Ooh, this made me sooo hungry. I love that you can get different flavours to add to the fries. They have started adding some kind of seasoning to kfc fries here in the uk, I think it is sage and onion, but you don’t get to add it yourself, it just comes that way.

Glad they brought them back, so you could give them a whirl now. I liked both, but I'm not sure which was #1 for me. They are very different from one another.

I can testify the shaka shaka fry seasoning is good...I believe you sent me a mushroom flavored one that was delicious. Sure wish McDs USA would do something similar :( It's funny I like nori but not sure Id like sour plum flavor....still willing to try tho lol. The burger looks alright....you can never have too much cheese on a burger lol. Great vid as always, now on my way to check out the unboxing vid :)

Looks like McDonald’s is having a Japan anime advertising going on, changing their logo for the month of march, an inverted m (or w) along with some Japanese writing. To celebrate the campaign, they released a savoury chili dipping sauce. I would have preferred they released a fry shaking, as the last time I seen them here was in the ‘80s.
I wish they would have those seasonings in the states My son don’t like McDonald’s french fries Only kid that I know that don’t like McDonald’s french fries So maybe with the seasoning he would try them and like them 🤷🏻♂️
The McDouble has a BOGO deal (along with McChickens, 4pc McNuggets and McMuffins) where you get a 2nd for $1, so 2 McDoubles are a much better deal than 2 Double Cheeseburgers.
Wow, I'd say that's a fair price. I think it said like $5.25 for a set with drink and fries. Where I'm at, a large fry by itself is $3.99 or maybe more. I went to Taco Bell last night and was surprised that they raised the price of the normal soft taco by $0.30 to $2.09. I usually add chopped onion to those for free, and now they are charging $0.20 for that also. Sometimes I add extra meat also to the soft tacos and I'd guess that went up as well. Not sure by how much.
Yeah, the yen is really weak right now ---for example, our minimum wage is under $7 an hour. But yeah, it sucks when they bump things up little by little like that. My favourite 100yen sushi place is now mostly a 150yen sushi place... :(
I'll have to check my old videos but someone mentioned this may be a flavour they've done before. If not, something similar. Did they have any out when you were here last?

Garlic Pepper Mayo would be nice to add to fries. I wonder why McDonalds doesn't do this worldwide as a cool promotion. Japanese can't be the only ones that want to Shaka Shaka.
Those shaka shaka flavors sound interesting especially the garlic pepper mayo, thanks to you I was able to taste the triple cheese which where quite interesting,by the way has only japan those shaka shaka fries? Because I haven't heard about them from anywhere else. Great video as always!
I think sometimes places like Hong Kong or maybe the Philippines get them too. Not sure about Korea. But yeah, usually it's mainly Japan doing it. They charge extra for them so you would think it to be a money maker anywhere...
As always, US McDonald's needs to sell seasonings for fries. The sour plum may not do well here, but surely the garlic pepper mayo would, so why not try and sell it here?
I am thinking that using Lowry's Season Salt or Hidden Valley Ranch dry seasoning would not translate well as Shaka Shaka seasoning. I need some of the real deal. You need to get Kai Kun a clapperboard so he can snap it before you start filming.
Some people have mentioned using popcorn seasoning. I did have a clapboard I got as a souvenir from Universal Studios Japan, but I have no idea what became of it... :(
Hella wish Canada had Shaka fries. I am celiac so most fast food is out for me but I can still eat fries With a bit of a nudge I could with a bit of guidance, make my own 😁
I must admit something. I don't like McDonald's fries. I like their Filet-o-fish and chicken nuggets, but I prefer crinkle fries. So if I get picked, the shaka shaka is getting shaken onto crinkle fries.
