My 22 year old daughter set up a soup kitchen for the homeless 4 months ago, started with a dozen visitors and a handful of volunteers now it's full to capacity and the generosity of volunteers is overwhelming. She even offers support and advice and helps to rehome the vulnerable. She makes me proud! ❤ ❤ ❤
Recently found the Miranda show on a free streaming app here in the States and had to know who this Heather Small being referred to was. Wow. What a voice. What a song❣
Queer As Folk introduced me to this song. In 2013, I began a spiritual cleansing. This played every morning before dawn on my way to the gym. It's been a rough past few years. I was listening to another song from the past and this came up as a suggestion. Thank you UNIVERSE for Heather Smalls, her beautiful voice and the inspiration this song is to me and so many others. ❤️❤️ 11/12/22
My primary school year 6 teacher played this song at the beginning of every assembly. He definitely inspired a lot of kids back then, he was a brilliant teacher. Brings back a lot of memories and nostalgia this song☺️
@@LongBloke73 Well yes but the vid was posted 11 years ago, check the title. I think the single itself was released in 2000 and was used in the televised Olympics closing ceremony before being adopted for the London 2012 games.
@@adventurekidsoutdoors2697 Im guessing the racket that you belt out half cut at the local karaoke bar is better!??? She has a strong, soulful, distinctive and extraordinary voice. You may not like it, but it isn't overrated by any means.
When it says 'What have you done today to feel proud?', I intercept the quote as that there is a achievement that has been fulfilled in each one of us. And not just about winning an award, coming first in a race solely, it's also the mistakes we make that we reflect on and will always aim for the best. This song was also written towards the Olympians who has every right to be virtuous in oneself for they pushed themselves over their limits in whichever sport they've done. If there's anything I would take away from this song, it will be self-acceptance, pride, perseverance, and like always, THINKING POSITIVE! Thank you, Heather Small
This song is such a banger, a real uplifting song with powerful lyrics, and what a gorgeous singing voice Ms. Small has. Her vocal quality reminds me a bit of Toni Braxton (a true alto sound) but with a bit more edge. Love it.
such a beautiful song. I had the great honour in February this year of hearing heather sing this live& meeting her. she is such a talented artist & genuinely a lovely person.
Just watched the last episode of Queer As Folk (for the first time) it broke my heart and I'll never forget it, and this song will always remind me of Brian dancing in Babylon. Thumpa thumpa
This was my high school anthem, was played when we left, ‘what have you done today to make you feel proud’ was above the exit door! And yesterday it played on the radio on my way to my university graduation, oh how emotional I was! I haven’t heard this song in 10 years! 🥹🥹
A top timeless tune from Manchester I'm proud to be from Manchester as we have produced some massive bands/artists over the years and M-people need to make a comeback in 2022 and give us some more madchester/gunchester hits 😀
I can't help but think or reminisce of Biggest Loser where they used this song as the Theme Song. Never made sense back then because I was so young, but years later into growth I get that this entire message, this whole song is POWERFUL! I will commit to playing and singing this to myself every single time to remind myself IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO TRY👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is such a nostalgic song for me, I remember hearing it years ago many times and I’m so surprised how unpopular it is. Only 1.6 million views, this deserves to be in the hundreds of millions
Such a good song really cheers you up and makes you realise that we all our just as important as each other in this world and we all do amazing things! No wonder this song inspires Miranda and Stevie
Probably my favourite song. So uplifting and Heather's voice is unlike anyone I've heard before. The instrumentals are great on this track also. So iconic!
I have always loved this song and after the break up of my nineteen year marriage ten years ago, this became MY song, my reminder that I was worth so much more and that all I ever needed to do is find something each day to be proud of no matter how small. When I need reminding of what I have a achieved I sing this song at the top of my lungs. thank you so much.

I've watched the entire series 4x and still laugh at every episode. Miranda Hart is brilliant.
