As an Islanders fan, it sucks my team didn’t win but it was a great game and it’s an awesome rivalry. In this year, the Rangers went to the cup and the Islanders were a bottom-5 team, but none of that matters when these two play. It’s always toe-to-toe no matter who’s up or down in the standings. Also, thank god the days of Brain Strait and Andrew MacDonald as a pair are over. I know Capuano wasn’t working with all-stars, but how could he even allow that to be a defense pair? 😂
rangers fan here and i couldn’t agree more. i remember those times when the isles were at the bottom of the league and my rangers were on the top. now it’s the other way around 🤦🏻😂. regardless on who was doing better the rivalry never got old. just wait until the rangers become contenders again and both of our teams are competing for a playoff spot or possibly in the playoffs against each other. 👀
