+Brian Phillips -New that's a laugh Gerhard Richter is the master of this technique using oil paint and squeegee, that's why his paintings sell for 1/2 a million and up and are represented in all the major museums on the planet. Good luck and have fun anyway maybe you will find your own style one day.
Good afternoon! Can you tell me what kind of ruler you use to make your abstract works? Is there a place where you can buy it ready, or do we have to make one? Thank you very much in advance. Carlúcio Bicudo
Interesting I found this without looking for it. I tried using squeegies but I end up with what looks like fabric without any real focal point to the painting. It has texture, but I am looking for interest and a place for the eyes to rest on which is usually missing.
omg ive heard of richter! omg im so educated! omg you need to absolutely stop what you do because there is literally any semblance to an artist!! fuck the haters.
junetee52- I really hope you know art history... It's in the concept and the way it's used that's similar to Gerhard Richter. Sure no one owns a technique besides originality from which ideas come from that are absolute. These paintings lack originality that's all. As artist many questions are faced such as who is the artist audience? What is the artist saying through his/her work? Anything new and exciting or different or rehashing what has already been done? Maybe a new technique that has never been seen or done before. In another form of art such as music say a band looks and plays like Nirvana same style, technique etc. they will lack originality and be a cover band, copying the original for some it's not important and that's cool just have fun. For artist what is important is to know your place, and your arts place in the world.
He seems to have his own style about it. We have to use work from the past to not only pay homage, but to keep it alive and evolve it. And ultimately if it feels good and resonates with people, it's doing its job. :)
Agreed! WAAAAY cheaper. This piece would be marked for “Clearance” next to a Richter. Not impressed. My favorite is how Gerhard can’t even get a shout out in the description.
Sorry bud, but the squeegee technique has been overdone and is derivative as hell...everyone has done it, it is predictable and not pushing the art world any further...
“Found it difficult the process of making artwork once I saw this amazing art. Amazing, interesting and joyful. 🙏
Love you style and works, THANK YOU!!!!!
Love Love Love the colors..
Cool, good soundtrack
Beautiful!
Keep at it Mr. Henderson and don't let the bastards grind you down.
Love the work. Just starting with Oil and going to try these 👍
Great, like the new techniques!

Super „Arbeit:, könnte stundenlang zusehen. Dein Rakel ist aber auch was besonderes ! Sonst kann man die Fläche nicht bewältigen. 👍👍👍
Beautiful!! its similar to Richter's technique... still beautiful.
Very Nice..

Awesome
Great artwork again Nicky!!! How do you get that hardness on the canvas as if it is a plywood board? Regards from Brazil, Patricia
+Patricia de Mendonça Nascimento, use a hardwood board or plywood, or glass, or plexiglass, or any other hard material, than canvas.

Hey man, good stuff, who`s the song by, Jesus mary chain????
Did you make the ridged squeegee yourself? Love the effect it gives
Good again Nicky, What is the Song Title & Artist? ThanQue...
yeah I'm aware of that, my comment is to Nicky regarding his ridged squeegee
Perfeito artista 🎨.

omg ive heard of richter! omg im so educated! omg you need to absolutely stop what you do because there is literally any semblance to an artist!!

Класс
so easy to squeeze painting
İğrendim resmen
I think it needs to be more worked over
Nick Henderson is not Gerhard Richter~
uff
Рихтер влияние
Can anyone tell me the song that's playing in this video ?
Do you get your ideas for these paintings from the master Gerhard Richter?
no one owns the scraper technique, just like no one owns the paint brush technique!

You do not need to know your place in the world, you just develop yourself and enjoy life in it!
He learned it from the best bullshitter, Gerhard Richter. His squeegee is bigger, though. Bigger squeegee for bigger painting of crap.
hey you do know all the famous masters painted reproductions of other people's paintings in developing their own style, right?
My compliments, to Gerhard Richter.
isnt this just reproducing a ricter??

"bad artists copy, good artist steal" Pablo Picasso
emporers new clothes
You started destroying the paintings from about 2:49
Thats what I though
Derivative
ive seen art that uses techniques that other artists use and his name is is rembrandt
To muddy... but keep at it!
sorry but cheaper version of gerhard richter!
Agreed! WAAAAY cheaper. This piece would be marked for “Clearance” next to a Richter. Not impressed. My favorite is how Gerhard can’t even get a shout out in the description.
Good mechanical technique, but where's the art?
so derivative
i think i can do it better lol berry nice berry nice
The Richter you NOT
Good catch and observation....you could get the two confused given they are about the same age and have names that are nearly identical.
Sorry bud, but the squeegee technique has been overdone and is derivative as hell...everyone has done it, it is predictable and not pushing the art world any further...
Horrible soundtrack...
