If you want to feed equally to each phase then we should use 3 phase inverter. Secondly for system size more then 6.6kw we should use 3 phase inverter because in most of the states we only allow 5kw export each phase. So if we use 15kw 3 phase inverter then each phase get 5kw.

I have 3 floor house with 9 kW 3 phase connection....I m going to install Single phase 5 kW solar system....Also i have connected different phase at each floor..... Kindly suggest what should I do.......So that i can use the output of solar system on each floor
It depends on your electricity meter, if meter is calculating bill on net metering not gross metering then doesn’t matter 1 or 3 phase because end of the day meter calculate how energy used or sent in hour. Else in your scenario just go with 3 phase inverter.
Main problem is this if current does not come in one phase then all panels will not generate electricity to grid and (2) if voltage also not equally or a major diff then panels will not generate.what is the actual difference so that we may change the inverter in the intial stage because electricity provider will fix the net meter in one week.pl advice correctly sir to save Money invested for saving and producing more units to grid?
Your comments might be correct for many countries, but unfortunately in New Zealand we don't have Net Metering, so being forced to export power on one phase while buying it on another phase is an expensive hobby!
I m using 3 phase connection from electricity board. I m planning to install 4kw ongrid solar system. As per package from tata, they will install 9 modules(525w each) ,a total of 4.73kw. But they will install 4 kw single phase inverter. Is that technically correct?i can utilize the total efficiency of the installed modules which is 4. 73 kw ? Single phase inverter is ok with 3 phase connection? Kindly reply
Thanks firstly panels never perform 100%, usually they produce 90-80%. Thus, based on your location even 5.32kw solar panels would be sufficient for 4kw. So 4.73kw on 4kw inverter is fine. Single phase inverter on three phase connection should be fine but it’s all depends upon your meter reading calculations , export rules of your electricity provider.

Thanks for making this video on technical point. But why has Haryana government made it mandatory in their notification to install three phase inverter with 3 phase meter ?
There is no hard rule of installing inverters, As I mentioned in the video it depends on network provider, what sort of lines & grid infrastructure. May be Haryana electrical department does not want people to export lot of electricity from 1 phase only if they got 3 phase connection. 3 phase inverter split solar production in all 3 phases equally which help to reduce over voltage issues. Now this 1 phase inverter on 3 phase inverter is only good if you are installing 5kw inverter. Above then that I would suggest only use 3 phase inverter on 3 phase supply like from 6kw to 100kw etc
Technically it shouldn’t affect. However, it also depends on how many kw per phase is allow from your network provider. Because system going to export if house/business is not using electricity. Secondly, your meter is doing net metering or not. First check the guidelines of your local grid connection provider.
I have 335watt 30 panels, which is connected in 2 series of 15 panels to VFD to run 10hp submersible pump on agricultural field. Can you suggest any good inverter to convert power into ac current by using these series by using multi mc4 connector.
Inverter is also depends you got 1 or 3 phase supply coming, maximum export limit as per your network provider and price range. It’s a 10kw system so if your Ac supply going to connected with 1 phase then go for 8kw 1p goodwe, sungrow,Fronius, Huawei or Fronius brand. If it’s 3 phase then go for 3p 10kw of same brands which I have mentioned above.
In past my house load is 6.5kw and i have a solar plant of 5kw single phase net meter but i want to exetend my house load to 10kw so my question is can i install 1 another single phase inveters of 5kw in three phase net meter
Yes you can attach another single phase inverter to the phase which is free from solar connection. Currently you got 3 phases 1 phase connected with 1 single P inverter. Now attach another 1 single p inverter to any of the other 2 phases. If your meter work on net metering then you should be able to take the advantageZ
Yes it’s possible and we have installed multiple in 🇦🇺 Australia. Technically it’s possible However, check your local Distributer guidelines before installing anything.
Yes you can. However, it depends on the purpose as well. If your distributor meter is smart then it should be fine. But if you want to run appliances on Solar real time and not worry about billing then use 3 phase inverter.
