My hubby Eric had a double lung transplant at Stanford a little over a year ago due to IPF. In the Lord’s time he received new lungs but is was a close call. This year he has had numerous medical issues and due to the immunosuppressant drug tacrolemius we were surprised he acquired hearing loss as well. We were shocked but thankful to have him here still with us. Love your perspective on your journey!
Oh I’m glad to see you prepping. Here in Galveston, Tx. Didn’t understand the amount of preparation we needed to do. 4 nights, no power, no water, no generator, no fire place. Just crochet blankets I had been making through the pandemic to donate after. It got to 35 degrees in our house. We were living at that temperature for 4 nights. Got power for 8 hours on the fifth night. It warmed up to 55 degrees before it shut off at 6 am that morning. We worried and prayed we were on the rolling plan and hoped power would be coming on that night. I was texting my friend with tears running down my face. Saying I don’t know if I can do another night and that I might go sleep in my car. Then a couple hours later at 6 pm the power came on and has been on ever since. My husband and I reflected back on our experience all day. Talking about how much we have been through together. From getting water from fire station and heating it up on the bbq burner outside to take hot sponge baths on the third night. To taking things out of the freezer to cook outside and wrapping in foil to eat later. It has been crazy. We are warm tonight. We have power and got leaks stopped and water well going now. Stay safe guys.
Good job Peter on keeping up your goal to not run out of gas!! Also good idea to be prepared, you just never know what may happen. We don't panic when we hear had weather is on the way, we used to live in Mi, now live in KY which like North Carolina doesn't have alot of winter storms...but the last 2 weeks have been rough. We live in the mountains and had our power knocked out by ice storm for over 16hrs. We don't have a generator nor could we get out to go somewhere warm...we just had to make do with what we had. We also had record low temps, which made it get very cold inside. We've learned our lesson, DON'T panic but DO use common sense....Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it!! Glad to hear you have Generator/gas along with groceries Hubby and I stayed up all night playin board games and such by lantern light and candles...had a FABULOUS time💕just cuz power was out and we were cold doesn't mean we couldn't have some fun. God Bless
We are in Texas. Glad you are prepping a bit. We have been without heat on and off since last Saturday. Ice/snow and frozen water supply. Don’t take chances. Glad you have generator!
@@benjaminfreyman4273 That's us. We had lot of snow and it had pretty well melted and then we were to get 4 -8" but it must went elsewhere. I want Spring.
When I had Bell’s palsy 2 years ago, I had lost little of hearing in my left ear due to taking a lot of medication but I can hear fine now. Thank you for the laugh.
One of my close friends who I've known since we were 4 or 5 has CF. (we are now 24) It is great because I learn how best I can help/assist her if we go out because of your videos. And you show and share the feelings she is probably hiding. I love watching you guys!
We were extremely lucky in west central Alabama because we were supposed to get a pretty significant ice storm but we got sleet, snow (which was unexpected) and just cold rain. I’m so thankful to not have lost power like those in TX for days on end because I have a spinal cord stimulator that I have to charge every other day. We have a generator and were prepared but still thankful nonetheless.
It's majorly cold here in Kansas. My hubby had a procedure done at the VA hospital two hours from us today. We used over half of the tank of gas and had planned to fill it on the way home. But, I have chemo on Monday, so hoping we have no where to go this weekend and can fill it then! I don't like to get low on our gas!
I live in Northwest Alabama and we've been snowed/iced in since Sunday. Won't be going anywhere until tomorrow afternoon probably. We got ice 1st and then about 5 inches of snow (which doesn't happen here...lol). The whole Northwest part of the state is completely shut down because we don't have ice trucks and snow plows here. It's been crazy but I've been loving it because it's so pretty. Sitting on the couch eating snow cream and watching y'all!
Don't underestimate ice. I don't know if you've ever been in an ice storm but they really cause a lot of problems. I think some of Texas may just now be getting power back. I'm not really sure. God Bless. I hope your storm isn't very bad. 😁👋💖
My dad is dealing with hearing loss (both his parents wore hearing aids) but he's in denial about it, refusing to get it checked: something I can hear from the opposite end of the house, he can't even hear when he holds it up to his ear, and refuses to believe that I can, just because he can't. We were trying to determine whether the filament was broken on a dead bulb, and while I could hear the broken filament loud and clear rattling around when shaking the bulb next to my ear, he couldn't hear a thing when he did it.
Its always good to laugh about stuff like the thermometer beeping! I am visually impaired and we often find things that other people don't know i can't see or that I don't realise other people can see. I think its funny that "normal" people can see rain as I can only see it when its really pouring down or if I look at the ground and I also didn't know that people can see the individual leaves on a tree! Ill often go to reach for something that is either alot closer of alot further away than i expect because i have no depth perception 😂 Im really good at drawing 3d objects and fabric on paper though because I only see in 2d - I naturally know how the colour and tonal variation works for how far "back" something is and so I'm putting a 2d-2d image together whereas people who see in 3d have to convert the image in their brain!
I have premature hearing loss. I can not hear thermometers.. none of them. I went for hearing test and confirmed I need hearing aids but my insurance doesn't cover them. I rely on reading lips. So this whole mask thing makes it impossible for me to know what someone says..I have to make sure my husband or one of my kids is always with me.
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. For me over here in Germany it's insane to think that you can't just get a hearing aid after the doctor confirmed you need one. Yes you have to pay 10 Euro for getting the prescription and yes if you want the newest highpower aid you have to pay part of it but you will get one you can pay for.

I'm waiting to fill up sunday when I go to the spring for water. Our weather was electric on then off then on then off etc. Like six or more times. Once our first ice storm hit Last Thursday morn at 5 am .
Here’s hoping You both are surviving those “bone chilling “ temperatures ( I’m just wondering what your Spring’s gonna be like when it arrives. Like Will there be flooding due to all the snow and ice) As for “hearing loss”. The Pharmaceutical companies that formulate all these “weird and wonderful “ medications need to tweak them so people’s hearing doesn’t get affected. But having said that. Getting constant ear infections can also contribute to hearing loss ( don’t know if You’ve ever suffered from them though) But good luck with that thermometer in the future........... ⚛️☮️ 🌡🌵 🌏

Hi frey family, I need your help... Today I got prescribed with 150 mg of quetiapine, for depression, and I'm scared to take it... Anyone ever taken that drug?
You should expect a little nausea, maybe some light dizzyness when showering (or at least I had due to blood pressure dropping when temperatures changed around me). But both will fade out over 2 months and the medication did work for my depression. Plz trust your body always

Here’s hoping You both are surviving those “bone chilling “ temperatures ( I’m just wondering what your Spring’s gonna be like when it arrives. Like Will there be flooding due to all the snow and ice)
As for “hearing loss”. ⚛️☮️ 🌡🌵 🌏
I can’t hear them beep usually either. Though I’m practically deaf.
We were relaxing hanging out together.
I can't hear thermometer beeps either
Hi Mary and peter 🤔😨😨
I hope you don’t lose power. And turn your faucets to a slow drip So you don’t have any broken pipes.
I can't hear my thermometer beep. I have to get my daughter to be around to know it's beeping.
What type of water do you drink?
When I first had hearing loss, I wondered why everyone was mumbling!
Me too! I kept saying, “Why is everyone whispering?”
M I have the same thermometer, sometimes it is hard to hear the beep Lol 😻👍🏼
Please Mary wear a pair of latex gloves before touching the food or bag from Aldi... Covid is still an issue ....
Be safe you guys !
I also have hearing loss...
Love the picture of you all at the end of the video!!! Too cute. Mary....listen to your body!!! Hope you get your energy back soon. Stay warm!!! 🥰

What's the craziest thing that you have gotten from grocery delivery? I got 8 large bloom ing onion size onions once, ordered4 bananas and got4 lbs of bananas.
I ordered a pound of bananas and they brought me one banana! I have heard other tales about banana orders being the wrong amounts.
I hope you don’t have loses of power and you have your phones and chargers charged
My hearing loss is mid ranges so most people speak at mid tones lmao 😂 I’m having an awful time rn because of the masks and I can’t lip read lol
Dude you get my letter?
I wonder if that shot you are taking for the migraines is making you feel worse in other ways?
When you say mucus, don’t you mean sputum?
Mary I've known you long enough that I can tell when your sinuses are giving you problems please take care
I really enjoy watching your vlogs and your family
