Omg what wonderful film of Perth. That was my home town. I was born there. Is there any one out there who remembers me? In the 60's I worked for the Solicitors Kippen Campbell & Burt. I then went on to John Dewar & Sons, Inveralmond. Anyone out there who remembers these days??

Thank you for your kind comments. I don’t know if you are aware that there is a very active Facebook page called ‘Auld Perth Bairn’s’ that specialises in Perth memorabilia. I am sure on its pages you will find pictures of the staff and Christmas parties etc from the firms you mentioned taken in times gone by.

Thank you for this. I was lucky enough to spend time in Perth on two separate vacation trips, and this was a great reminder of my time(s) there. I need to my Scots mojo back! Cheers from Southern Alberta.

Hey, thank-you for this! As well as being my home city, Perth is largely overlooked nowadays except by those that know about it - yet has so much history as the former, mediaeval capital city of Scotland, albeit mostly rebuilt during the Georgian and Victorian periods. One small correction - the Playhouse is actually in Murray Street, which until the early 1960s was separated from Mill Street by the City Lade and a public wash-house. The lade - which once formed a moat around the ancient city walls that followed today's Mill, South Methven and Canal Streets is still there, but now runs underground, while the wash-house (it lay roughly between North Church and the Playhouse, with the parallel throughfares of Mill and Murray Streets running either side).

Hi Paul, thanks for your comments. I agree entirely that there are so many ways to portray this wonderful city. For example, in the future there could be a more in-depth historical take.

If you go to Perth, book into the Royal George Hotel. It's a small, family owned hotel, with wonderful staff and gorgeous food! I strongly recommend the high tea. Biggest individual meringues I've ever seen!!

A drive through is a strange concept in video. It takes a long time to watch but if you are connected to the place it can help to jog memories. I hope they were nice ones? Did you see my video ‘The Hauntings’ at Balhousie Castle? It is a twenty foot statue of a World War One soldier made from rubbish. It’s kind off spooky!

@@explorescotland no i haven’t. Will watch it after work. I was born in Perth and live here too. I used to volunteer at the Black Watch Museum but the boss i had there sadly left which meant i had no role anymore and some of the people remaining there said i could come back but then ignored me when i twice asked when. Applied for paid jobs there. I go into see it sometimes but haven’t been for a year. Due to being a medium for WW1 soldiers and other soldiers and other reasons, the Great War room is my favourite. I sometimes tell the public about stuff if i see them in there. I used to take some of my relics in from the Somme to show them too when i volunteered.
