Okay but can we talk about how James ripped Grace to shreds when he found out about the bracelet!? When he told her to shut up that literally gave me life!
Why didn't James get on the train and be like, "you can't leave, Lucie is missing!" and then explain everything to Cordelia after? Cause like you know they both would have abandoned Paris to go find Lucie.

So Cassie literally spelled out the plot of the whole book at the beginning and I didn’t even see it until rereading 😂🤦🏼♀️

Does anyone know what’s going on with the scabbard?? Like no one knows where Elias has been and he comes back with it and Lilith as way land the smith says to keep cortina in it all the time. What’s the story there? Think the funniest part of the book was when Effie walks in and James is tied to the bed and he’s just like “erm it’s good for circulation” and Effies like “I want a pay rise”
RIGHT. for the longest time I thought Elias' scabbard was the reason why Cortana was stinging Cordelia's hands, but it seemed to be just... a heartfelt gift? a tad bit suspicious..
I’m thinking a lot about that scabbard! Like it doesn’t exists anymore with cortana because Emma doesn’t have it but what happened with it then? Maybe it has magic or something
@@valentinaosornio3781 yeah I think I remember “Michael way land” saying it had powerful runes on it or something. Which since it was Lilith can’t be a good thing!
I need the last book to be about as thicc as Queen of Air and Darkness. Because there is so much that needs to be answered and despite COI ripping my soul to pieces, I just don't want the story to end. I absolutely love all these characters. Except for Grace and Tatiana and all the demons.
I have a weird theory that maybe Lucie will kill Tatiana. In Chain of Gold when she was pretending to be a princess when Jesse finds her she was saying something along the lines of "killing her mother-in-law" and knowing Cassie, there's a reason why it was worded like that. also my girl wields an axe so ♡
Yes!! I've been waiting for this ever since Chain of Iron released and I just have one thing to say: With every new Cassie Clare book, I simply feel even more broken within. I literally cried when Jem played the violin at the Jordelia wedding. This video perfectly summarised every single thing I felt, and now begins the wait for Chain of Thorns. How are we to wait for 12 months??!
I think it's so funny when everyone was explaining to "Magnus" (aka Lilith) how they knew James wasn't the killer because they tied him to the bed and "Magnus" is just like "I don't need to know anymore about that" Lilith did a good job cause that was such a Magnus thing to say lmao
to talk about that question about how they make money.. I think I remember reading in one of the books somewhere that shadowhunters make money from like religious organizations paying them to fight demons & such ????
Yes, I think Alec explains it after he becomes Consul. That he now has to reach out to the different religious organizations and ask them to support him instead of the idiots in Idris..
It is also mentioned by Jem when he takes Tessa through where they store some of tbe wealth on the way to a meeting of the clave. It's also been mentioned in this series that shadow hunters get a salary from that tithe money. High ranking officals like the Consul, Inquisitor, and heads of institutes collect a higher wage than the regular shadow hunter.
This book was heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak. The only part when i laughed out loud was when Will runs after the demon after the ball. I truly hate and love Cassie in this moment. She knows how to make us feel death inside. And thanks God Magnus it's back . I just wonder how the shadowhunders survived so long without him.
maybe the real filomena was never in London and it's been lilith all along, idk but i thought this filomena girl was going to be an important character and then she just died
I feel like Cassie writes in random characters just to kill them to inflate kill numbers 😂. When fans ask “how many people die in the new book?” If she says 5, 4 of the 5 are non important characters.
I was honestly so scared to read Chain of Iron after finishing Chain of Gold last year... and y'all... I had every right to be scared... WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT LAST CHAPTER
this expressed my feelings SO well. I have this terrible feeling that Matthew is gonna die in Chain of Thorns, like I feel it in my gut and if it does happen I will literally be crying for days. like I can't explain why, but I'm just like convinced that it will happen
@@aubreyrusso8819 literally same, like matthew is one of my favorite characters and I just feel like he's gonna die, maybe its bc in none of cassies other books does the parabati die (except clockwork princess but I don't really count that). Literally all I want is for him to be happy :((
I really thought that Cassie was gonna pull another Lilith possession on another herondale boy since James almost died. Also the lack of communication in this book made me want to punch something. I love these kids but they don't ever talk I swear.
I was LAUGHING so hard because Cassandra Clare claims she’s over that phase but... is she, really? Or it was just her poking fun as her younger version’s haters or even herself? The moment Grace said “no” I felt a segment of the fandom was vindicated
It took me out of the book for a moment and I almost set it down. I was soooo worried Grace would say yes because you just never know with Cassie, but whatever. She shouldn't have added that scene in there but at least Grace wasn't ok with it.
I KNOW I was almost mad I didn’t just wait till next year - when both are out - to read it. Imagine the feeling of having it in your hand and just being able to continue on >.
this book was actual emotional torture. i can’t believe we have to wait ANOTHER YEAR FOR THE NEXT ONE AH! i feel like i’m the only one, but i don’t actually hate grace and i think she’s kind of interesting? i mean she has so many flaws and that fucking bracelet, but overall she has more of an interesting arc than most of the characters! honestly i think i just enjoy the background characters probably the best
I KNOW RIGHT? I don't hate Grace like at all, other than the bracelet (BUT she tried to take it off of him and Jesse was threatened, & since her entire goal is to save Jesse you can kind of understand why she put it back on) and how she used her power on Math. I think the person everyone should hate is Tatiana for abusing the girl the way she did but oh well
I dont "hate" grace. I pity-hate her, like azula, and i dont "hate" azula. She's interesting and i hope she redeems herself (I really hate some things she did though)
I also spent the entire book yelling about the bracelet. I felt like I was rushing through other characters chapters, just trying to get to the part where he took off the bracelet. It kept taking me out of the other stories because I was so enraged. Like you said, a piece of bamboo stuck under my fingernail, constantly bothering me
Hmmmm it’s interesting because in the beginning of coi Hypatia gives Cordelia this whole monologue abt the warlocks lord and savor Lilith and they have that whole party to honor her at the Ruelle soooooo I kind of feel like maybe Hypatia did know that Lilith was impersonating Magnus. Maybe? Idk it’s sus
The end of the book was just a car crash that I could see a mile out and couldn't do anything about ahhhhhhhansjdirogke so thanks for commiserating with me! :)
One thing I will say that is especially bothering me with this book is the fact that Matthew has feelings for Cordelia. Mainly because I love James and Cordelia so much as a couple, but also because I hate the way it's ruining James and Matthew as parabatai. Like on one hand it does parallel with Jem, Will, and Tessa, but on the other I feel like it isn't as well executed this time. Cause with Will and Jem like yeah neither of them knew the other had feelings for Tessa, however Will was actively hiding his, like it was a choice. Yet in this scenario not only do they not know the other's true feelings, Matthew is under the impression that James loves Grace because James is being manipulated by the bracelet. I'm also wondering how much of Matthew's love for Cordelia is genuine, like would he still feel that way if not for all the trauma. Because I think his biggest motivator right now is that he's pissed at James for choosing Grace, and feels a need to protect Cordelia. She is, after all, the only one who understands Matthew, having gone through all the issues with her dad and now knowing his secret. And I honestly just love Matthew and Cordelia as friends, I think it's sweet, like can we please just get a super cute male and female friendship? I'm not even sure there is one in all of shadowhunters.
Agree completely. I feel like having Mathew love Cordelia is mainly for drama. It doesn't feel genuine and it feels forced to me. It's like Cassie just had to have a love triangle instead of them being best friends. I would love to see a purely platonic relationship. Not every book has to have multiple love interests. Plus Cassie already did it with Will, Tessa, and Jem perfectly. Now their love story is still the best and it was just beautiful and perfect.
Shadowhunters get money from world religious organizations... every religion pays an annual Tithe to shadowhunters. (Jem mentions in Clockwork Prince, Alec mentions in Queen of Air and Darkness)
I also felt like Lucie deserved more action during battle scenes, like I believe Lucie is a badass in a fight scene, but I feel like cassie should've given her more control during a fight instead of being just overshadowed by Cordelia. But I loved the book so much, I'm never reading it completely again, it's too painful
I honestly feel like Lucie feels left out in a sense. Like every since they found out that James has powers Lucie has been overlooked due to her not being able to discover her own powers. But now as she has she probably felt like they there was too much going on to share with her brother eg Grace, Bracelet, Matthew. She really does come across as well as being quiet and not one to talk about how she feels and what is going on and keeps to herself.
Im driving myself mad trying to think of how Chain of Thorns is gonna play out. And lead to the TMI/TDA descendants, match up with the Clockwork Princess Epilouge where Matthew Ana and Thomas are not present, but also give a reason as to why the family tree was fake or made with intentions to hide secrets. Like theres a secret Lightwood line that descends from Thomas that we dont know about, is that him and Alistair raising Sonas baby, so theres a carstairs to lead to emma? See im driving myself mad
I'm also questioning why Emma has got Cortana if she is not Cordelia's descendant. Why would Alistair have the sword and give it to his children. Right now I'm thinking matzhe and Cordelia have a child (which is why Emma is blond and has brown eyes) and they give the child to Alistair but it seems unlikely 😅
This is such an accurate portrayal of my feelings about this book. I’m in pain and i can’t believe that i have to wait A WHOLE YEAR for the next book😭 What you said about Matthews addiction was soo accurate and I’m really interested in how Cassie will deal with that.
Loved it, the book and the video!! But why no one’s talking about the fact that, beside the voyance rune, Grace got her first rune from Christopher (his creativity rune)?
I haven’t seen anyone in the comments talk about this so I’m just gonna say it here, was anyone else getting strange vibes from the Inquisitor? Like idk much about him other than how the other characters describe him but it just doesn’t make sense for him to be so focused on having someone take the blame for the murders when there’s no real proof. I even had a theory mid-book that Belial was possessing him or that he was working for Belial but that was never proven so idk. Plus, at the end I fully expected him to show up as either Belial’s worker or him being possessed but that didn’t happen either. Still, I get the feeling that he has more to do with what’s happening than we are led to believe.
To be honest from past books whenever have we ever had a inquisitor apart from a well known character (do not want to spoil if not read all the books) that have either died or turned out to be evil.
The ending made me so angry I had to stop reading. It's almost putting me off reading the next book tbh. I'm not sure I can face another whole book of miscommunication and noone being clear about their feelings. You just know it will take all of the next book to clear up the situation between James and Cordelia and I'm not sure I'm up for it... I was really hoping they would be honest with each other at the end of this book and we could avoid the cliche of miscommunication.
OK OK so in chog, when Lucie was writing The Beautiful Cordelia, there was a scene where Cordelia was stopped by a beautiful man with green eyes who was keeping her from completing whatever she needed to do. You know who's a beautiful man with green eyes? Matthew Fairchild. Who's standing in Daisy's way as she tries to deal with her complicated marriage where the two of them SUCK at communicating, even worse than Wessa in Clockwork Princess? Matthew Fairchild. My theory is that Math is "standing in her way" in a sense and that HOPEFULLY she realizes this in chot. It'll probably take 80% of the book for this to be resolved but like if James and Cordelia don't fix themselves I will riot istg. ANOTHER THING: when Jamie went "Matthew? Matthew, is that you?" I like started sobbing and I am so scared for the next book I want them to realize that they're being annoying angsty bishes. Also, Christine, thank you for corrupting my mind and making it to where I read "Daisy, my Daisy" in your voice from the recap video. It killed me.
James says "Thank God" to Grace when he hears of hear desire to not get married to Charles because at that point he figured out what the bracelet was doing to him wanted to confront her about it but he knew that if he just straight up started yelling at her as soon as the door opened she would've most likely walked away so he said those words in order to lure her into a false sense of security to make her think that the bracelet was still working and that he was still "in love" with her and would listen to what she had to say in order to get her in the house and confront her :)
I’m pretty sure she knows that but like why would he say that out loud that’s like horrible choice of words James just doesn’t know how to speak appropriate words apparently 💀
I relate so much to what you said about the whole bracelet ordeal tainting the rest of the book. There would be whole scenes filled with important exposition that would completely go over my head because I was so focused on whether someone would bring up/notice the bracelet. My obsession was concerning, but I’m happy to hear that you were equally obsessed! Yay go us!
I actually spent a moment laughing out how elaborate the background has gotten bc of how many shadowhunter books there are now, but... I laughed harder when I realized I could replicate this background myself, I’m just as obsessed with this chronicle 😂
Maybe Lucie did die bringing Jesse back to life (because natural balance and all that) and in the next book, Jesse is trying to bring her back with Malcolm? Because Malcolm still needs her to contact Annabel? Like their roles are reversed?
If your a Harry Potter fan you know where this is coming from Reading Cassandra Clare books be like: “your gonna suffer, but your going to be happy about it” - Ronald Weasley
that moment when you realise that if you had gotten up an hour earlier you could have made it to the premier but then you are happy because you still get to hear Christine talk about coi
I just finished reading the book today. I haven’t been reading since it was a busy semester but when I started the book, my mom saw me and was like, “oh I’m glad you get to relax now.” I was just like, WDYM THESE CHARACTERS ARE STRESSING ME OUT
The inscription of Belial's throne is a reference to Lucifer, the Morning Star, not the Morgenstern family. Although why the Morgensterns are named after Lucifer is still a mystery.
I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS!!! 😭 Right after I finished the book I started to think about the video you made after reading Clockwork Prince about the mourning period and I just felt that so much after reading Chain of Iron. I really need the last book now!! 😩 I spent so much of the book concerned over when the bracelet would come off that I started worrying that it wouldn't come off in this book or if it was going to happen it would be in the last chapter and I was going to be so mad. I liked that it seemed like whenever James was contemplating his feelings for Cordelia while he still had the bracelet on he would get a painful headache and I viewed that as his subconscious fighting the power of the bracelet. I really just wanted to smack everyone for hiding things and not communicating with each other. Like Thomas tell your friends your gay that won't care, Lucy tell you future parabatai that you've been talking to Jesse's ghost and that you have the power to control the dead, Matthew if you're not going to tell your parents your secret please at least tell your friends, Cordelia and James you love each other stop waiting for the perfect moment and just say it!! 😤
The whole freaking book I kept thinking that Magnus Freaking Bane would sense the dark spell on James bracelet whenever he's near James. I mean the warlocks could sense dark magic right????
OMG my CHAIN OF IRON copy just arrived earlier today! I'm ecstatic. I've already read COI but I had to buy the book anyway because it's a CASSIE BOOK! It's my first time buying a brand new hardcover book and I'm so so satisfied. The cover is really beautiful. Can't wait for Chain of Thorns!!!
I have never even read this series, but I always find myself watching your book talks anyway, because your passion radiates through the screen and it makes me happy.
At first I thought the problem with Cortana was because of the scabbard her father gave her because how he got it was a mystery but later I realised something, what if the scabbard's maker is the answer to Cordelia's Paladin problem , I am pretty sure the Scabbard and it's maker have a big plot in Chain of thorns and I can't believe I have to wait till 2022
I couldn’t wait to watch this video. Finally got a chance to finish it this weekend and omg that ending!!!! It’s like your reading my mind with your thoughts on the ending!! I can’t believe we have to wait a whole year for them to talk (hopefully)
I think I know the answer to the $ question, I saw it on tumblr from a Q+A from Cassie. I think it said something along the lines of: shadowhunters receive an income and the greater or more illustrious your family's work is, the more $ you have. Like the Herondales are wealthy because Will and Tessa run the institute and the Carstairs are bankrupt(ish) because of Elias.
It's not Grace's fault that Malcolm did what he did. He would've found out eventually, let's not blame a girl for a man's actions. I feel like I'm the only one who loves Grace or at least understands why she is the way she is. Tatiana is so abusive and awful and Grace is so lonely and desperate. I really want there to be some sort of scene with Lucie where Grace says she has no one and Lucie says she'll have her as a friend. Let Grace have a friend 😭 The ending didn't even make me sad or heartbroken, I was just angry. I was mad at the bad timing and miscommunication, I was mad that both James and Cordelia didn't fight for each other, like come on! And Matthew just leaving that letter??? Instead of talking to James? His so-called best friend and parabatai?? I finished it at 1 am and I was genuinely antsy, like I couldn't get to sleep for a while because I was so mad! Idk how I feel about this book as a whole, I think it really depends how Chain of Thorns goes because this bs of everyone keeping secrets and not USING THEIR WORDS is driving me crazy 😧
completely agree about grace. she deserves love and support, not hate and pettiness for shit her mother forced her to do through abuse. i can't understand how people can't see that she's a good person who has lived terribly since she was a kid after reading coi. grace deserves so many good things and i love her so much . hope she gets her happy ending in cot 🥺💕
One thing that stands out is how Christine kept saying she was wanting to know more about Grace in the first book but she didn’t seem to comment on the fact that basically every chapter had a little excerpt from Grace’s childhood.
The fact that Cordelia stayed to eavesdrop on her brother in an intimate moment but NOT her husband?!?! I will NEVER understand that because if she had just stuck around for two more seconds listening to James and Grace, I- KakskcmcmckJkJJHHSJDKKCdkkckvvk!!!
This is the first video I discovered by looking for a review of Chain of Iron. I could NOT stop laughing. This is hilarious and so spot on. I had all the same questions and frustrations and you raised quite a few very good ones I couldn't articulate! And yes, Magnus solves everything. Loved it and can't wait to check out more!
I forgot how much I love your book talks. Your videos always inspire laughter and fun for me. I didn’t see if anyone else said anything in the comments, but in relation to the shadowhunter income--it’s definitely mentioned by Elias to James during their argument (when Elias asks for 15,000 pounds). Elias says something about how he will no longer be permitted to receive a paycheck as a working shadowhunter from the Clave. Elias also says he was basically counting on a promotion (many years ago following slaying the Greater Demon) to pay off his debts-but obviously he was never promoted. I am assuming that the older shadowhunter or "famous" families have more money bc they have spent more time being promoted/in positions of power whether due to their magnificent deeds, nepotism, reputation, or simply inheritance.
About how Cordelia paid the cab when running away from Curzon Street: It is mentioned that she has "taken nothing with from the Curzon Street house safe what was in her pockets: a few coins, a handkerchief, her stele." So I guess that's the money she used? Thank you for mentioning all those frustrating things! No one around me really knows what I'm talking about when it comes to the Shadowhunter books so I'm glad that there are other people who get my frustration.
Also, James really told his father that he was bringing his parabatai with him on his honeymoon and Will didn’t flinch.
Only Will herondale 😂
Wait did I miss this part? Is at the end? 😅

I think it's so funny when everyone was explaining to "Magnus" (aka Lilith) how they knew James wasn't the killer because they tied him to the bed and "Magnus" is just like "I don't need to know anymore about that" Lilith did a good job cause that was such a Magnus thing to say lmao
Matthew fairchild acts more like a herondale than an actual herondale
Those two dislikes are Tatiana and Belial 🌝🤚🏻
😂😂😂😂😂😂damn and rest are their frikin demons
IS ANYONE ELSE REALLY REALLY ANGRY AT THE ENDING?!?!
YES SAME
JUST COMPLETED READING IT....SO PISSED...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
YES OH MY GOD WHY
PISSED. I was cursing Cassie out lmao
Yup
can we talk about the potential relationship between grace and christopher, i love him and i hope he becomes a bigger part of the story
Me tooooo I love Christopher so much!
to talk about that question about how they make money..
Christine is the best. Don't even try and argue me on this. I won't budge.
No hesitations
Christine is like the only booktuber who has almost the exact taughts as me on books i read✋
This book was heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak. The only part when i laughed out loud was when Will runs after the demon after the ball. I truly hate and love Cassie in this moment. She knows how to make us feel death inside. And thanks God Magnus it's back . I just wonder how the shadowhunders survived so long without him.
maybe the real filomena was never in London and it's been lilith all along, idk but i thought this filomena girl was going to be an important character and then she just died
same, emma carstairs, same
I feel like Cassie writes in random characters just to kill them to inflate kill numbers 😂. When fans ask “how many people die in the new book?” If she says 5, 4 of the 5 are non important characters.
@@meh5069 I’ve been thinking that too
I was honestly so scared to read Chain of Iron after finishing Chain of Gold last year... and y'all...
YES I ALSO HAVE THE SAME GUT FEELING!!!!
I DONT WANT IT BUT I JUST FEEL IT IDK
@@aubreyrusso8819 literally same, like matthew is one of my favorite characters and I just feel like he's gonna die, maybe its bc in none of cassies other books does the parabati die (except clockwork princess but I don't really count that). Literally all I want is for him to be happy :((
OMG SAME! Glad I’m not the only one who thinks that. I’d absolutely shatter if it happens
the fact that he has no death date too in the family tree! Although he also might have kids but they're unnamed? CONFUSION
the realization that magnus wasn’t magnus when he went to see hypatia 😂
...oh no
Yes I was like OH SHIT. And then “how did I not notice the color of his magic??”
I really thought that Cassie was gonna pull another Lilith possession on another herondale boy since James almost died. Also the lack of communication in this book made me want to punch something. I love these kids but they don't ever talk I swear.
what was ur reaction when Tatiana demands Grace to seduce Jesse? that was so eww
I was LAUGHING so hard because Cassandra Clare claims she’s over that phase but... is she, really? Or it was just her poking fun as her younger version’s haters or even herself? The moment Grace said “no” I felt a segment of the fandom was vindicated
It was the most disturbing dialogue godddddd
It took me out of the book for a moment and I almost set it down. I was soooo worried Grace would say yes because you just never know with Cassie, but whatever. She shouldn't have added that scene in there but at least Grace wasn't ok with it.
Cassie is light weight a pervert😂
@@annaday946 at this part I had to put the book down as well for a moment to collect my thoughts.
the audacity that i have to wait a year for chain of thorns--
Wait one year or two years?
@@phebsterxxx i think one year, but if its two years im rioting
I KNOW
I was almost mad I didn’t just wait till next year - when both are out - to read it. Imagine the feeling of having it in your hand and just being able to continue on >.
Ikr. I wish i had forced myself to wait till the entire trilogy after finishing CoI because AAAAAA I CANT WAIT ANYMORE IM DYING
And the TEASERS! I was screaming into my pillow after reading the teasers and I was just so-
this book was actual emotional torture. i can’t believe we have to wait ANOTHER YEAR FOR THE NEXT ONE AH! i feel like i’m the only one, but i don’t actually hate grace and i think she’s kind of interesting? i mean she has so many flaws and that fucking bracelet, but overall she has more of an interesting arc than most of the characters! honestly i think i just enjoy the background characters probably the best
I KNOW RIGHT? I don't hate Grace like at all, other than the bracelet (BUT she tried to take it off of him and Jesse was threatened, & since her entire goal is to save Jesse you can kind of understand why she put it back on) and how she used her power on Math. I think the person everyone should hate is Tatiana for abusing the girl the way she did but oh well
I think we better get used to her because it seems like Cassie is setting up a grace/Christopher relationship 😂
I dont "hate" grace. I pity-hate her, like azula, and i dont "hate" azula. She's interesting and i hope she redeems herself
(I really hate some things she did though)
I also spent the entire book yelling about the bracelet. I felt like I was rushing through other characters chapters, just trying to get to the part where he took off the bracelet. It kept taking me out of the other stories because I was so enraged. Like you said, a piece of bamboo stuck under my fingernail, constantly bothering me
I feel this so hard
Hmmmm it’s interesting because in the beginning of coi Hypatia gives Cordelia this whole monologue abt the warlocks lord and savor Lilith and they have that whole party to honor her at the Ruelle soooooo I kind of feel like maybe Hypatia did know that Lilith was impersonating Magnus. Maybe? Idk it’s sus
These goddamn Herondale children are so frustrating. Lord give me one Herondale that doesnt drive me insane. JUST ONE
There's still hope.. Kit might be turn out fine, with Jem as his father figure! :D
I wanna story with Tobias Herondale like when he was alive.
This is why Kit is my favorite Herondale
Omg same! The amount of times I screamed “James take the bracelet off!” Was insane.
The end of the book was just a car crash that I could see a mile out and couldn't do anything about ahhhhhhhansjdirogke so thanks for commiserating with me! :)
Whenever I read the Last Hour Series I keep thinking this is Cassandra Clare's murder plot and she will kill us all with this series.
I need a video solely dedicated to Jesse and Lucie!
Everyone needs that video lmao
YEAH. From the first book they have been amazing and so pure. Like - the way they understand each other is just so magical. 😍😍
Yesss
Yess
Simon and Clary? (I don’t count CoA lmao)
@@Keiratoth67 yeah I guess but even they have a thing for a little while so idk
FINALLYYYYY
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EVER SINCE I FINISHED COI
I’m so excited
@@haennybeee487 I think cortana always remains with Carstairs and cortana chooses it’s owner too
Good point!
This is such an accurate portrayal of my feelings about this book. I’m in pain and i can’t believe that i have to wait A WHOLE YEAR for the next book😭
What you said about Matthews addiction was soo accurate and I’m really interested in how Cassie will deal with that.
My shadowhunter obsession is completely re-ignited by this book. I’m going back and starting with city of bones again, big commitment
Yes I’m going to reread starting with clockwork series ,chains, mortal instruments etc
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this since it came out 😂
Loved it, the book and the video!! But why no one’s talking about the fact that, beside the voyance rune, Grace got her first rune from Christopher (his creativity rune)?
Ikr I think that’s sooooo cute
LITERALLY JUST FINISHED IT LAST NIGHT AND I AM BEYOND STRESSED
@@phebsterxxx exactly! and I thinking this time won’t be any different lol that job is corrupt
I know right. I just have a bad feeling
Exactly and the fact that his wife was upset cause she didn’t want him to go see Tatiana alone but he insisted? Like uhh why
I literally screamed about the ending and the romances to my boyfriend when he got home from work
LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU SAY COMES STRAIGHT OUT OF MY BRAIN. ive been waiting for this since i finished the book and it did not disappoint!!!
Same! Haha, it’s great!
I was really hoping they would be honest with each other at the end of this book and we could avoid the cliche of miscommunication.
finally! there were so many parts when i was reading where i thought “ohmygod i wonder what christine’s going to say about this”
OK OK so in chog, when Lucie was writing The Beautiful Cordelia, there was a scene where Cordelia was stopped by a beautiful man with green eyes who was keeping her from completing whatever she needed to do.
Yay go us!
What a great talk! The chat was so fun, and I loved hearing your thoughts! Here’s to answers and communication in Chain of Thorns! ❤️
Taylor Swift reference + Chain of Iron + Christine = Iconic
The fact that chain of iron is more apt for champagne problems by taytay than chain of gold is just....🤯
loved the comedic pause after "I think the answer's no"
I actually spent a moment laughing out how elaborate the background has gotten bc of how many shadowhunter books there are now, but...
Interesting 🙂
If your a Harry Potter fan you know where this is coming from
Reading Cassandra Clare books be like: “your gonna suffer, but your going to be happy about it” - Ronald Weasley
that moment when you realise that if you had gotten up an hour earlier you could have made it to the premier but then you are happy because you still get to hear Christine talk about coi
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 😍
CHRISTINE 2 MINUTES INTO THE VIDEO GIVES ME LIFE, YESYESYES, EXACTLY HOW DARE CASSIE BREAK MY HEART SO MUCH
Chain of thorns came out today, watching this cuz duh need a recap
Literally doing the exact same thing
I spent so much of the book concerned over when the bracelet would come off that I started worrying that it wouldn't come off in this book or if it was going to happen it would be in the last chapter and I was going to be so mad.
Exactly!! He said that he saw it on Ty, why not James!
Glad I'm not the only one who was hyper-fixated on THAT DAMN BRACELET.
This was the PERFECT recap to watch before I start Chain of Thorns!!!! Thank you!!! LOVE YOUR ENERGY ❤
thank you!
You would have thought that Will would think that it's weird that Matthew and Cordelia didn't get off the train or even say goodbye!
The death of the bracelet is the only death in these books that I'll ever celebrate! Fricken Grace 🙄
Always love your book talk videos! Your screaming about Lilith was so like my reaction when I realised she’d been Magnus in disguise 😱
Let Grace have a friend 😭
The ending didn't even make me sad or heartbroken, I was just angry.
I completely agree with you about the Grace thing. This book really made me sympathize with her
YES😩
THIS.
I love the connection that’s growing between Grace & Christopher ❤️
completely agree about grace. she deserves love and support, not hate and pettiness for shit her mother forced her to do through abuse. i can't understand how people can't see that she's a good person who has lived terribly since she was a kid after reading coi. grace deserves so many good things and i love her so much . hope she gets her happy ending in cot 🥺💕
Omg i love it when Christine imagines how Belial plots his evil plans
