On the album BEYOND, Tina's voice crowns the Buddhist and Christian songs by Dechen Shak-Dagsay and Regula Curti. Inspired by old and new writings by masters from different cultures, as well as her very personal spiritual experience, Tina Turner formulates spoken messages, which are melodiously combined with the singing. Born a Baptist, and for some years now an avowed Buddhist, Tina Turner is still a role model for millions of women. To this day, many people draw courage and vitality from her voice.
At the recent album launch event at Lake Zurich, Tina Turner shared with us what has helped her personally to get through many a painful phase over the years: "Since my childhood, I have tried to grow spiritually and to take the right path. It is important that every single one of us finds this, their own path, regardless of faith or religious denomination. It is the only way to find inner balance." In particular, the repeated recitation of mantras has helped her a great deal in this regard.

I started chanting this, and things that I needed to change my life gravitated towards me without obstacles.
That’s great to hear. I went doing my research on Buddhism to practice independently without being fully converted. Just the practice is peaceful and I like that it’s non-theistic (no idolization of a male figure god).
What is precious about Tina Turner is......she exuded honesty, wisdom and authenticity. One's soul trusts her voice. ❤
She’s so beautiful I’ve always been inspired by her. She was never a victim, she turned her life around to become powerful and strong

I started chanting 3 weeks ago. It made a huge difference in my life. I am more peaceful and less anxious. I plan to continue chanting to help myself from depression.

I don't chant but I've found my own way to meditate and be silent, listen to my inner voice and not my ego or fear (same thing, usually). It has literally changed my life and set me on a new path that comes from within, not from external pressures. It's scary, but if you trust, it can be done.

Please don’t follow this or any other mantra, it only leads you to hell. Jesus Christ, himself said I am the only way to God because he is God. Tina may have been a great entertainer, but she was very wrong with Buddhism.

Jesus Christ paid for our sins on the cross. That's how we get to heaven when we die. Salvation is through Jesus Christ. Don't ditch your Christian values. The Bible is truth.

Meditation is beautiful. Prayers are wonderful for the soul to to lift us. But we still need to take care of our families and fulfil our duties and responsibilities. We cannot abandon our families and expect them to survive. I pray for Tina and her belated son's souls. RIP.

I promise you on the life of my beloved children that Tina Turner gave me the strength to put my abusive husband in prison after being beaten almost daily for some 20 years. Whilst he was in prison he participated in 1 to 1 counciling after which he educated himself and became a peer mentor for other violent men. It has been 11 years now and he has not so much as raised his voice to me. All because I watched the film Tina. I am so very grateful, words cannot expresses my gratitude. I pray for Tina in my own way daily.

Never see this side of Tina before. Quite a remarkable person. There nothing wrong with being a Christian - Buddhist. When we close ourselves with singleness, we lose reasoning.
There is no such thing as a Christian Buddhists... You either with Christ or you're not...( Ephesians 4:5) God does not share his Lord Hood...( John 14:6)

I learned a great deal about the law of cause and effect, thru sound! Enjoyed the study of the Sanskrit and the prayers. However the discipline was too intense when I was introduced to Nichiren Shoshu in 1972 in NY. The SokaGaggkai culture at that time in the US was intense! After 7 years of practice I left. It left me cold. Glad it worked for Tina⭐️❤️💋❣️

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee was founded by the late entertainer DANNY THOMAS and a group of Memphis business people. I think his daughter, Marlo, is still involved with the hospital. I recognize her voice when there are advertisements on TV about raising money or promoting what they do for sick kids.
Well I didn't think I could possibly admire her more than I already did, wrong I obviously can. St Jude in Tennessee is one place i would give money if I could. What they do is miracle. They never send a parent and their child back because of lack of inssurance, or lack of funds, they have the homes for parents to stay while their child is in the Hospital, last but not least most of the reaserch about Cancer especially Cancer in kids is done at St.Jude which makes helping children around the world even more possible.

How pathetic is it to see some people's criticism on this. All what the lord Buddha said was not to depend on him to come and help you in need. I will be dead and gone. But here is a way your inner strength could help your own self and development. And that really works, than praying for unseen someone up there to come and help you when you face challenges. So, before leaving Jesus Jesus on your comments, please study Buddhism. It is a philosophy. No magic
beautifully said, and I was raised strict Catholic but opened my mind as I grew up and experienced life, met people from all different cultures, faiths, non faiths, etc,,,, and realize there is no 'one way' but many which connect us all to Source..and Buddhism is a beautiful philosophical spiritual practice

Yes Buddhism is a beautiful thing. I love the philosophy and practices. The mantras are life changing and powerful. Christianity is a toxic religion and it’s based off greek mythology/folklores that predates the whole entire Bible.
