Personally I would go for magnets instead of ticky tack, but it gave you a nice result.

@@theselectguy yeah basically what you want are neodymium (the strongest boys) magnet balls for the neck and cylinder one for the head, it works too with another ball in the head but I feel is a bit more stable with a flat cylinder. And that's about it you just glue them in, making sure the side in the head is attracted to the neck and it works like a charm. I don't use it on everything but for this project of yours it should be ideal.
