    I got hooked on these videos in the past two days. My mother was prejudice against Haitians while my father respected and loved them. I take after my father. My mother was not a good mother. I wish the Haitian people good luck.

    I’m Haitian American 1st generation. Visited Haiti 4 times in my life. Last time in 2011. My family lives in cap Haitien and in tru-du-nord much more calmer and better quality of life. Everytime we landed in port au prince though I always felt uneasy and uncomfortable. Idk why. The capital should be the safest part of any country but for some reason it’s the opposite with haiti. Just sad. I love to travel a lot been to 37 countries so far, I’m glad they have new airport in cap haitien now. I still not sure when I’ll be back to visit, just hearing/seeing certain stuff upsets me and I lose interest.

    • @FreedomBiafra
      @FreedomBiafra 2 роки тому +1

      That's exactly what colonizers, elites, and puppet presidents want us to do, they want us to lose interest. If we keep losing interest, we won't have a country anymore. I will never lose interest in my country. I love the good, the bad, and the ugly unconditionally, many of us do and many of us will continue to fight for a better Haiti.

Well at least cap haitien is more calmer

    It was Aristide who abolished the army after he was brought back to power by an USA led invasion of Haiti in 1994. Aristide had previously won the first free elections in Haiti but his government was overthrown by a military coup d'etat by general Cedras. The USA couldn't care less. After a steady influx of Haitian boat refugees fleeing the situation in Haiti and landing at the shores of Miami and the Bahamas the US government started deporting the newly arrived Haitians back to Haiti and Guantanamo Cuba.
    The black community in the US confronted the US government stating that there were discriminatory factors in the deportations of the black Haitian refugees while granting stay to the Cuban boat refugees who reached the mainland of the US. ' wet feet, dry feet' Under pressure of the upcoming elections president Clinton invaded Haiti, ( oktober 1994) bringing back the ousted president Aristide.
    General Cedras along with his family was granted free passage to Panama.
    Back in Haiti Aristide dismantled the army leaving them without any means of income. Their places were taken by the United Nations trained new style Haitian National Police.

I understand that many Haitians are against it but they need to educate the women to protect themselves against the UN men . They should know not to talk with them . My heart breaks for the people and children especially . No one should be starving on this earth and esp not our American neighbors …God sees

    The government needs to set up an election and get a president, and build a military or start a national police draft and enlist all men from 17-35 years old.
    Train them up and send them to war against the gang.
    And the government needs to get strict and raise the taxes on américain corporations,start collecting income taxes on banks, sales taxes etc.

    *Haitians should take responsibility for themselves and stop having hope in the waste unless they discover some oil or cobalt it will never receive western support sadly, however I’d suggest the government and all major gangs come together have a sit down and put the past behind and work together to build a better Haiti for their children collectively, the government has the responsibility to do anything it takes for it’s citizens and this is the only solution* . Some one send this to a Haitian gov agent

    We have so many fond memories of Haiti but what is going on in Haiti now is nauseous. However, not everyone thinks Haiti is Hell and that sentiment would not just be limited to Graham Greene were he alive. One other ex-spook used to love it until the TonTon Macoute hunted him down like a wild animal. If you relish and yearn for Haitian spy thrillers as curiously and bizarrely compelling as Graham Greene’s Comedians, yearn for the cruel stability of the Duvaliers and have frequented Hôtel Oloffson you're never going to put down Bill Fairclough's fact based spy thriller Beyond Enkription in The Burlington Files series. It's so real you may have nightmares of being back in Port au Prince anguishing over being a spy on the run. The trouble is, if you were a spook being chased by the TonTon Macoute in the seventies you were usually cornered and ... well best leave it to your imagination or simply read Beyond Enkription. It’s considered compulsory reading for espionage aficionados. See theburlingtonfiles.org and if you have any questions remember the best quote from The Burlington Files to date is "Don't ask me, I'm British".
