This popped up randomly in an auto-playlist while I was working. Immediate goose bumps. After so many years this song still retains all of its power.
Went to K-19 in Berlin a long time ago. This song played. Returned to K-19 10 years later. The same song played.
This is timeless. This got me into VNV, long ago 😂

Let's see here, 179 likes(only 2 dislikes), all the surrounding comments are about how this is one of the best things ever, I'd say a lot of people listen to this. Myself included.
If you don't like it, then don't listen to it. There are plenty of types of music out there, and not all of them are fit for everybody. That doesn't mean you should go around insulting them.

While recognizing the political realities President Obama faces, he could use a resolute FDR in him. VNV Nation has an incredible sound, and they seem very gracious to audiences wherever they perform. They top my list for musicians I'd love to see play live. Please come to Atlanta.

It's 10 year later. Spring 2022. Here in Ukraine, the song became a terrifying truth. Passive fields, cold voices and a Nation that stands alone, fighting for our spirit, laws and ways. Against the kremlin madman and the whole bewildered "great mother russia". Enemies turned out to be not so great, in fact - our army and folkstorm, volunteers... all the Nation is united here. Russians cannot overpower our armed forces, so they cowardly killing civilians. Refusing all the laws of humanity, they're cynically bombing and shelling hospitals, evacuation sites, city districts in Kharkiv, Mariupol, Chernigiv, Sumy, near Kyiv. In other cities, warning sirens sound every day notifying us about ballistic/cruise missiles attacks. Just recently they dropped a 1000 kg bomb on a civilian shelter in Mariupol... And this is far not the complete list of russian war crimes. Their spetsnaz is in Chernobyl and Energodar N-plants, to blackmail us and the whole world with a new nuclear catastrophe.
But we won't surrender. It's a matter of our national survival first of all as putin announced the total genocide of all Ukrainians. We will win anyway, we have no right to lose. Their advance is stopped, over 14.000 invaders are already dead, 450 tanks, 1448 armored vehicles, 93 aircrafts, 112 helicopters are destroyed. And this is far not the end - we will add more to the killing score. Victory will be ours, disgrace will be their. We will hold our ground!

Poetry set to music, yeah, what a concept. and it tells a story, and involves emotiuons, and soul. Yupper Bob Dylan, his songs will live forever, unlike this trash, which hsa none of anything resembling music. Maybe when ya grow up, you will understand. This screaming maniac is hardly what the world of music considers a vocalist! Electronic drums, yeah, that's some great tone, NOT! Learn, and learn again, then you will realize what makes music music.
