    Rode one of these back in 2020 loved it so much.
    Bought the 2019 trance e pro.
    But yesterday I got one at a great deal in a medium
    It's a missile.

    I'd heard from a giant sales rep they changed the way the walk assist worked. As there was a few cases of bikes going walk abouts in the garage on there own.

    Emtbs are Time Machines
    The magic of Emtbs is they turn us into gleeful kids again and broaden our ability to explore terrain multiplying the benefits of One of mans greatest inventions the bicycle.
    The uptake of Emtbs is dependent on two factors.
    1: The density of the Mtb population
    2:The Density of the Mtb population
    E=Mtb²

    650B and plus tires are amazingly planted and nimble , my fav ebike tyres

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому

      I guess it is a personal thing but I absolutely hate plus tires. Have ridden quite a few bikes with them and just don't like how they feel and how imprecise they are. I tried a few e bikes but never really liked them until they stopped putting plus tires on them. After that I was sold.

    There is a 625wh battery for these bikes, yet to arrive in No though. Hopefully standard on 2021 bikes.

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому

      625 would be a significant improvement. That seems to be the standard with the Bosch motors these days.

    Great review what i didn't like about the Reign was ground clearance so I went Specialized Kenovo expert as I wanted twin crown forks and coil shock and 27.5 as I ride in a forest that is very tight and switch back. Also 700 battery.

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому

      The Kenevo is certainly a beast of a bike. Any motor failures yet?

      @@bestdayevermtb2 Yeah enjoyed the content last lockdown. Hopefully this is a short one. 🤞. So you would prefer the Trance over Reign for Riverhead and Rotorua?

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому

      @@peterspillane7115 I think the Trance may be a little more nibble. Must admit would have liked to have tried the Reign in a medium as the reach was longer than I am used to. I think the Reign would be good for big jumps with lots of speed. The Trance for slower tighter technical tracks.

    So you have demo the Giant Trance E+ 1 Pro and the Reign E +2 Pro, which one would you get if you were planning on racing some eMTB eDuro's?

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому +1

      Good question. Both would be suitable. I think the Trance would probably be more responsive and able to be thrown about a bit more. The Reign would be better for the bigger drops and chunky tracks.

    I don't understand people saying they want bigger battery. I run between Eco/Basic and use two bars on a 45mile run. Don't see the point running it in power mode for 25miles or less.

    • @bestdayevermtb2
      @bestdayevermtb2  4 роки тому

      I guess it depends how you ride them. I have a 700 watt/hr battery and often run it flat. I ride with a guy who has a 500 and after a three hour ride we head home because the battery is low. I don't understand riders who buy a motor and ride around in the lowest setting where is the fun in that. I would also like to do some adventure rides but worry even on echo it would not be possible.

    • @santclause1
      @santclause1 4 роки тому

      @@bestdayevermtb2 We like to Earn our ride's out and there normally 40-60miles so we have all had to learn our bikes and manage the best from ourselfs and our batteries.
      It's very rewarding. Yeah it's fun having 9 mile loop with plenty of jumps/drops and smashing it in power mode but hitting the 16mph limit ain't fun on 22-24kg e bikes. However diff people like diff things aslong as we all get to enjoy ourself's that's what counts. Basic mode normal riding. Normal mode just for long climbs i've had 56miles with 1 bar left. pretty sure you could have an adventure with that.😃

      @@santclause1 Everything you say is true. Luckily our bikes will go to 31km/hr but even that drives me nuts. I am doing a six stage enduro race series in summer depending on Covid. I am looking at doing a battery swap half way through the race as it will be very hard to do six stages on one battery. I certainly don't think it could be done on a 500watt/hr battery. Well you could possibly make it round the course but it is a race and more battery means more power for longer which means better results. I think batteries will get lighter and increased capacity with time. I look forward to this. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Where are you based?

    • @santclause1
      @santclause1 4 роки тому +1

      @@bestdayevermtb2 Based in the UK. Derbyshire. things will get Lighter/increased capacity hopefully cheaper 😀. Hope you do well and enjoy the Enduro. most other riders will be using as many batteries as possible unless there's a limit. bit sketchy atm with regulations and stuff especially checking over everybody's E bike. [ de restrictions ]. oh i'm on my second Reign e+ cracked my 1st frame on 15ft jump. 12 hours Giant had a new one at my door. 1st time any company hasn't been a pain in the ass trying to get warranty. Big up Giant 👍 Good luck and stay safe brother.
