    Thank you Jesus for loving us so much that you gave your life for us. To say that I am humbled is the understatement of my life, You, Jesus are my life, my heart aches for the day that I will look upon your face and fall to the floor to wash your feet with my tears. All Glory To God in the highest. 💖💖💖

    So beautiful. To think this was played openly on the radio back in the ’70s and ’80s and now being a Christian is publicly deemed a shameful thing. As it was written, what is wrong will be treated as wright and what is wright will be considered wrong, look for the signs, He is coming.

    The best version of this song I have heard so far. As i was praying today, this song came to my mind and i searched for it in youtube and found. i was taught this song in my senior high school in 1976. Didn't know very much about Jesus back then or who the man in Galilee was . This song made an impact in my heart then and still does. Love this song now in 2021. Wish I could put my hands in His hands.

    For many years it can go over peoples' heads like it did mine that this song is about Jesus. In hearing this song on the radio in The Summer of 1988 on the car radio and listening to it I'd finally gotten all of the words to it since first hearing it in 1971.

      Hmmm...I didn’t think there was any other known man from Galilee, especially one who could still the water, nor anyone else who tossed up a temple full of merchants like He did.
      I remember as a kid thinking that was cool for Him to do, to demand people not “sell” God or try to sell favors from Him. Lots of churches still do that, big time They have all kinds of rationalizations for it. I can think of one that has its own city and a gold palace that still does it, and always has. (They also have an Egyptian obelisk to honor the Egyptian fertility god in their square; an assembly hall shaped as a serpent’s head, complete with serpent’s eyes for windows, and fangs for the columns on the inside at the front; their leader and his helpers wear lots of various pagan symbols, and they carry them around as well, and it’s built into the architecture as well; and they jointly own, with the Luciferian 33° Freemasons of NASA, a telescope which they named L.U.C.I.F.E.R.).
      Don’t tell their members, they take it very personally, and they do not see the love behind clueing them in and encouraging them to stop listening to lies (as if you’d need help seeing all that, it’s so obvious, but I guess some do), and to instead read the KJV for themselves, despite the warnings of their leader not to...and to talk to God directly, despite the warnings not to, because their leader says it is “dangerous” to talk to God yourself. Poor souls, it would be great for them and they’d be happier if they’d just stop taking.personal offense and do it anyway, because Jesus said to do it, that’s why. Full-on blasphemy from day 1 with them. They also do a lot of other stuff He said not to do, and they don’t do things He said to do. But they certainly aren’t the only ones, not by a long shot. Jesus never charged anyone for his speaking nor his healing, and He said it was the work of His Father anyway, that He could do nothi without his Father. (He also said to call no one else “Father”, especially pretend “holy men”. And not to bow down to or pray to statues or images, no matter how sacred and happy they make you feel. No praying with trinkets in your hands, either, you don’t need “stuff” to talk to God. You don’t need anything but a sincere heart, it turns out. That’s why he overturned the tables and set the animals free. No stuff. Just you and God. And we’re not to make any image of anything in heaven or beneath the earth. That would include angels, wouldn’t it? Yes, it would. Bye-bye tree topper on the Yule tree some call a Christmas tree.
      There’s been some creative editing even with the recent publications of the original KJV, so it’s always good to get an old copy wherever possible, no later than the 70’s, but better to go further back whenever possible. Careful of who puts them out for distribution, too. Many organizations have dark uses for theirs, some even have an inverted pentagram emblazoned on them in gold. Don’t buy those...
      I’m still learning everything He said to do, but I have also learned a lot about what NOT to do as well. And when He says no, He means no. I think most people would be surprised what is a no. Seems like it anyway. I see a lot of rationalizations out there. I don’t think the excuses will work when He was pretty clear about it.
      Anyway, if people hadn’t heard about Him at all, they’d not know He was from Galilee or anything He may have done, so I can see what you mean about not knowing. Glad you did find out:)

    This song stuck with me since I heard it when I was just a little one. I loved their voices, too. Seemed like a good idea, what they said. Even when the parents joined a false Christian cult, somehow I knew it wasn’t quite following the Jesus stories I’d heard, and I could feel evil crawling on me at their church, so I found many harmless ways to be sent home as often as possible. I did also lie and say I felt like I was going to throw up now and then, too. Once I even opened the car door and tried to jump out of the car on the way, but mom grabbed the edge of my dress and pulled me back in as I was calculating the leap-and-roll-but-avoid-the-door-swinging-back-or falling-under-the-tires factor . It was horrid to go there. So evil. Better to be considered a “bad child” than to be subjected to the insanely creepy place and the fake people there, and I refused to go along with it at all as soon as I was a bit older and could handle the punishment and they wouldn’t be likely to try to pick me up and physically drag me anymore. Worth it. Left for good as soon as I could, too. I didn’t want their lies in my head, I knew I’d have to unlearn them, better to never learn them; and I stayed away from all of it until I could find a truth-teller. That took years. Lots of churches lie. Any with crazy rules and rituals are liars. Any with a superiority complex are liars.
    But things like this song still shaped my life, even when everyone was lying about me, I never bothered to defend it. Jesus stayed silent at the end, and let people choose their own fate; to believe the lies about him, or not. That example stuck with me, too. I found it useful to weed out the betrayers and gossips (which are abundant in this world) from true people of character (people more likely to find the narrow gate).
    If people gossip and lie about you, and they don’t come ask you yourself about something, nor do they defend you, (and they should only ask you if it affects them, otherwise it never was their business), just let them. It always, always says more about them and anyone who believes a lie about you than it ever says about you yourself. You’ll find out quickly just what kind of peole you have around you, and you’ll end up with a few priceless people in your life, and far less than that of people who don’t belong, who would have made your life miserable. Shake off the dust and move on. Even an atheist would have a better life if he or she followed Jesus’ teachings and examples. I never could understand why some people actually say they hate him. Back then or even now, he never did anything to warrant having any haters. You have to be downright evil to hate on Jesus...I love this band for giving us this song.

    Wonderful tribute! This song never got the praise it so richly deserves although it was quite popular on the radio, at least here in Canada in the 70s. This song was written by our very own Canadian, Gene Maclellan from Quebec. Anne Murray, another iconic Canadian singer (Snow Bird) sang it first and then Ocean, a Canadian band. This is a very inspiring song and your choice of video to accompany it was spot on. Blessings.

      I love the compilation of images in this vid. I watch both, because this one has a great little intro, and is perfect for showing the life of Jesus....and how ridiculous it was that anyone could somehow find a way to hate him...they just hate being accountable for their own actions, and they hate that he was an equalizer of people, and that he said those who follow after him would do what he did and even greater things would they do (John 14:12), and they hate how he taught others they could talk to God directly, and that soon, once he had been crucified and brought back to life, they wouldn’t be having to wait for a priest to tell them what God had to say anymore, that he would (and did) establish direct lines of communication for each individual, and create the New Testament, the new agreement, the new covenant, between God and his people, and that being called “his people” didn’t have anything to do with genetics, but was now defined as anyone who wanted to be in God’s family, which angered the ones who genetically descended from Abraham, but felt they could lie and cheat people and still be blessed because of Abraham, their forefather.
      That erroneous belief still prevails, but ought to be obvious that Jesus was right, because their own Scriptures tell them that if they do what God said, they’d be blessed and God would smite their enemies, and no one would be able to take away their lands, and that they would prosper abundantly. They haven’t exactly done that ever since....
      Jesus also called them “the children of your father, the devil, the father of lies”.
      Today, if people point that out, they get treated the same way he did. It is still very unpopular to tell them that just being descended from Abraham is not enough, and that they must be accountable for their own actions, they can’t just lie and cheat and kill those whom they think are beneath them, whom they think are “less than”, “equal to cattle”, and still claim to be God’s children.
      Jesus also had another title he gave them, but since it is so inflammatory to repeat, I will let people look it up in their own Bibles. It’s in the four Gospels, which is where much of the information about Jesus and his expectations for you is. It outlines a great deal of your spiritual rights and responsibilities, and the authority given to you by Jesus Christ, which explains why some organizations have discouraged their people from reading them.
      Jesus was a truth-teller, and they hate truth. That’s why they hate Jesus, because they hate the truth that he tells. They want to cling to the coattails of Abraham, and still do whatever they want to do. But it has been so many centuries, that statistically, almost everyone is likely to have some sort of genetic link to Abraham anyway (plus we are all related to Noah, so we are all related to each other...period). And still, that isn’t what gives one the right to be called God’s children.
      Their descendants are the same to this day as they were back then. If you stand in the streets of Jerusalem and shout that Jesus Christ is the Messiah!, people will come along and spit at you (at least they did up to last year, I haven’t looked for any videos in the last year), and threaten to sic the Sanhedrin on you (basically the religious mafia, similar to the Jesuits, religious assassins and harassers posing as the good guys, as men of power, and as men of God, but are what Jesus called them...he gave them a much more honest title), and they’ll tell you that you can still be stoned to death for saying such a thing and threaten to get that started, parents will cover the ears of their curious and smiling children who draw near to hear, and drag them away by their heads so they won’t hear another word of it, and the police will come to tell you that you “can’t say that”.
      They won’t repeat it because they won’t even say it as a quote. And they’ll even call for backup. Yes, because you’re so very dangerous to recognize the true Messiah and say so!
      Why is that dangerous? Because if you do what he said, you will be freed. And you’ll tell others how to be free of the Babylonian system. And how to defeat the powers of darkness. And for darkness, your light is dangerous indeed!
      That’s how bad they still hate Jesus to this day, and we know this not just by of the horrible things they teach and say about him, and about his mother, too, disgusting and unrepeatable things, and if you haven’t heard it, don’t look it up, you don’t want it in your head; we also know it is so because a few brave Christians have taken video footage of what happens if you stand in Jerusalem and publicly declare that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, as I’ve just described. It shows how that mob mentality quickly overtakes people who prefer the darkness.
      I watch this also because it gives a good visual of his extended hand for anyone who is finally ready to be pulled up and out of the muck that their life really is; and I watch the other one to see the band perform, see the faces of the ones who brought us this song, and brought it to life when they sang it, and to remember how it was when it first came out.
      Jan herself, the female singer of it, has responded to that one, to clear up some misinformation and to say that she was glad to find a good live version of the song for herself to have. She would already have the studio version, but back then, getting a good copy of a live version might have been less available, even to the band itself. Both versions have something great to offer. So, I always watch both a few times.

    THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION
    Many Modern Christian sects erroneously teach salvation is by something a sinner DOES. They make a person's salvation dependent upon the works of the sinner. But nothing could be further from the truth of God's word. According to the Bible, salvation is by taking what Jesus DID on the cross of Calvary, when he shed his blood to pay for the sins of man. This FINISHED WORK, once and for all, is the only thing that can give man the new birth, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life.
    The Bible clearly presents the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4:
    1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    Notice the Gospel is what JESUS DID FOR MAN, and not what MAN CAN DO FOR GOD!
    A person is only saved by BELIEVING upon the finished work of Jesus Christ, when he shed his Precious Blood for our sins. This blood atonement was necessary, for without shedding of blood, is no remission (Heb. 9:22). God has always demanded blood for sin. In the Old Testament, God accepted the blood of a lamb. In the New Testament, God accepts the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the LAMB OF GOD, slain for your sins.
    The Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 has five parts:
    1 Christ died
    2. For our sins
    3. Was buried
    4. Rose Again
    5. According to the Scriptures
    An old preacher once said, "YOU CANNOT PREACH THE GOSPEL WITHOUT PREACHING THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF CHRIST AND YOU CANNOT PREACH THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF CHRIST WITHOUT PREACHING THE GOSPEL!"
    This is absolute Bible truth! For salvation by Jesus Christ's bloody sacrifice on the cross is the only means in which God offers eternal life.
    Just as we see the blood of Christ in the five wounds He bear on the cross, so we too see the blood of Jesus in the the five points of the Gospel.
    Christ died. Jesus shed every drop of his precious blood on the cross of Calvary, dying in man's place for man's sins. His blood dropped into the ground.
    For our sins. The Bible likens sin unto blood in Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Scarlet and crimson are the color of BLOOD.
    Was buried. Jesus Christ was buried in the same ground in which his blood was spilt. When Abel, died, we read the following words in Gen. 4:10, "...the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." Shed blood speaks to God! Hebrews 12:24 then tell us the following about the blood of Jesus: "And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." Christ's blood speaks as well!
    Rose Again. When Jesus rose again, the Bible tells us Jesus Christ took his blood to heaven, and sprinkled it on the mercy seat there (Heb. 9:12-25), where it's still waiting to wash away the sins of the most vilest sinner! Are you washed in the blood?
    According to the Scriptures. The whole Old Testament points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah. He's pictured time and again in all the sacrifices the Jews slaughtered in the temple for the atonement of their sins. When Jesus died on the cross and the sacrificial Lamb of God, shedding his blood, he fulfilled prophecy written of him all throughout the Old Testament.
    So there you have it! The BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST is found all throughout the Gospel. You can't preach the blood, without preaching the Gospel, and you can't preach the Gospel without preaching the Blood. For the Bible clearly teaches salvation is by FAITH, without WORKS (Eph. 2:8,). Faith in what? FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!
    Romans 3:25-28 make this clear:
    25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
    26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
    27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
    28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
    To be justified, or saved, a person's faith must be wholly in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This declares God the Just one. When a sinner is saved, he cannot boast about himself or his works. He'll only brag upon Jesus who saved him from his sins!
    Sadly, in our modern age of apostasy, very few who claim to be Christians ever preach the blood of Jesus for salvation. But the simple Bible truth is, YOU CANNOT EVEN BE A CHRISTIAN UNLESS YOU ARE TRUSTING ONLY IN THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

    These hollywood jesus', jeez. The real deal wasn't a anglo saxon 6 foot white man. Jesus, was olive to brown skinned, black haired, about 5'7" on his best days, but more like 5'4", 5'5". And he probably didn't look like he had been to the gym this morning & got all buffed up. More likely he had a pot belly. He was an every day looking man doing extraordinary works, like a few other rabbi wandering around the middle east. He was doing a precarious balancing act socially & politically. I believe that true prayer can change the brain to do marvelous "miracles". If you can accept, you have a chance of revelation.

    It amazes me that there are a few religions, one in particular (that many call a blood cult and not a religion) that says Jesus was a prophet...but not the son of God.And,in their lacking of reasoning,if Jesus wasnt God on earth,HOW did he heal all those people with a touch, and raise the dead. I see no other religions supposed prophets histories claim any miracles.
    Denying Christ is a dangerous thing to do. As for the blood cult...ALL WILL BE SETTLED.
