How do Zotero and Mendeley improves upon MS Word reference management and insert citation feature? My issue with MS Word reference manager is all citations stored are seemingly cataloged and maintained as a history of citations and are not specific to an paper I wrote. By the time I completed my Masters's Degree, my MS Word Reference Manager held over 300 reference items, including websites, books, journals, et al. I could not distinguish which reference was used for which Paper. Does Zotero and or Mendeley improve upon that situation?
But what to do when the imported PDF for exampe includes wrong info, so when I'm using it in MS-Word, it puts the Author/Year incorrectly. Do I have to change that manually for each one of them?! :/

Do I have to edit it every time? I've just changed from Endnote and do prefer endnote for ease on things like this.

If I'm trying to change the citation style but I'm not using it in a word document, like in one of my classes I'm citing in AMA format for an assignment in canvas that does not require a document upload. Right now I've been adding it to a blank word document and then copying it, then moving to my browser to paste it. This seems so inefficient for just one or two danged references.

This mendeley version is sooo much worse than the older one. I deleted this new install and rolled back to the older.

So basically, you cannot drop your thesis in here and edit and THEN add the references/bibliography. So it is better to go with Perrla. Thanks

You didn't bother to cover how to import bibtex files. That functionality simply doesn't work.
