you better pray for the broken relationship whether it is married or any type of and pray as well to people whose marriage are still strong that may GOD will always be at the center of their marriage..and that may heal all the broken relationship and bring back the closeness that they used to have before..May GOD bless you..
why sexual immorality....after all sex out of the marriage bond is called....adultery???
stop playing with the camera....
escape these false teacher.....or flee them....that is...
You mention 3 min videos. Too short for me. I find your 5min videos the perfect length. I am far away from being a millennial though....I have millennial adult children.
I'm glad you like the longer videos because I haven't done a very good job at making them shorter haha.
King James Bible interprets the original Greek word apoluo as meaning the same thing as divorce. Apoluo does not mean divorce. It means to put away or send away. Apostasion is the Greek word for writ of divorcement.
Beware of using King James interpretation of scripture to pass judgement. Many Jewish scholars would totally disagree with your conclusions which are based on faulty king James bastardization of the original language.
There are allot of errors in this teaching; Matt 5:32 is NOT an exception for sexual immorality; it is an exception for fornication (premarital Immorality) while betrothed to get married under Jewish Law; it means to divorce the espoused wife before marriage. Moses allowed divorce NOT God.
Can you prove Jesus was only talking about pre-marital immorality? I'm familiar with the difference between betrothal and marriage, but I'm not aware of anything that would limit Jesus' words to the betrothal period.
In the KJV the word is fornication (pornea); this word is usually employed in scripture to refer to the physical immorality of single people; Adultery (mochea) is always used to describe betrayal of married people in covenant. Immoral married people are never described as fornicators even thou fornication is a broad term for immorality: Not all Adultery is necessarily sexual in nature; any act of betrayal is a violation of the covenant. God said in Genesis NOT to separate a man and woman coming from their parents and entering into marriage; he did NOT offer exceptions. It might be possible that divorce itself is a form of adultery; which is scary; since Adulterers cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.@@2BeLikeChrist

4 minutes and not really any explanation other than the obvious.
Yeah, its tough to fit anything into that short a period of time. I have more information on this text in my full-length Matthew 5 and Matthew 19 video as well as in my notes on both chapters... the videos are on UA-cam and all the notes can be found at this link.... www.2belikechrist.com/resources

@@2BeLikeChrist The issue is, I have a personal situation and I'm trying to understand some things. I get frustrated when all I hear is what everyone else says, but I don't get any real answers.
