Someone mentioned that the Vedic devatas have disappeared. But even today in the Trikala Sandhyavandanam, all the Vedic devatas are worshiped. Mitra, Varuna, Agni, Indra are all there. Farmers still do puja to Indra every year. The morning Sandhyavandana, Mitra is the main devata. The yagnas still are Vedic, and Agni is the deity who is worshiped. Also one must remember that Advaita vedanta is also an interpretation of the Vedas (one of the darshanas) so the concept of Brahman, and the Purusha and Prakriti of Sankhya is also derived from the Vedas. So the Vedic devatas are of a different kind.

The athiyaman kings who ruled northern tamil nadu in the 3rd century bce, called themselves as satyaputra, which means descendent of king satyavrata who is also known as vaivaswata manu.

The oldest Greek writers, observes Sir William Jones, allow that their mythologies were not their own invention (As. Res. III. 467) ; and it is now certain that the early divinities and legends of Greece were the same that were possessed by their brethren in India. If Hegel calls the discovery of the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit the discovery of a new world, the same may be said with regard to the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit mythology “ The legends of the Old Testament - Thomas Lumisden Strange.

The trauma may have been such that the luxuriant environment needed for being a reader and thinker disappeared. There may have been a quanti and quali drop, numbers and capacity of people who could read and discuss the vedas. Is it possible that it was too huge a body of knowledge and needed many people to make it thrive?Rather than being not allowed to read the veda/ learn sanskrit etc??.....

What are these guys reading? Griffith? 7.18.6,7 for example, in which Griffith enumerates the so-called "10 tribes" - Anavas, Simyu, Bhrgus, Druhyus, Paktas, Bhalanas, Alinas, Vishanin, Shivas, Trutsu are all generic terms. And "arya" is "jo yuddhvidhi mein kushal"! Verse 7 in fact reads in bhavarth as follows: Hey rajan. Jo tapasvi purusharthi vakta jan uttam rupwale mangal jinke acharan yuddh vidhya me kushal aryajan aapko jis-jis ka upadesh de, us-us ko upramat hote hue sada taano, arthath sarvadaiva uska acharan karo. Where are the tribes? It is the 10 virtues of kings! How can the Veda contain itihasa? The western extent of Bharatvarsh was the Alps as confirmed by the Ramayana. And Mandala 7 contains some of the oldest of the RgVed songs, which puts them well beyond 20,000 BCE conservatively. What "race of Aryans" existed then? Or even later according to the colonial fake narratives? Paktas for example is "jo pak vidya me kushal". F**king cooks! So, you take some generic terms from a poem that is potentially 20,000 years old, associate that to lineages of kings that are of the period between 5k-10k BCE, then link that to ruins of two Indus settlements dated to 1500 BCE, and come up with a historic timeline of a series of battles? I think we need to take a serious look at traditional scholarship in this country.

Not sure if that would relate contextually. I am still listening to the Q&A sessions. Dr. Kashyap's thesis appears to be entirely related to past historic events described and inferred, while Acharya Agnivrat's thesis focuses more on sub-atomic effects and causation relating to the initial state of the entire Universe and beyond spanning much of particle physics including quantum mechanics and string theory.
While one train of thought is literal the other is highly abstract, both involving several assumptions.
But it might be fascinating. Any discussion among scholars, illuminating as they would be, is definitely worth listening to, because the real truth still evades everyone.

The Dasarajna war that I read says that Sudhas was from Paras (Persia aka Iran which makes him an Aryan). Mesopotamia, Greece, probably Egypt, Gandhar, Pakhtoonistan, Uzbekistan, IVC on the banks of river Sarawathy (which was flowing) & 2 more countries participated. Bharata's descendants Purus fought from IVC. Sudhas won the war & declared that he has not fought to make people his slaves or change them in any way. They can follow their own worship to their own Gods in their own temples & are free to follow their own culture & civilisation as they want.
Persian History says that Cyrus of Persia fought a war with 9 other kings & won it. He told the same words to the conquered people that they can follow whatever they were doing & he is not going to enslave them or convert them in any way. So today's Persian History & Dasarajna war described in Rig Veda matches perfectly except for the names.
Unfortunately by falsifying the "Aryan invasion theory" blabbered by the British to show themselves as superior, today Indians have started denying the AIT. Parasrama (citizen of Paras aka Persia aka Iran) invaded India & killed all the kshatriyas & created 3 rivers with their blood - Mahabharatha Adi Parv. We cannot ignore that. Sorry.
During Ramayana, Shiva was worshiped as God by Ravana, Mandodari & Ram-Lakshman. While the Sethu bandhana was going on, Rama made a Shivaling with clay & conducted the Mrithyunjaya Homa by chanting the mantra that Markandeya chanted. That place is in Rameshwaram (Ram + Ishwar) & a huge temple with beautiful gopurams (temple towers, South Indian style) stands there.

He was not a conquere but was killing corrupt Kshatriyas to reestablish dharma. Why are you making up stuff when it is all clearly elucidated in the Valmiki Ramayana, Mahabharata, and various Puranas such as Vishnu Purana.

Does it mean these parts of Rigveda did not exist during earlier kings (Bharata, Nahusha, Manu etc). But it is also mentioned that 7th mandala is the oldest.

1.5 hours and many people who are interested in topic just leave it after watching duration of video.
Or else you can upload main main point of video in small small clips it will attract young audience attention as well as create a curiosity among them as well.

People who are interested will watch even if it is a 3 hour video; you can stop after 20 mins and later start it from where you left it; youtube has faclity of playlist, video history, downloading, etc.... so there is no need for short videos; infact people like me who listen to these videos as podcasts may find the longer format to be better.

What an uneducated question. (1) Ahsvamedha avoids wa if the tribute is paid, and war ensues only if tribute is not paid. And we know during the Horses roaming many kings would just pay the tribute. (2) Ashvamedha did not change the King of the land but only his aligance to the Chakarvartin. This was important to ties the region in to single thread in case of external aggression. Even if war ensued, the population was not molested. The questioner and responder both seem not to pay attention to the details.

SITAKALYANA of RAMAYANA has been KALACHAKRA dated by Nilesh Oak to 12209 BCE on the basis of about 200 observations of events in the epic itself. These dates are iron clad and can date the ancient event to the day because the solar system is a giant clock in the night sky and the slow wobble of the earth is well known which moves the pole stars in a circle very slowly over a period of 26000 years.
Almost all prehistoric dates are wrong. Rg Veda is before Ramayana. There is no KALACHAKRA date for DASHARAAGNA war yet. It is after Rg Veda before Ramayana.
Mahabharata itself is dated similarly by Oak to 5561 BCE, the date of Bhisma nirvana. Even that is much older than the date of the ridiculous Aryan Invasion Theory cooked up by Max Muller! The earth was not created by the Christian god 6000 years ago!
Goblike Tepe in Turkey, a henge for funerary rituals has much in common with Rg Veda rituals of the dead, MOHENJADARO of the Indus Valley phase, Egyptian Mesas or flat topped pyramids, regular pyramids of Egyptians fascinated with death, Sumerian civilization, Druid henges, all really old civilizations, typically 16,000 years ago, discussed by Vijayabhaarati.

Why do people say Sanskrit is an ancient but not a living language?
The epic RAAMAYANA has the KAALACHAKRA date 12209 BCE and the SAMSKRTA language follows all PAANINI’s rules.
Unless PAANINI could travel in time to RAAMAYANA days his grammar rules of ASTAADHAAYI were known before RAAMAYANA and SAMSKRTA was frozen to be changeless.
It looks strange that a language couldn’t change over such a long period of time but there it is. RAAMAYANA is fully understandable today by anyone.
As for as living language is concerned, commentaries of Vedic texts were done in the near past ,say before Islamic raids in about 1000 CE.
MAHAABHAARATA is similarly dated to 5561BCE with a huge gap of about 12,000 years. Rg Veda was already known by RAAMAYANA and if these dates are correctly derived, where would the DASHARAAGNA war fit in this timeline?

Aryans, derived from the original Sanskrit word Arya, means cultivated educated person, according to Sri Aurobindo, used to have very high moral standard with great regard for truth, promise and hospitality. Their sages, or Rishis, after many years of meditations and learning, derived some great ideas or hymns(Riks) on God and universe.
Recent DNA evidence shows that Europe experienced a massive population influx from the east, beginning around 4,500 years from the present. Several haplo-groups were involved in this expansion, including the Indian-origin R1a1a. This was almost a total replacement event, which indicates that Indo-Aryans, among others, expanded westward into Europe and to a large extent replaced indigenous European males and their Y-chromosome strata (Sharma and his associates, 2009)
This genetic evidence indicates that several Y-chromosomal (patrilineal) lineages, one of which was the Indian-origin R1a1a, gave rise to the modern European population. Out of these lineages, R1a1a is the most widespread and numerous.

This genetic evidence indicates that several Y-chromosomal (patrilineal) lineages, one of which was the Indian-origin R1a1a, gave rise to the modern European population. Out of these lineages, R1a1a is the most widespread and numerous.
    It proves that:
    1. The R1a haplogroup originated in India.
    2. The Indo-Aryan people have lived in India for at least 15,450 years, which invalidates the theory that the Indo-Aryans invaded India 3,500 years ago.
    3. The hundreds of millions of members (possibly over a billion) of the R1a family living across the world today - a very large fraction of humanity - are all descended from one single male ancestor who lived in India at least 15,450 years ago.
This discovery demonstrates the close genetic (and hence linguistic and cultural) affinity of Indians with the Russian and Polish people, the Vikings and Normans, and with the ancient Scythians and Tocharians, among many others (Sharma et al, 2009).
