This is proven when one of his bounties begged for his life and offered to pay twice his worth of he brings him in alive, even mentioning that he is worth a lot more alive. Jango had a reputation but in a different way. He was seen as someone who treated his clients with respect and he himself was respected.
@@r0b3rt1c0 You miss my point. There is a terminological difference between bounty hunting, assassination, and contract killing. Reputation has nothing to do with it. Montross does not count as a bounty hunter unless he does at least 1 job in a manner that would be considered legal, and brings at least 1 person in alive. Bounty hunters need a license to operate, and that's a thing in Star Wars too. The Republic would not approve a license for a man like Montross, and if he always planned on killing everyone he went after anyway, what's the point of getting himself one? That said, having a reputation for being a feared contract killer is hardly any different to having reputation for being a respected bounty hunter. Similar work, different circles, same effect.
@@mitchellhayward6492 I understood what you meant. Yes you are correct that each implies a more particular speciality, however all are classified as a type of mercenary action. All of them are quite synonymous and yes each imply a particular outcome, where a bounty can be dead or alive, a contract killing is wanted dead, and any other assassin like job obviously implies death is desired. However they are all paid jobs that they are hired for. If someone says they want someone dead or alive, that doesn't imply they want them dead. Montross always brought them in dead. A lot of the star wars games where you could do bounties showed criminals offering more for the targets alive because they wanted to make a public example themselves. Of course, bounty hunting in general is the most legal of them all, assuming they follow the proper protocol and as you say bring them in alive.
How about remastered in the style of the forced unleashed cinematic animation and give a more detailed functions like say metal gear solid fighting style
@@biznor3 Simple? It was pretty challenging from my memory. the last chapter of Oovo IV is crazy, and everything from Tatooine on is really difficult as well. The combat was reptitve, but the platforming was really well done, the controls didn't get in the way and the jet pack mechanics are a unique and engaging addition to the traditional 3d platforming mechanics as well as combat. Outside of the oddly well animated and voice acted cut-scenes, the level design is where the game shines. From the crazy vertigo inducing verticality of Coruscant, the wide rift filled canyons of Malistare, the labyrinthine prison on Oovo IV, all the levels were unique and presented a different kind of challenge and provided some solid world building early in the prequel era's existence. That facet of the game NEVER felt repetitive. The bounty collection system could've definitely been more fleshed out, as in game it only really unlocks extra content. I always though you should be able to buy nicer weapons/more or better armor with the credits you get from the bounties. Wouldve made the later chapters much less of a pain... IMO, its the most "7/10" game in existence. Not the best SW game ever, but FAR from bad, and I admit it holds a nostalgic place for me as it was my first PS2 game. The game is old, and there is a lot that could be taken to make a very fun underworld based open world star wars bounty hunting game... I'm imagining something in the vein of GTA
Ah, Bounty Hunter. Behind KOTOR, KOTOR II, Republic Commando, the Jedi Knight games, the first two Battlefront games and Empire at War... it's my favorite Star Wars game :p
These cutscenes actually keep the feel of Star Wars too, a lot of games (and even the new movies) miss this feel and go for more standard-cinematic type executions rather than the Lucas-Styled atmosphere and scene structure.
You mean perfect aim plus homing plus splash damage plus a longer range then your lock on ability making them absolutely evil when they had a rocket launcher.
Eh, I'd rate it a 2nd highest difficulty, your Heroics, Hardeneds and all that, but games that use these difficulties today also use a checkpoint system, SW:BH however, does not. Bounty Hunter uses a continue and lives system, which means you can only retry a segment so many times before you need to retry the mission. And combined with glitchy deaths and blowing yourself up when trying to use the rocket launcher you have a hard game.
@@Neutronomy You can find it on Wookiepedia if you look up Komari Vosa. Presumably, Dooku takes them off Vosa's body when she dies and then gives them to Ventress in the Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) animated microseries

Reason I love this game is it really builds on the lore... When Jango speaks he talks as though he actually lives in the universe. Plus take for example the story of the ship he had before he got the Slave 1, I honestly don't think most people even knew that Slave 1 was not his original ship. An I like that device because it encourages people to look into the ships background as well as Mandalorian culture. So much of being a Star Wars fan for me has been reading the books, but it's always been a pain to have to explain what you've read without any visual aid to nonreaders who only seem to think the movies are what make up Star Wars as a franchise. That is/has been entirely the reason to me why we need more Star Wars games... That bridge between lore and something physical/visual that allows you to be a part of what you're watching. I also feel it important to note that this Game's plot alone was 5 times better than the force awakens
Yeah totally agree with you. I never played this game and I really have no idea how I even stumbled on this video or why I even decided to watch it. Man this takes me back. Ever since I laid my eyes on Jango Fett for the first time in Attack of the Clones, he immediately became my favorite character in Star Wars where he still remains to this day. Both of his duels with Obi-Wan are some of the best Star Wars content out there because they’re not your typical lightsaber duel nor your typical shootout. And it was a space battle that featured more weapons and tactics amongst 2 ships than the entire Battle of Endor displayed lol
Montross is voiced by Savage Opress. Neat. Though I like Dee Bradley Baker, I have to say Temuera Morrison really is the definite Jango Fett. He's a goddamn joy to listen to every time he opens his mouth. Gosh this game's acting and story were pretty darn great. Pity about the whole non-canon thing, since even in the newer material Jango's story here doesn't really interfere with anything.
43:20 Jesus! It's the space blobfish! Also, this game better still be canon because of A). How awesome it is B). How it fits well with the Disneyverse C). How it messes almost nothing up D). Raz was an awesome character
Though it is technically non-canon, there is nothing in Disney Canon that actually contradicts the game. So unless anything in the future directly contradicts this, there's nothing stopping you from slotting the game's events into your own head-canon. I mean, I actually rather like Disney Canon, and I still do this for some of the things I like from Legends.
First game system I ever got was the Nintendo Gamecube. First game I got with the Gamecube was this. Came out at a time when the Prequels were being released and I was really in to Star Wars. Loved Jango Fett and to give him his own game and backstory was a dream come true for me. Remains to this day one of the hardest games I've ever played. Levels like the Break Out, Deathstick Factory, and the entirety of the last section of the game (cause I was a kid and the Bando Gora freaked me out) kicked my ass. Took me years to beat it. You truly never do forget your first.
George Lucas did Boba Fett dirty in Return of the Jedi too. Dont know why Lucas made the two deadliest bounty hunters in the galaxy go out like chumps (Yes I know Boba didnt die)
I played this game almost everyday on my ps2 when I was younger, but I just noticed that this game did a perfect job on properly portraying the “lower class” and “criminal underworld” of the Star Wars universe. The upper class mission with the senator shows how even in Star Wars political corruption is all over the place. Also I loved how even loyal workers like Snooti in the prison gets so mistreated to the point that he helps out Jango, a bounty hunter who would likely destroy the place.
I had never played this game but judging by the cutscenes this story was really well made. The feeling was so....episode 2 feeling :D Sadly there is no games with good storys nowadays.
When Tyrannus quoted that Jango would have 'a chance at immortality and to pass on your ways to an army crafted in your image'- he wasn't kidding. In Legends canon, Jango's clones continued to be used and reproduced across the ENTIRE Empire from the end of the Clone Wars, onwards through Sidieous's reign. The 501st remained purely Jango Fett's clones, while multiple other units also still used his clones for their divisions as well as from other templates, and the Empire continued using his clones through the Yuuzham Vong War, to the Second Galactic Civil War, to even hundreds of years in the future when Cade Skywalker was fighting Stormtroopers under Darth Krayt and alongside them of the Imperial Remnant that joined forces with the New Republic. It's crazy how deep Count Dooku's words to Jango hit when you take all of the Star Wars old canon into account- and how monumental this moment is in Star Wars history.
im honestly surprised at how cinematic everything is. sure, the graphics haven't aged the best but the shots and angles during cutscenes look ten times better than the actual film
I remember this game. It was kind of short but super fun (if anything, due to the fact you are Jango Fett). I do remember the little mini bounties you could do while on certain missions. An open world SW bounty hunter game made for current systems would be epic.
My favorite detail in this is at 12:54 where right before the hologram cuts off you see the subtle face change... also right around when Vaz tells Jango she has a bad feeling about the bounty. It's great foreshadowing.
I could watch this 100x over Hands down the best story . Still left mysterious . I refuse to mouse ears my Jango Fett . Disney will never take this from us .
I remember actually watching the cutscenes to this game prior to watching Episode II. (I used cheats since I sucked at most games back then) and to me Jango was such an interesting character. And the idea of him being cloned sounded strange but interesting to me. So when I did watch Episode II, I felt sad when Jango died to Mace Windu, but then I got hyped as fuck when the clones themselves came in soon after. I became even more hyped when I realized these very same clones would go on to become the storm troopers, their armor being the basis for the armor worn by Imperial recruits long long after they passed away. Rest in Peace Jango, not very many people might know, but you've helped set the course for something absolutely amazing.
Star Wars Episode 1.5. They should make a series (preferably animated) set during this era. The era between ROTS/ANH and the post ROTJ era have been used far too much lately...
Boba Fett is a hero character in both of the first Battlefront games and in Empire at War, and has an entire story arc in the Clone Wars television show. He also stars in dozens of comics and ultimately made a more significant change to the galaxy than Jango ever would have. Jango was a warlord in a backwater powder keg who dropped that and his honor to become a bounty hunter, his only ever *good* accomplishment was becoming the cloning template of the Grand Army, which he trained with other mere mercenaries.
what i love about this games its WAY ahead of most of the ps2 games of its time the cut scenes are awesome, the characters expressive shame its was too short for my taste

Boba Fett: As you wish (empire strikes back)
Jango Fett: As you wish (bounty hunter)
A line both Fetts say so badass.
You'll be surprise that Boba redeemed himself in the latest Mandalorian episode in The Tragedy episode.

It sounds especially badass when Temuera Morrison’s not being forced to deliver that line through a 3 AM phone call.

one of the best star wars games ever made,
Not even close. The gameplay was simple and repetitive. There are scores of Star Wars games better than this one.
That’s just nostalgia talking
good plot not gameplat better watch dis now then play xD
Yes that's why it was a greatest hits on PS2
+GamerPete lol good list you got there
all the good star wars games listed
Right, imagine all those games remastered... so much potential.
I agree
+GamerPete I miss playing all those games. Those were the good old days.
These cutscenes actually keep the feel of Star Wars too, a lot of games (and even the new movies) miss this feel and go for more standard-cinematic type executions rather than the Lucas-Styled atmosphere and scene structure.
Indeed there's a very distinct way lucus directs his films. He likes to do a lot of large shots for the audience to be immersed in the environment.
I wish they could make a sequel to this game starring Boba Fett as the bounty hunter
Donald Trump since you're the president now would you mind forcing Disney to get someone to make it again? Thanks in advance ❤
Slutcheeks MAKE STAR WARS GREAT AGAIN
No. I'd rather have it be Jango again.
Jango's adventures before he gets killed by Windu, right?
koala1203 I want one where you see him train Boba with things happening along the way
This game was difficult af
iGameBig I played the whole game through when I was 8. but yeah it was and I loved it
iGameBig yep
You mean perfect aim plus homing plus splash damage plus a longer range then your lock on ability making them absolutely evil when they had a rocket launcher.
Really? It's normal in terms of difficulty.
This came out in 2002, and looks better than some 360 and ps3 games. The Cutscenes especially

Komari Vosa's lightsabers are passed down to Assajj Ventriss
How do you know?
@@Neutronomy You can find it on Wookiepedia if you look up Komari Vosa. Presumably, Dooku takes them off Vosa's body when she dies and then gives them to Ventress in the Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) animated microseries
That's actually pretty cool
I don't believe Komari is canon anymore. I'm not sure how Assajj got them now.
@@CarlosAnthonyDeLeon
Except Vosa's lightsabers have grips at the bottom and emitter guards at the top (like Anakin's).
Who knows? Maybe Dooku made modifications to them after he took them from her.
But wow was I impressed with the story and the characters. So well done. This could have easily replaced The Clone Wars, or Rebels for me, had this been a serialization.
What Palpatine said: *"I look forward to completing your training, my friend."*
What Palpatine meant: *"I look forward to making Vader decapitate you, my friend."*
That will happen 13 years later to him
they gotta remaster this fucking game .
they did its on ps4 now
Chris Cordon they didn't remaster it, it still has the PS2 graphics and stuff, it is just now purchasable and playable on the PS4
Oh well yeah, i dont know what kind of fantasy world people would live in imagining they would actually "remaster" this game. Its too simple and too short to be worthy of a remaster honestly if they developed new levels even in the style of the ps2 graphics id think that would be even cooler
Needs to be on ps3!!!
They are. Apparently it comes out next month on all current consoles and PC.

You do realize in attack of the clones he was pretty much boba fett except he talked more and it took this game and the rest of the expanded universe to characterize him same thing with boba fett the expanded universe characterized boba fett much more then the movies did

Gosh this game's acting and story were pretty darn great. Pity about the whole non-canon thing, since even in the newer material Jango's story here doesn't really interfere with anything.
Until anything is written that contradicts this game I will continue to see it as canon.

Clancy Brown voiced Savage Opress? That's a horrifying thought..
RandoGrunt Yeah. I think it ended as soon as Gardula the hutt died in this game, as she is seen alive and well in TCW.

Although, both Episode 2 and the Clone Wars mention events fro this game.
Agreed, however the clone wars DID show Darth bane, but that’s all we got, he is now cannon but his story isn’t. Take that as you will
Though it is technically non-canon, there is nothing in Disney Canon that actually contradicts the game. So unless anything in the future directly contradicts this, there's nothing stopping you from slotting the game's events into your own head-canon.
I mean, I actually rather like Disney Canon, and I still do this for some of the things I like from Legends.
If Disney had a problem with this game... they would have said something. I’m sure they would make this canon if it were cheap.
I'd love it if they remastered this game.
Tbh, Jango saying "back in a minute" is still a badass line to me. They really did him wrong in the Clone Wars
George Lucas did Boba Fett dirty in Return of the Jedi too. Dont know why Lucas made the two deadliest bounty hunters in the galaxy go out like chumps (Yes I know Boba didnt die)
At the time the cut scenes were absolutely incredible in terms of visuals. I remember being blown away by this
the most used line in star wars : " i got a bad feeling about this "
At least Roz was casual about it and didn't try to be all dramatic about it like everyone else.

Played this game over and over on the gamecube. Still remains one of my all time faves.
Me ps2 , but ye. Corosaunt was awesome
56:35 "Back in a minute" So Badass
I remember this game. It was kind of short but super fun (if anything, due to the fact you are Jango Fett).
I do remember the little mini bounties you could do while on certain missions. An open world SW bounty hunter game made for current systems would be epic.

My favorite detail in this is at 12:54 where right before the hologram cuts off you see the subtle face change... also right around when Vaz tells Jango she has a bad feeling about the bounty. It's great foreshadowing.
I could watch this 100x over
Hands down the best story .
Ross inspired Jango to find something to live for other than the money. He did. His son, Boba.
Star Wars Episode 1.5. They should make a series (preferably animated) set during this era. The era between ROTS/ANH and the post ROTJ era have been used far too much lately...
Boba fett is over rated, Jango fett was way better, I mean he got his own game, with his own story, that's way more than Boba's five lines.
TheFourohsix boba had more than five lines
MMOHunter54 lol he only had 4 lines hahahahahahahahahaha
