Great teaching. Once a person learns the difference between the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of the Grace of God the Bible will become as clear as a bell! I urge anyone who stumbles across this message to check out Brother Steve Atwood's other videos and check out Brother EC Moore's videos as well.
Amen! Once a person understands the difference between the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of God's Grace, and then puts their trust in Christ, the Bible will make sense.
Yes there is some distinction in the understanding, but the saving gospel is 1 Cor 15:1-5 and Paul had that by revelation, when we read in Galatians he went to the other apostles and Peter etc, and they agreed with the same gospel, and gave him the right hand of fellowship. That gospel was 1 Cor 15:1-5 and Peter preached the same gospel on Pentecost. Yes Peter was still under the law and following Johns water baptism . But these diverse washings were imposed upon them ( Jews) until the time of reformation. This reformation took time for the Old Covenant to decay and fade away and vanish. God allowed a time of that transition. But the gentiles were not to be brought under this
and paul also preached about the kingdom of God to the gentiles and jews, he said "Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." when a person believes the gospel, they come into the kingdom of God and God dwells and rules in their hearts. This is where Gods kingdom is. The good news of kingdom of God and the good news of jesus dying and being buried and rising again for the sin of the whole world are connected and part of the same it would seem from scripture. When we see the jews still under the law and struggling with the law in Acts this is not the way they were to be, Jesus even said to the disciples that he had many things to say and to judge of them, but they were not able to bear it them. Imagine telling all the jews on pentecost that the entire old covenant is fading away and ready to vanish, and that thee is no more sacrifices temple priest to do sacrifices, no more tithing, no more Ten commandments to try and keep to be righteous, no more Sabbath, no more circumcision etc etc etc. They could not have born that then. But as the Holy Ghost came and showed them more they could be free. We see this struggle with the law in Acts 15 and 21. The jewish believers were still going in the temple and sacrificing animals etc. Paul had the revelation of the new Covenant very strong and he tried to help them often. We see this in galatians 2 and other places. But there is one saving gospel for all men, both Jews and gentiles. How the gospel is applied to the jews then and gentiles might have seem slightly different because the jews were coming out of the old into the new and the gentiles did not have to go back under the law then come out. also the jews, including peter and the other apostles and saints, had to have a good conscience to act upon anything. The word conscience meaning with knowledge, they needed to have the knowledge of how these things were and this would be given by the Spirit. Until then they were no able to go forth as easily. We see this in Acts 10 when peter would not eat certain foods or go to a gentiles house, But God showed him things and he was able. If peter needed a vision and to hear God's word directly for such things then all the jewish believers would need revelation as well. So we see this struggle and gradual revealing all through Acts. In Acts 15 we see the same struggle and much dispute. But God showed them many things at that counsel.
Col 2.10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Col 2.11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Col 2.12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Col 2.13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Col 2.14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Let me rephrase that...Jesus is the bread we are to be partakers of....the bread is Christ the bread they ate at the passover He said was His body (His Church) we being many are one bread and one body...we r baptized by one Spirit into Christ the moment God cuts into our heart from hearing the Gospel and believing only in Jesus for our salvation and we r saved by nothing we do but by the grace of God..do we have to obey Christ of course if we love him we will! God bless.

There are some who believe that WATER baptism is a commandment to all believers. But, if it were, then we would ALL be expected to perform water baptisms on someone. So, their belief of it being a commandment unto us does not make sense at all.
hello, some interesting understandings, some issue though, but i agree that water baptism is not for the believers today, whether jews or gentiles. It wasn't for either for salvation in Acts either, nor had it ever been for salvation. Even John baptized UNTO repentance, not into salvation, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins, so the water was a shadow or type not the reality. But you said that the baptism with fire has to do with judgement at the end for those who will be easy into the fire. But as i agree somewhat, Jesus also will purge his floor with this and it was said "he shall baptize YOU with the Holy Ghost and with fire. So whoever is having the baptism with the Holy Ghost is also referred to as having the baptism with fire. So how do we see this. The fire of God's judgment and purging, is for all the world, for believers our faith is tried by fire, and like god tried in the fire. Jesus also purges us to cleanse from sin and to chastise every child he received. But that judgement first begins at the house of God, and if the righteous scarcely be saved where shall the ungodly appear. The ungodly will be burned up with such judgement, but not believers, believers will be partakers of his Holiness . Our God is a consuming fire. Jesus even approaches a church in revelation with eyes as a flame of fire, searching the hearts and life. I think some consideration on this baptism with the Holy Ghost AND with fire is needed. He speaks of the same people being baptized with both. Not two groups. maybe you could comment on this
a question, were women also baptized in Johns water baptism?, the reason I ask is because only the men were to be priest. But from scripture i see that all the people came unto John, it does not define men or women. And if he says that Jesus spoke to the apostles to go to the jews to believe and be baptized to be saved, and he tries to make that water baptism, then only men can be saved?, no that is not right. in Mark 16:15 we read about the gospel being preach to every creature, all over the world. This would include the gentiles also. Jesus was not saying to go to just the jews. They did go to the Jews first, but they were suppose to go to all the world with that gospel. When Jesus means water baptism, he says water, as he did in Acts one when he said that John baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. This shows the past water baptism of John, "Baptized" ( past tense). it was not for today. But the Jews had diverse washings and the Old Covenat and aspects of it \imposed until the time of reformation, this reformation was slow going for them. The old was fading away and ready to vanish, but had not vanished even by the time of hebrews 8 being written.
quakeattheword In Mark 15:15 Jesus is talking about preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, which was to Jews only !! But Mark 15:15 was never fulfilled because of the fall of Israel as a nation, in Acts chapter 7. For the way you believe, then you have to believe that the following verses apply to you .................. Mark 16:17-18(KJV) 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. TRUST ME, NONE OF THOSE SIGNS FOLLOW YOU !! But you might say that the sign of tongues follows you, but I would disagree, but for argument sake, we will assume that the tongues sign does follow you. But the problem is, all those signs have to follow you !! Remember Jesus said THESE SIGNS shall follow you, NOT this sign shall follow you! WHY don't those signs follow you ?? ANSWER :: Because it was meant for the Jews of that day !! JEWS ONLY !!
these signs have followed me and others i know, I have seen people healed devils cast out and the power of God, speak with tongues etc etc in street preaching with devil possessed men falling to the ground and shaking in fear. and the gospel of the kingdom is also for Gentiles, Paul says to the Romans that the kingdom of God is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. This is for believers also. When a person believe that jesus died and was buried and rose again ( the gospel 1 Cor 15:1-5), they are then in the kingdom of God and God dwells in them in their heats., The kingdom of God is within you Jesus said. The kingdom of God is heard by the word or the seed sown in the heart. This word is how we are born again, and this is the word by which the gospel is preached. The word of the kingdom Yes, the gospel goes to the jew first as it did, but it extended to all. Peter had the gospel of the circumcision and Paul to the uncircumcision. But the gospel was the same gospel, just different in its address to each group. The jews were still coming out of the law and old covenant. The Old covenant was decaying ready to vanish, but the gentiles weren't coming out of this. So it would be different apprehension and address to each. But the Jews needed to come out of the old and to the new, and even though some things were imposed upon them until the time of reformation, God was trying to bring them to freedom. We see in Acts 21 that the believing Jews still were under the law and customs and going into the temple and sacrificing animals and many other things of the law. But the gospel was still the same. paul told the Jews and gentiles that if anyone preach another gospel than the one he delivered they are cursed. There is only one saving gospel and that is 1 Cor 15:1-5. The expression gospel of the kingdom, was offered to the jews but either way Jesus had to die for their sins or they would not be able to be born again and see the kingdom of God. Even the OT saints who were saved and born again could only be born again by the work of Christ in time on the cross and resurrection for them.
quakeattheword The following verse proves that Jesus and the twelve disciples did not preach the same gospel as Paul !! Romans 2:16 (KJV) 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to (( my gospel.)) According to whose gospel are the secrets of men judged ?? ANSWER : Paul.s gospel !! " MY GOSPEL " means Paul's gospel !! WHY ?? ANSWER : Because it was a different gospel !!
Peter on pentecost preached the same gospel Paul preached, he said "23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it." compare with the gospel in 1 Cor 15 "3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" and we also see that the gospel Paul preached he went to the apostles and they gave him the right hand of fellowship. They preached the dame gospel. The only difference was that the Jews were coming out of the old covenant which was decaying and ready to vanish and they struggled with the law, but the gentiles did not have to deal with this. I always believed that fire was the fire in 1Corinthians 3:13-15 & 1Peter 1:7.
What about 1 Peter 3:21????
exactly... I believe that to be true .. one body ... one church... again why are there so many churches?
Amen 😍
That 'fire' is the refining fire, which is the trying of our faith. 1peter1:7
one body one baptism... simple yet misunderstood by many
Why are there so many churches?
