Thank you for liberating me from the tyranny of chaining into chains at the end. I needed to hear it from a legit teacher so I wouldn't agonize over whether I was doing it right.
Dang it...I did NOT need another project! Finally a scarf that doesn't come loose especially in the wind. I appreciate you showing the different sizes and how it looks with different yarn.
I’ve had a cake of yarn bee “DEE-LISH BOUTIQUE “ 3 weight, color, PLUM BUNN,sitting on my shelf for over a year. This was the perfect project for it. Lightweight, and the colors blended beautifully. I am not a fan of bulky scarves, this is perfect.
Love the eyelet scarf. When I first seen your instruction I though of hugs and kisses, them.n I realizes DC and eyelets, hope I cheered you up with this on or gave you a laugh.
Loving this design. I'm trying it with a 3 weight in dark teal. And I'm doing DC in back loop for texture. Loving how it's working up. Thinking of adding a small pompom to the narrow point or a heavy charm from an old necklace to the point on the wider end. It's all about personalization and experimentation 😎
Fantastic find! Made a little one for my nephew who needed something he could put on and keep around his neck. Regular scarves weren't working. Added a pom pom to the end to make it easier to put thru the holes and make sure it won't come off on its own. Thanks!
Excellent tutorial! It's a very easy project by the looks of it, or, you made it seem easy, lol. Definitely gonna make this, so thank you so much for sharing. Another thing that I must thank you for is this; it's been a very stressful week for me, and your voice is so calm, quiet and gentle that it has made all my stress fade away; you should be a hypnotist. I think that you would be a very good one with your soothing voice. :)
This is really cute, and thanks for modeling it for us. I really miss your giving us that part of your videos. So far as yarn choices go I much preferred the marled yarn even though I’m a color change yarn addict it just seemed too much on this design. Love your videos they are so helpful and you are just a delight to watch. I feel like I’m visiting with a friend.
Love this! Quick project. I might actually be able to finish by January...I'm slow. I'm thinking about doing 2 or 3 linked dc on the straight edge, for a collar affect. Or maybe extra stitches in the last row to make it even more ruffled, just because I like ruffles. I expect to frog a lot before I get it done.
Oh my, oh my, I was actually crocheting a asymmetrical shawl and 🫰🏼just like that, it turned into a KEYHOLE scarf. I used, Hobby Lobby, Sugarwheel, color, warm gingerbread…now discontinued (color). Another GREAT, instructional video. 💜💜💜💜💜
TY i used mainstay in pink & brown, my leftover stash, for a great grand daughter. Hope she likes it. Made theveyelets bigger so she diesnt have to fight for the pull. Thanks also for the diagram👍🏿🍷
I made a triangular scarf and ran out of yarn. I was going to give it to a child but when I came across this video I took out a few rows and did your last 3 rows. Now I can wear my scarf. Thank you for your share.
Wow!!! I love this so much. I’m gonna make one on a printed yarn so I won’t worry about colour clashes. I would try on a smaller size first. I don’t mind contrasting colour combination so i will try on hombre too. Thanks so much Craig for sharing this gorgeous key-hole scarf. You are a mega star. Love ya…!!! Merry Christmas !!! 😘😘🥂🍾💙💙💙
I saw this keyhole scarf 🧣 pattern on Facebook & l said "I have to make this scarf!" Thanks to a nice person from my crochet group who informed me that the tutorial for this scarf pattern was on UA-cam. I am so glad I came across your tutorial first! You made the instructions clear & interesting enough for me to start this unique scarf right away. Again, thank you so much for being on point!❤️🧶🧣
Hi! I just finished the larger version and it is fantastic! I used Brava worsted in a beautiful grass green. I love the ombre yarn too but this scarf looks great in a solid. I'm wearing it right now and I can't wait to make another one. Thanks again for your great tutorial Craig!
Good evening Craig, such a lovely pattern. As much as I love the ombré I agree with you…it’s not my cup of tea for this scarf.Your coworkers are so lucky to receive one of these and crocheted by you!🧶🧣🎄
You are the best! I'm so spoiled by your tutorials that now I really don't like to crochet without your soothing voice cheering me on :) Thanks for all that you do.
Thank you so much for sharing - your directions are so easy to follow. What a simple way to jazz up a scarf! My kids gifted me some beautiful yarn, can't wait to make this!
I thought this scarf looked cute and so I had to make one for myself. The tutorial was very easy to follow because you teach well. Maybe I'll make more.
What a beauty this is!! I think it's an amazing peace and I definitely going to make this one, starting tomorrow😀 Thank you so much for this masterpiece and thank you for the excellent explanation about the DC's to make the "holes". That is very kind of you and so helpful 🙏
Did anyone else who went to the 70 dc row requirement prior to the keyhole row, find they didn't need to make the typical increase at the very end of the row? On the 70 dc row, I did the 5 dc at the very beginning, the series of 4 dc and 4 chains in the middle, and completed with 5 dc--- only I didn't make the typical increase at the end as it would have given me 6 dc instead of 5. Great pattern and thanks for sharing it!
I will start mine tomorrow, using solid color, brown., baby alpaca. Bought the yarn when I visited Cusco, Perú. I’ll send you a picture when finished. I love the way you explain the pattern, and also I like counting stitches because you can add or decrease one stitch very easily and the pattern will not be the same and then start all over. I just finished a scarf with the feather-fan stitch , it turned out beautiful 🤩 thanks again
Beautiful. I made this lovely pattern using a 'mostly' full ball of Premier Coffee Shop that was hanging out in my stash, and I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. Even though it's a color-changing/striping yarn, I managed to make the eyelet row using the same color that I began with (just had to fiddle with the math for my eyelets) - but it worked out perfectly. (I'm going to leave the tail-end woven though the eyelets, maybe even tack it down at the bottom, so it's easy to pull on/off, ready to wear!) THANK YOU!
Love this pattern! Have been quite ill, brain recovery not keeping up with physical. Will definitely come back when my head is clearer to make it. Thanks
I love it.I'll be making some for gifts and some to donate and they won't come undone and cause tripping or getting caught on anything.Thank you Craig and Merry Christmas
Thabk you so much for making this video. I'm a visual learner and a girlfriend asked me to make her one. I tweaked the pattern a smidge for me and I LOVE it! Ty ty ty
You are totally awesomeness! THANK YOU!!! I was in need of a gift for a teenager who loves shawls and scarves. This is perfect for her! I know exactly what yarn to use also from my stash. Best way to go!!! AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this easy to follow pattern. I crocheted me one in a solid color and I put a tassel on the tip of mines! I love this scarf and it is warm!
I know I keep watching this, but I have now done my third, and I have used multicoloured yarn and fringes at the tail. They look beautiful. Thank you again.
Good afternoon! I love the teal ombre. I think it's perfect yes yes yes. Matter of fact I will do the key eyelit shawl in that color way along with you. How absolutely delightful to spend this afternoon working with you.🎉🎉🥰☕☕☕☕
This is a great pattern! Thank you so much for modeling them and speaking to the ombre color differential. I would have gone with ombre if not for you showing it. You are awesome! ❤️
I have just started this pattern in Lion Brand Heartland yarn in the beautiful green marle colour Cuyahoga Valley. I'm excited to see how it turns out! I would so love a little neckerchief that stays put while I am out feeding my horses 💜 fingers crossed this is the one!
What a clever idea! I have just finished one using DK yarn using an I hook, and waited until I had a total of 76 stitches before setting up the eyelet row. It turned out beautifully! Thanks, Fiber Spider!
I just made this with a lovely bulky yarn that only had one skein available of it, but it was so gorgeous, I bought it anyway, then searched everywhere for the right pattern to match the yarn. I watched your video and knew it was perfect... I would just have to do a little math. I only had enough yarn for 38 rows, the holey row, and 2 ruffley rows. It is still so cozy and gorgeous! Thank you so much for all of your lovely tutorials! Your energy comes through on the screen and makes me more patient as I make mistake or have to frog. :)
I watched this three times before I attempted it….result I’m quite impressed with my end result thank you for the beautiful tutorial I’m only a beginner after forty years crochet free taken it back up as it’s colder without the heating on due to the increase in bills .thank you xxx
I just found this video and made this scarf. It is easy, fun, and turned out nice! I'm going to make more for gifts. I'm not a fan of using the ombre yarn with this pattern. Great video, thank you! ❤😊
I’m obsessed in making this scarf in every color! Lol thank you for the clear directions and helping me making a new amazing scarf!!!
Thank you so much for that. And you also stay safe. I have just come to the end of a cowl. And we are going to make several of these.
I love the way you take the time teaching us different patterns.❤
I was looking for an alternative to a cowl. This is it. Fab-u-lous. Thank you so much x
I’ve been waiting for someone to do a tutorial for this scarf! Thank you my yarny friend! ❤
I dit it other way!!!
I made this scarf last year for a friend. I used the lions brand homespun yarn. It came out beautifully. My friend loves it.
I just completed my eyelet scarf. I love your instructions. U are the BOMB. ❤ u. 😊
Love the eyelet scarf. When I first seen your instruction I though of hugs and kisses, them.n I realizes DC and eyelets, hope I cheered you up with this on or gave you a laugh.
I always look for variegated yarns, love the look of them.
Everthing you do look's great, I like all your colors.
Thank you, will definitely be making this…..you have a lovely smile…Blessings 🤗🙏🏼

SOMEBODY'S got some Christmas spirit! YAY.
Could listen to you all afternoon!☆☆☆

These are awesome!!! Next year's presents for everyone!
Finally started..Mandala in the color Troll...6.5 mm hook...love this, will be gorgeous and a gift for......❤❤❤
I’m making this NOW!…July 2023…thank you for your absolutely clear instructions!
just started this morning ❤
I love this creation and going tp make it tonight for a gift Thank you for sharing I prefer the solid colored one best Thanks again
Oh that’s love in every stitch pattern she’s the creator she sell her pattern on Etsy
I'm sure there are patterns out there, but I came up with this particular way on my own.
I like the idea of using the row counter as a stitch counter.
This a phenomenal and easy pattern.
Thanks, Craig. ❤
I like that contrasting look! ❤️🥰💚
This is really cute, and thanks for modeling it for us. I really miss your giving us that part of your videos. Love your videos they are so helpful and you are just a delight to watch. I feel like I’m visiting with a friend.
Merry christmas and thx
I didn't think I would agree with FiberCraig until he demonstrated the clashy dissonance of it.
You could take two thinner yarns held double to get the marled effect with splicing in different colors to make it a color change. Best of both worlds
I made this with purple sparkle yarn as gift for my sister. About to make one for me with black sparkly yarn. Thanks for sharing.😊
I have looked and looked for this. I should have known my favorite teacher would come out with this. Thank you so much. You are the greatest.
I’m going to make a few of these for quick Christmas presents and obviously one for myself
I like the idea of extra ruffling on the edge, that sounds really pretty!
I saw it and I loved it. Many thanks for Scharping it with us. Nice greetings from Heidelberg in Germany.
I really love this scarf. I would like to see it made up with a sock yarn too! Stripes, why not. Such a fun scarf. Thank you for sharing this project.
How clever, and dashing - thank you!
Ombre might work in black grey white 🤔
TY i used mainstay in pink & brown, my leftover stash, for a great grand daughter. Hope she likes it. Made theveyelets bigger so she diesnt have to fight for the pull. Thanks also for the diagram👍🏿🍷
I made a triangular scarf and ran out of yarn. I was going to give it to a child but when I came across this video I took out a few rows and did your last 3 rows. Now I can wear my scarf. Thank you for your share.
I agree.. the first yarn was a great choice.... BUT.. the fun lies in trial and error... thank you for sharing this!
I absolutely love all your videos. Your work is beautiful and has given me back the love of crochet in a personally hard time. Thank you so very much.

Love this! A heathered yarn might look nice as well. Maybe in a rose or lavender.
Thanks much. Pleasant day to you. I use a blue and white came out beautiful
Good evening Craig, such a lovely pattern. As much as I love the ombré I agree with you…it’s not my cup of tea for this scarf.Your coworkers are so lucky to receive one of these and crocheted by you!🧶🧣🎄

Thank You so so much. I've had requests to do the keyhole scarf. I enjoy Your tutorials. 🙂
Hi from B,C Canada so love the way you teach I made mine in a olive color for my mom, thank you so much.
I tried starting with a darker color and then added the same darker color for last three rows. What a lovely project, thank you.
I made this today. And put a tassel at the pointed end. 😊
Love this pattern! Have been quite ill, brain recovery not keeping up with physical. Will definitely come back when my head is clearer to make it. Thanks

Really great tutorial, can't wait to get started on one this afternoon.
Very cool looking scarf. Watching . Hope to make one soon

Watching from switzerland 🇨🇭 since EVER!! I Love your vidéos so much 🥰
I do like the contrast with the ombre and once it's washed it should thread easier thru the eyelets
I've got to make everyone one of these! Thank you! Absolutely awesome! 😍😀👍
