Thanks for your video. For the 2014 X3, am I right that the lock acuator is not in the lid but in the frame? Do I need to remove the battery in order to replace it? Or, is there another way to access it?
With the help of your video I replaced the actuator on my 2013 750i. My problem persist. When releasing the trunk lock it releases but trunk does not auto open. Also, the latch doesn't reset to ready to lock position. I have to use my key to reset it. What connects to the actuator that causes it to lock and and unlock ?

2012 BMW 535i xdrive. Idrive screen not working, head up display not working, no radio no sound, trunk only opens, it won’t close with the close button or lock button. I’ve check the fuses and they all seem good. There a lot of clicking coming from the glove box fuse area. Can You help?

I have a 430i 2019. Trunk issues opening and closing. Pressing buttons and nothing works right. Trunk goes up and won’t come down.
