A lot of the heads have a leaning forward design, as a result you have them impact right into the armor. You could lift them with green stuff, but it would have a bit of a giraffe neck effect. The neophyte hybrid heads definitely worked the best, with worst being the aberrant since they have a collar around them.
They are a little, just without the crazy mutations due to the time constraints and marine physiology having resistant to it. But if even orks aren't immune to transformation, it must be some potent stuff. Edit: Belisarius Cawl The Great Works is the book. Great read....or listen 😄
Ye it's mentioned in The Emperor's Finest (Ciaphas Cain Book). They thought they were feral orks on the space hulk but turned out to be genestealer ork hybrids. The giveaway was the 4 arms, and them fighting in silence rather than normal yelling. @@Usinghealer099
It's a nice read. I also heard someone mention that 7th edition genestealer codex has mention of Ork and other race hybrids, but I don't personally have it to confirm that. @@Usinghealer099
Great question. I think it would really depend on the geneseed, someone like blood angels have a gene known for overpowering even the most abhuman recruits.
Cheers! GSC really are fantastic. I actually still had enough parts at the end to make the entire acolyte hybrid unit 😁. That kit has a lot of extra stuff, since it makes the other unit option(can't think of the name).
I will definitely give it a go. If it worked out it's definitely a cool video idea. I'm also trying out a few other factions to see what can work well.
I have a few spacemarine models but have always been stuck with a sense of how silly the proportions of the armour are. I've worn late period medieval plate that was a close match for me in sizing and moving in articulated rigid armour is awkward to say the least. Add pauldrons that wouldn't fit on a buick and cricket pad lower legs and it's just absurd. Now I know what I can do with them and the ridiculous shaping is just to accommodate alien physiology
Let's say, the gene stealer cult infiltrated a monastery through its chapter serfs and gradually subverted the entire organisation until the entire population of the planet was controlled by the cult, and the chapter exclusively recruited from that planet and natural versatility of tyranid genetics let it change to become compatible with space marine augmentations. The inquisition hasn't gotten round to purging this subverted chapter yet.
@seekingabsolution1907 Ye that's very similar to what happened to the scythes of emperor. From another GSC book, sometimes they mutate and evolve without further generations when there is one of those GSC "doctors" who actively helps those genes come out.
Nothing new here. A gamer from my old gaming club started building an army of Tyranid/Marine hybrids back in 4th ed 40k (roughly around 2006-2007). He hasn't stopped since.
Kinda reminds me of Infested Terrans from StarCraft. Oh, but one linguistic gripe: 'pauldron' implies 'shoulder' already (as a pauldron is a shoulderplate), so saying 'shoulder pauldron' is a tautology, and therefore a big no-no.
Absolutely see what you mean. Using a few Nurgle marine parts could make for a pretty accurate kitbash of those infested terrans. Funny enough, someone else also mentioned my 'Foot Shoe' situation. 😄
Not heretical enough... Old school rogue trader allowed for this very thing via the Hive Mind influence! Funny enough the game mechanic was that without synapse these units could return their conscience and fight for the opposing army.
When I was kitbashing them a similar thought crossed my mind. Maybe some special strain of contamination got to them. Resulting in space wolves being sent in to handle the situation.
Officially I don't think Tyranids were written in pre 40k. As the Pharos overloading in the Battle of Sotha was supposedly what send them towards our galaxy, I believe it was the Pharos HH book. It would be interesting to hear where they are basing the horus theory on. @@zygoatindustries

I think you're absolutely spot on. I did look up what it is, and it matches perfectly 👍
Now I really want stealer marines to be canon.
They are a little, just without the crazy mutations due to the time constraints and marine physiology having resistant to it. But if even orks aren't immune to transformation, it must be some potent stuff.
Edit: Belisarius Cawl The Great Works is the book. Great read....or listen 😄
@@AnotherDayMiniatureswait, even orks are susceptible to genestealers? Could I mayhaps get a source?
Ye it's mentioned in The Emperor's Finest (Ciaphas Cain Book). They thought they were feral orks on the space hulk but turned out to be genestealer ork hybrids. The giveaway was the 4 arms, and them fighting in silence rather than normal yelling. @@Usinghealer099
@@AnotherDayMiniatures ah, that's awesome! Haven't really read that book yet
It's a nice read. I also heard someone mention that 7th edition genestealer codex has mention of Ork and other race hybrids, but I don't personally have it to confirm that. @@Usinghealer099
What happens if a first gen GSC gets introduced into the astartes?
Great question. I think it would really depend on the geneseed, someone like blood angels have a gene known for overpowering even the most abhuman recruits.
I'm calling the Inquisition
:O
These look absolutely brilliant, but i can't bring myself to desecrate any GS sprues. Their to cool as is!
Cheers! GSC really are fantastic. I actually still had enough parts at the end to make the entire acolyte hybrid unit 😁. That kit has a lot of extra stuff, since it makes the other unit option(can't think of the name).
The four-armed-emperor protects i giess? 😂
4 arms emperor > 2 arms emperor 😁 It's honestly just math at that point.
Prettt idea💯
Thank you 😊🤘
Can you make ork genestealer hybrids
I will definitely give it a go. If it worked out it's definitely a cool video idea. I'm also trying out a few other factions to see what can work well.
I think there's something like that in lore
I have a few spacemarine models but have always been stuck with a sense of how silly the proportions of the armour are. I've worn late period medieval plate that was a close match for me in sizing and moving in articulated rigid armour is awkward to say the least. Add pauldrons that wouldn't fit on a buick and cricket pad lower legs and it's just absurd.
Now I know what I can do with them and the ridiculous shaping is just to accommodate alien physiology
Genestealer Space Marines make no sense, lore wise. But they sure make for a cool build!
Job well done!
Cheers mate!
Maybe i need to get my gene stealer custodians finished
Hell yeah! those sound awesome.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures I'm still stuck on the heads and the greenstuff lol
Yeah as you might have noticed I avoid greenstuff in most of my stuff 😄It's an incredibly difficult skill to master, props for having a go at it!
@@AnotherDayMiniatures it's just gsc icons I'm green stuffing lol
Still Green stuff 😄
11:46 sounds almost like a romantic comedy plot
😄
YES INQUISITOR. THIS VIDEO HERE
😯
Nothing new here. A gamer from my old gaming club started building an army of Tyranid/Marine hybrids back in 4th ed 40k (roughly around 2006-2007). He hasn't stopped since.
✍️
I didn't catch all the names of the paints of the greens can anyone tell me the colors he used
Kinda reminds me of Infested Terrans from StarCraft.
That's really cool, never knew about that. I'll have to look into some old rogue trader lore to see if there's anything else neat there.
Gene seed stealers
🤘
Awesome bud but your most deft in some inquisitors black book….
Thanks! I guess it's the life of heresy now 😄
My personal headcannon is that the 11th legion got infected by genestealers
When I was kitbashing them a similar thought crossed my mind. Maybe some special strain of contamination got to them. Resulting in space wolves being sent in to handle the situation.
40k theories recently did a video about horus potentially fighting some genestealer cults
Perhaps some details of that conflict have been expunged?
Officially I don't think Tyranids were written in pre 40k. As the Pharos overloading in the Battle of Sotha was supposedly what send them towards our galaxy, I believe it was the Pharos HH book. It would be interesting to hear where they are basing the horus theory on. @@zygoatindustries

😄 Cheers mate. I try to stick to established lore, but I don't let myself be bound by it.
HERESY! STOP! I CALL THE INQUSITION!
They will never catch me! 😁

@@AnotherDayMiniatures thanks you
my brother in Crist this is heresy.
Yes :)
Well... uh... I guess my idea is out the window. lol
😅
Brillian perfect job❤
Thank you 😀
The parts fit but I just don't see it working outside a weird fan fic.
👾
I tried this with nids and guard kit Bash but then that’s when gsc came so that dampened it
That sounds awesome! I want to use one of the reaper swarms with a guard to make a sort of an alien chest burster.
Christ bless you, this looks amazing but it is still HERESY!!!!
Cheers! :D
Infected terrans
They really are very similar :D
i actually made 15 of these a few weeks ago, timing0:
That's awesome! Also 15?! Damn making 5 was a challenge, great stuff with 15 mate. 😀
