When dealing with unbonded screed, it may be the case that a sub base through which to pass pipe conduits (electricity and/or water) is used. Can this sub-base be composed of compacted or tamped gravel with sand?
Hi hope you are well, if you only had a small area around 1m x 1.5m and didnt have access to a mechanical mixer, how would you go about mixing the screed please thanks?
Hi E K. It's not about the good or bad. the damp proof membrane prevent the moisture to go through the screed or concrete. So if you need to use DPM then the screed needs to be thicker as the dpm separates concrete & screed.

As a novice to building your video was well laid out. Although I will be using anhydrite to screed my underfloor heating pipes.

Should fine since gravel is self compacting
Is there a quicker way to cure as 6 to 8 weeks long time

In a wheel barrow or dump it all on a big tarp / plastic sheet and mix and flip with a shovel
