Thanks for the video, I tried to translate X and Y but it seems that it gets cropped when the icon goes outside this circle barrier, I wonder what's the point of the frame space..Is there any way I can place my splash icon outside the circle space?
You can try reducing the size of your image. Like not using 1f but 0.8 instead.
Like your Video. I tried. I loaded a PNG file into Figma, then the frames as set in the video, positioned it, removed the frames down to the outermost frame and removed the filling in the last frame so that the PNG logo is alone in the frame. But when I import it to shapeshifter.design, it doesn't display properly. I am shown a black square instead. Is it, because PNG logos are not allowed to be in the frame?
the logo that you import into Figma needs to be SVG, you can use an online service to convert your logo from jpg/jpeg, bmp etc to SVG. Give me a thumbs up if it works for you :)

In manifest tag application, set the theme with your main theme and in tag activity set the theme with your splash theme

the problem is because you probably import on figma a PNG or JPEG file. You must import a SVG file on figma

While creating vector drawable in figma me also faced in video he has not told a basic thing you need to use a plugin without that if you just normally put image it won't work in shapeshifter svg will show blank black screen

Yes
If it isn't convertible then use the library of lottie
There's a Bodymovin after effects plugin that will allow you to export lottie to avd. But you do need to be aware of which animations are supported.

Hi Stefan, what android emulator are you using?
In this video I was using my own smartphone device instead of the emulator. On emulator the animation is quite slow regarding the fps.

When I open my SVG it just shows a black box with a white background. When I delete the box it just leaves the white background. My logo is visible. What went wrong?

Yes make sure your icon is SVG only not PNG

But one more question if I want to animate both app icon and name then the size provided in documentation really becomes too small for such complex animation..
Like a waste of whole screen, I have whole screen to show animation but google fixes it to show in little bit area😒
Thanks! Yes, I understand what you're saying. I'm sure there's some kind of a workaround to animate a whole screen, but I haven't dug deeper into that. 🤔

you'll be stuck in inserting the SVG in shape shifter because it doesn't work and OP wont tell you how to fix it
Hey, after scratching my butt over it I found that the mistake is where you import your logo into FIGMA. First try converting your logo into svg from any website and try using SVG instead of png within 'FIGMA'.
PS: i know its a simple mistake, im an idiot to take this long to figure it out.😂

Unfortunately this library is probably abandoned by Google, no fixes/updates since long. Very rarely maintained.

I tried this.... Did exactly what you did step by step but when I put the SVG in shape shifter it just shows a black square. And the SVG from figma keeps having errors what am I missing?
