KRS is the man. I don't know why but I could listen to him talk about something all day. He can really capture a crowd.

My friend, you are so correct. It's artists like Kris that kept the standard high for MCing. He was the guy that nobody dared cross out of respect. The Teacha could shine a penetrating light on Hip Hop in any place, at any time, putting perpetrators on blast. Much respect for such an accurate observation. Peace.

I understand that sentiment(especially if the movie were to come out of one of the major corporate studios).
The point is that Kris is a living legend whose stature and life story is extremely underappreciated, even by many who claim to love hardcore hip hop and its history.

I can Identify with everything Krs-One is saying. I was there and was a part of the Hip Hop Nation since 1979. Much props, much love, much respect for all true Hip Hoppers. Peace 2 Afrikaa Bambaataa and the Zulu Nation.

KRS is possibly the person (living) I respect most,,, but in this talk he said one thing that is blatantly untrue,,
'I cannot inspire... catholics, atheists... etc."
Well there is no limits on who he can inspire, I dont share his beliefs but I do respect him for his beliefsm and that is inspiring.
    Peace!

The truth period! I saw him on my birthday @ the Fox in Detroit May 3, 2008! The best birthday I had since I was a kid! Made me feel young again man! Him & MC Lyte rocking the mic, my two favorites of all time! He rocked his freestyle till they had to make him stop! He was rapping in front of folks camera phones & everything. People getting close to the stage as he freestyled talking to them directly! That let me know it was real! I miss the realness in the music, thank you KRS ONE! God bless!

It's amazing how a movie bio of Biggie has been made yet not one for this cat.
Kris' personal biography might be the single most compelling story of any emcee in rap history.
When you know it it becomes apparent who the games greatest emcee is(as well as one of the most underrated/innovative producers).

Skeptical of his philosophy, but these techniques are well established facts. What you project yourself to be mentally is what defines you. Focus and discipline refines that system, good ethics purifies it and hard work sustains it.

I really hope, some day, some billionaire, will give millions of dollars to KRS, so he could start using his ideas, and change things in ghettos, spread the word about real Hip hop culture, it could be huge for young generations, if only guys like him would have tools to reach almost anyone. Politics never understood that guys like him could do so many good things, and turn things around, but i'm afraid it might be too late, or it will simply never happen...
