    I'm pretty impressed with how many chips the trailer will hold.

    You can buy a pinnacle hook on your trailer so chipper will not move when chip but would not pull down road that way but many do multiple trailers.

    Nice work Tim! That gas powered chipped continues to impress. I'm surprised the homeowner didn't want the chips with all that natural area. Happy Fathers Day!

    When you choose the next chipper, you could probably get a size or two larger. Even though this one can take and gnaw up a 18" cross section. It's not designed for it and fan wear things out prematurely. I know it's awfully cavalier of me to tell you how you should spend your money. It's why I'm not making a demand for such. You don't tell me how to live my life or spend my cash and i don't have the right to do that to you in turn.
    Anyy, I'd think a 20" model would serve you better. If for no other reason than being able to fit more limbs at once or larger around trunks.

    Need you a heel on that there mini

    • @cotontop3
      @cotontop3  2 роки тому +1

      Why? Then I would have to stay straight in line all the time. A fixed position grapple like this rpa you do not use a heel. You only use a heel on a dangle grapple like what’s on the track loader I run in the woods.

    Hey Tim, I recently upgraded chippers from a 1390xp to a 165hp GM 19xpc. It's an amazing chipper and best of all you don't have to raise the feedwheel when loading large wood. The top feedroller is so big it just climbs over anything you put in it. I feed alone a lot and it has cut our chipping time in half. It blows the doors of a 18xp with the smaller feed wheels. The downside would be how heavy it is. You wouldn't want to take it on the lawns. Great video btw!

    Do you ever feel like you have a disadvantage on some jobs due to the excavator having more ground disturbance than day a mini skid or articulated loader? I have jobs where an excavator would be ideal and then other where the mini skid would be better suited. I’d love to have both but can only afford 1 lol

    They would drop in one go and separate from the stump if you used a Homboldt cut instead of the conventional that you did. Face cut level on the top, and angle upwards to meet it. Remove the wedge, complete your back cut, and away you go.
