- It’s certainly easier to make assumptions about people than it is to spend time getting to know someone. We wanted to put assumptions to the test to see what we're missing out on because we're so busy assuming we already "know" a person. Join us as we discover why you should never judge a book by it’s cover in our series, Reverse Assumptions.
We are all conditioned with certain biases. In this experiment, we challenged these biases by asking people to make assumptions about their partner's appearance without ever actually seeing their partner. When they flipped around to finally face each other, they were shocked by how wrong they were.

jess_a_yo It is not Greek. It is Persian. Xerex was a Persian king. The name Xerex is the Greek pronunciation of the Old Persian " Xšayāršā". In our country we call it as "Serhas". But this doesn't change the facg that the name is Persian in origin.

Being able to have a great, meaningful conversation with someone always mattered so much more to me than what they looked like or where were they from. Actually, I prefer when people I meet are different from me, that is the best way to learn about new stuff :)
I've been homeless, so I don't judge people. You can never know a persons history until you speak with them. I can tell you this, washing your armpits in a bus station bathroom is a very humbling experience. Where is my next meal coming from? Where will I sleep? You feel shame and fear quite a bit. There is nothing good about being homeless.

I lived in my car when I was in my nursing program, that's 2 years. I have so much love for homeless people ever since then.

I am now a senior citizen, retired from private practice as a marriage family therapist and prior to that social work. Nobody ever asks me what I did for a career. I am now disabled using a walker although fully cognitively the same person. I believe that a lot of assumptions exist about the disabled and the elders. It feels like I have died before I died. I, too, have made assumptions about the homeless and am rethinking my bias. Many working families are one paycheck away from homelessness. Then the downward spiral begins.

Hi guys, I’m from Russia and I love watching reverse assumptions so much! I wish one day I could participate in it)
They assume I'm a boy because I have short hair but nope I'm a girl
People meet me and think ill be the life of the party, but I'm more like the girl that enjoys going to the movies alone. Men think I'm a freaky type, but I'm not big on dating, I dont mind quickies, and I'm not that spontaneous sexually. Some think I'm mean, but I I'm empath that won't even walk on grass to avoid ruining it, I cry when i see others crying, I'm kind by nature.
Why humans do stuff like this they are way awesome and we need much more of it on this planet!
