Before that I have worked with two good broking firms from 2003 to 2010 and sold there most of the financial products, like life, non life, bonds, post office schemes, mutual fund IPOs etc. SO Total experience in this industry is more than20 years andNow I am wondering to do CFA. Is it a good decision? One more thing ,from where I have to do this course.
I wanted to ask u that ... Is there any online platform to start preparation of cfa . Because i think physics wallah wale log bss ca , cs ki hi tyaari krwate hn cfa ki ni . So if anyone knows any channel jaha cfa ki tyaari krwai jati ho resonable price to pls let me know
You mentioned the wrong eligibility. Level 1 requires you to be in 23 month before graduation and level 2 requires 11 month before graduation and level 3 requires after graduation
While what you are saying may be technically correct, it is not practical. CFA requires college marksheet to validate these timelines. In India a student gets results by August . Example a student who started graduation in July 2024, will get results by August 2025. Meaning he/she will be able to book level 1 exams by November 2025. Which leaves 18 months to graduation and not 23. Similarly for CFA level 2 , the student gets marksheet by August 2026. Post which the student can boom exams February 2027 which is only a few months before graduation and not 11 months. Therefore, if a candidate uses the first year in developing skill set or pursuing a low duration course, he/she will be able to utilise their time better. Please understand our objective is to make eligibility criteria as simple to understand as possible. Sometimes simple is better than accurate. As it gets more people to start amazing courses like CFA.

Past experience is also counted. It has to be in the relevant area. I have seen many companies using 'Finance' synonymous with accounting profiles like AR, AP, R2R, etc.. If that's the case with you, your past experience won't be counted.

Altaf, you are correct. However, students in India usually do not get their 2nd year marksheets 11 months before graduation. It's only 5-6 months before graduation they get their second year marksheets and can enroll into CFA level 2. Post second year results which are usually in August, next CFA exam will be after student complete their graduation. I did my research, I just want it to be easy for students to understand and utilize their graduation time better.
