The reimagining was SHOCKINGLY good. Not like the originals, but really solid in its own right. I like that it did something new and creative with the franchise.

I am so happy with this movie... The first movie I can recall as a kid was the original childs play and scared me shitless, now I'm a lifelong fan of this cinematic figure. I watched the movie opening day and was not disappointed at all, this soundtrack play at the end credits and I was the last one in the theatre, a memory that I'll never forget. Great job guys
OMG!!! This sounds like something Danny Elfman would come up with if his music was more terrifying than "bizarrely whimsical", and I mean that in a good way.
It sounds great, Bear McCreay is a talented composer (his Godzilla King of the Monsters score is one of the best of the entire Godzilla franchise) but it doesn't really feel that creepy or eerie to me like the previous Child's Play themes did.

Oh yes. That's definitely him. Reminds me of Arkham City, after the game ends with Batman carrying the dead body of Joker out of Arkham City, the credits roll and after a few minutes of that awesome soundtrack, it goes quiet... And Joker starts singing "Loving You." Creepy as hell.

Along with the fact this wasn’t given the go ahead by the original writer, a lot of character’s actions don’t make sense, even more characters are just terrible (Andy’s “friends” are prime examples), and in the end, even though it’s amazing in a few places, it’s not exactly perfect quality. Toy Story 4, even though it has some problems of it’s own, was still more tonally and thematically consistent. In laymen’s terms, I’m more sad and happy for the toys in Toy Story 4 then I am scared of Chucky and scared for the characters in this movie. It’s easier for me to get sunk in TS4 than this movie ever could.

An amazing horror movie, especially with all the jump scare 'bloooood!' movies we've been getting nowadays. Everything took me off by surprise, especially with Chucky actually still being that solid form of his when he moved about. Was expecting cgi every single time. My favorite horror movie in a very long time.

MGM wasn't allowed to use anything from Child's Play 2 and onwards, since they only have legal rights to Child's Play 1. That's why we didn't see Chucky take over more than one Ginger Buddi at a time. That's currently happening in the original canon timeline. That's why he took over all the Bear Buddis. There was also a lot of foreshadowing for the Bear Buddi. It got special screen time when it was presented by Mr. Kaslan, there is the shot of Karen pulling the Bear Buddi out onto the store shelf, the shot of Andy staring intently at the Bear Buddi, and finally the extended, extremely angry Bear Buddi that tried to kill Andy. Because future Child's Play movies saw Chucky returning in the same body over and over, it's most likely that when the eventually sequel to the remake happens, Chucky will be snagging a Bear Buddi doll (or the unseen fifth Buddi2 variant which was never shown in the film). Oh and finally, we know Mr. Kaslan is alive as of the events of the film since we saw him address the ZedMart massacre. Anyone else notice how Mr. Kaslan's eyes are bright baby blue? It's clear the Kaslan logo, and by extension the blue Buddi eyes are inspired by Mr. Kaslan's own eyes. I suspect he'll play into the sequel as well.

I was skeptical of this movie but this theme won me over. It is the perfect combination of babyishness and impending terror.
Even though the soundtrack is good, I still like the original. The Original is always better than the sequel, but this one, I have never seen it and so far, it’s okay. If I gave it a rating, I rate it 8.5/10.

Oh my god I just realized that the beginning of the song here with the "la la la" is the same as the buddi song tune and they slowed it down in certain parts and changed the ending to each section. Idk maybe I'm wrong

MGM wasn't allowed to use anything from Child's Play 2 and onwards, since they only have legal rights to Child's Play 1.
That's why we didn't see Chucky take over more than one Ginger Buddi at a time. That's currently happening in the original canon timeline.
That's why he took over all the Bear Buddis.
There was also a lot of foreshadowing for the Bear Buddi. It got special screen time when it was presented by Mr. Kaslan, there is the shot of Karen pulling the Bear Buddi out onto the store shelf, the shot of Andy staring intently at the Bear Buddi, and finally the extended, extremely angry Bear Buddi that tried to kill Andy. Because future Child's Play movies saw Chucky returning in the same body over and over, it's most likely that when the eventually sequel to the remake happens, Chucky will be snagging a Bear Buddi doll (or the unseen fifth Buddi2 variant which was never shown in the film).
Oh and finally, we know Mr. Kaslan is alive as of the events of the film since we saw him address the ZedMart massacre. Anyone else notice how Mr. Kaslan's eyes are bright baby blue? It's clear the Kaslan logo, and by extension the blue Buddi eyes are inspired by Mr. Kaslan's own eyes. I suspect he'll play into the sequel as well.
