      The whole team is to blame for the loss. The offensive line did not give the QB the necessary time. The receivers did not get open ect..

    Patriot's and Rams DEFENSES were phenomenal, it was anybody's game until 5:00 left in the 4th. Rams just ended up being the team to break. Really amazing Super Bowl despite the low score. Football fans appreciate that game, non fans hated it

      You’re right the defense on both teams were amazing, unexpected since the public was expecting a offense game and it was truly down to the last few minutes. For the non FB fans and fantasy fans, it’s boring.

    Maybe the most impressive aspect of Patriots' defensive performance was how they didn't lose a step when Chung broke his arm. He is such a uniquely versatile player on that defense, and so much is predicated on his versatility; that they were able to spread his assignments around to multiple players and seamlessly--minus one broken coverage that JMac saved with an incredible effort--is an incredible testament to the preparation and execution of the whole defense.

    Rams lack of a deep vertical passing game and not even attempting to take a chance and try and throw deep and test the Pats secondary early in the game to try to strike for a big play was one of the reasons the Rams lost. Sean McVay turned into a Conservative game caller at the wrong time and it ended up costing the Rams a World Championship. He became ground chuck Chuck Knox.

    Stefan Gilmore should have been MVP. If you can get a defensive Superbowl MVP in a game where the winner holds the loser to 3 points, it's impossible for a defensive player to win it.

    • @Spartacus516
      @Spartacus516 5 років тому

      Gilmore played well but it was a team effort from numerous defensive players that contributed to the stifling Patriots defense limiting the Rams to just 3 points. Also, Gilmore gave up 121 receiving yards while covering Cooks so it's not like he shut down his opponent. IMO. In order for a defensive player to win the Super Bowl MVP, he must have one of the following: multiple interceptions, multiple sacks, a ridiculously high number of tackles, or limiting a wide receiver to only a couple of receptions. Gilmore did none of those things so he did not deserve the MVP. Conversely, Julian Edelman had a spectacular number of first down catches rarely seen in a Super Bowl so he deserved to be the MVP.

    LA might have won if the WWE sports division known as the NFL had not seemingly predetermined the outcome. The Rams, flush with great talent, looked like paid shills last night, boxers in an underground club perhaps told to take a fall beginning on the first 30 seconds of play. The NFL scriptwriters perhaps didn't want to give the Rams any chance to win so the Patriots' owners could enjoy the festivities and laugh at the legion of LA Rams fans who thought their team had a chance to at least score an inspiring touchdown. Speculative observation, but the game seemed comically scripted to give the vast spotlight to Patriots. If you want raw entertainment, just watch the WWE. At least, the WWE story lines are more entertaining, and you don't have to sit through hours and hours of tedious commercials and officials in zebra color stripes. With the internet now and digital cameras, we all can see how these "NFL official circus ring leaders" orchestrate the game using penalties at key inflection points in the "script/game."
