My dedication on mastering shooter weapons is nonstop but swipers, brushes, and rollers is another story.. I cannot do these kind of challenges as jay does and that's why I watch him do these kind of videos to give me some confidence too on mastering Splatoon.
He made a promise, and despite it requiring way more than he first thought, he still went through with it and delivered for all us. And was still absolutely hilarious through all of it. This man is an absolute legend.

I wasn't even considering to branch out to Splatlings until I saw your videos. You're an amazing content creator and I wish you the best

I will make a few things straight for Jaymoji for future reference Opening Gambit is the first 30 seconds, however if you get a kill or assist while the effect is active, it gets extended by 15 seconds, and since your main drive is purely kills, as long as you’re not to reckless in the start of the match, you can get a pretty large speed boost for almost the entire game However, run speed is said to be disregarded with Wiper since Wiper has the best strafe speed of any weapon. Usually people use Ninja Squid since Wiper is a light weight front line and Quick Respawn incase they mess up more than they intend to You can roll the torpedo on the ground to make the 60 damage more reliable however it comes at the expense of it being a meat shield, but either way combos well with the main weapon and the hammer Just a few things if you ever consider Wiper or anything else relevant to this comment
the fact that jay, someone who says he dislikes the wiper, ends up becoming better than me, a wiper main (though a very bad one, at that), at the end of this, is kind of insane to me. congrats on beating the challenge though! this reminds me of when i beat inner agent 3 4 times on splatoon's 8th anniversary. i was going for a 5th because i wanted to beat it 8 times in total for 8 years of splatoon, but i was going insane by the end and couldn't.

As someone who mains wiper a common mistake that new players (and me occasionally) do is they try to only get the one hit kill. Or they will spam vertical attacks and while that is good for poking it’s not the best. The best way to use the vertical is to combo it with either a torpedo which will create a one hit kill at a distance or follow it up with two quick horizontal attacks for a 3 shot at close range. The Biggest thing for new wiper players is don’t get charge kill happy and remember that you have more range than most short ranged shooters like TTek or splash so play for your range. Hope this helps new players
