@@wendyherrera yeah mine is super strict we can't have shorts or skirts more than 3 fingers above the knee, no exposed chest/cleavage, no rips in clothing and no very tight clothing. I think some other school.dress codes are bit more relaxed though

unfortunately I dont have much knowledge on sewing machines, im a fraud LOL. the sewing machine I use is a SINGER and my dad bought that machine before I was even born (in 1992) but I don't have any problems with it so I mean at least I can say the SINGER sewing machines are pretty durable lolol. sorry I wish I can help you out!! 😭
I taught myself how to sew for a couple of years before I realized I can just google tutorials hahah. I learned by just trial and error, see what worked/made sense the most etc.
With 'outside in' she wants to express where the left and right side of the fabric is, so i guess it's perfectly fine. :) the hemming gets me too thought, but again, it's just her way.
I bet the shorts didn't fit in the crotch because u should have made the back longer u just need to fold the shorts the opposite way than the front to make the pattern I bet the back didn't fit so good.
