This is quality !!!! I love the look of the overhaul of the ar and dorwinion units and ofcourse the other factions great choices ! It's to bad that the new dac team change the units to much from Arachir's team (like ar , khand dunland etc ). The unit style they use are to overstyled and a little bit weird from the original dac flavor that they don't fit in the mod. But your team blow me away you guys did a very nice job !!!!! These are the unit style that fit in the dac mod !!! This is the style and flavour what dac needs (hummingbird style )

ALso khand was made during Galu and he also aproved of the Ar ardunaim change ( he also liked the dunlending even tho i presonaly dont ). These ar ardunaim look so out of place tho. Half of the roster is pure black ( and look the same ) half of it is pure white ( too white even or shoud i say shiny ) the curent ones have a progression you can see from t1 to t3 and they look unique. These ar ardunaim just look like a mix of arnor and gondor units that have been repainted black or white and thats it. The curent vanila look is far better since its shows you from the outset that they are themselfs and have not been a part of the main seting for a long time and they do not have aliegance to any faction and will do what ever they whant. The look here is just that they are evil and have been whit Sauron ( since his thematic is all black ).
Not sure why the DaC team dont take massive inspiration from AGO such as gondor scripts when retaking land, rohan giving aid, a hardcore option etc. Gondor not having pikemen is also a massive question mark.
Stability and only recently they decided (afaik) to incorporate the EOP thingy to manage the engine. Also tbh while I will love and play the shit out of this unit submod, I can see that basically every faction now has everything, they may get a bit more flavor of some units but everyone can rely on having all unit types, so from a design standpoint its way off what main DaC wanted which is to have some faction identity tied to their units available. I personally don't find it very fun, but i can understand the idea for it, but I usually want, if I get far enough with any faction, to basically be some sort of AA, to eventually recruit some "locals".
@@aonirsplayground6224Fullly agree, they even added redundant units like Mithir guards which is pointles since you have Khazadum guards and reclaimers who are guardians in full mithirl armour, or giving the wodland realm a ton of anti-armour units when they had only 2 before, or even charge cavalry for them and Lorien for that matter.
I love any submod that adds even more units/buildings/etc. I still remember how much fun I had learning how to add the Ushabti from the Warhammer mod into Third Age lol. I _especially_ love when those units visibly change with each armor/weapon upgrade since it really makes it feel like you're taking a rookie army and building it into something great.

seems a bit like the armour on many units have been upscaled maybe a bit too much, i get wanting some elites in the goblins of moria roster or khands roster, but that some units have better defence skill and armour than the elites from elven factions, without the slower elf replenishment seems kinda off to me. also kinda takes the light out of the supposed skill difference between elves and humans, aswell as elfs and orcs. would like to see the same units but with the stats just a bit lowered. idk just kinda immersion breaking i guess.
still though i get that the player when playing these factions want to have something cool to look forward to recruit, but it makes no sense that the haradrim and goblins of moria have any armour-smithing skill to rival dwarfs and elfs

Damn! I really like this new mod and the design of the units is wonderful. Though I have my reservations about the Goat Cavalry (a goat is not an animal which you can ride), as well as the stags, everything else is very good. I really love to see them in action and I look forward when you start your new campaign with this mod, to see what changes are on the campaign map and the scripts. Have a nice time.

On the other hand, I just give my opinion - which I hope receives the proper respect, despite the different opinion of the general consensus of the mod team.
The wargoats are the source of a lot of conflict in the fanbase 😂 tbh personally I'm kinda mixed on it cause I like the idea of playing a faction with no cav in the dwarves since I love dwarves but I also don't mind them being like an end game unit. And don't forget the films also had royal khazad war chariots 😅 so it could be worse.
Some of these new units are entering the realm of manga. Huge and I mean HUGE swords, hammers, glaives... I want to try it, but since all the units look very nice and profesional, the ragrag LOTR vibes I am used to associate with lore are gone and thts little disrupting.
yea, this just gets rif of all the t1-2 units who are non profsional people whit less than ideal armour and weapons and makes all to be just fully decked out op units.

DaC is nice because the distinct flavour of diferent nations. I havent tried that mod, maybe there are severe restrictions to recruitment, but by looking at the roster I feel that flavours of the factions are being erased
I member in the old days, MOS for Third Age added byzantine-style flamethrower unit for Rhun. How I wish I had that in DAC, it's perfect for their dragon fire theme.

The thing is I’m playing as Dorwinion right now and the Elvellyn units are locked behind the human choice it seems and not universal which doesn’t make much sense in my opinion because they should be universal. But that might also be an issue on my end
I feel that the numenorean cohort should be a more elite version of the alcorondas legion seeing how they look more elite and stats need to be balanced for certain factions but other than that looks hella good well done to the modding team
Finaly swordsmen for rhun, only reason why i didnt like to play as them. Mace, axe and shield are cool but Sword and Shield oh yeah wet dream come true
Yea, and espetially since the elfs shoud be an atounomos realm, their units hsoud look diferent and not have the purple theme. ( also why is the normal bodyguard of the humans in elf armour and having elf skills before the skript )
I prefer V5's ar adunaim, tbh. These ones look too flashy/inconsistent for my taste and they now look too similar to the Northern Dunedain. Plus,the old ones simply look more badass and professional in my eyes due to their more uniform look.

I downloaded the mod but for some reason when I use the launcher it says “Can’t add: Elven Ship Duplicate type name”. Can someone help me find out what went wrong??
they are called in via a new software to break the 500 unit limit for med 2. EOP. And those units are not available with any time period in custom as of yet.

As a big Ar-Adunaim fan I must say that the roster is questionable to my mind. Lack of cavalry was a game design decision by DaC team, that's the whole point. You have cool heavy infantry and cool heavy archers, but you have to rely on conscription cavalry. If you have mounted bodyguards, that's, well, England =) Great visuals though, especially for the royal legion.
While it all looks cool. It completely breaks the game. Wow. Absurdly unbalanced unit stats. Especially for evil. Evil elites in no way should out class elites/main line of elves and dwarves. It looks great and it's very tempting to play, but unless they don't revise their decisions on stats, I will just watch on YT.
@@mszalans4817 yes and also. If you don't like AA(Understandable) and dwarves has goat(understandable cause lore but not acceptable when comes to the rule of cool). Then play Dac or better yet play vanilla third age atleast they didn't add "goats" cav that ruin your poor fragile immersion from breaking.

Engine problems probably. Iirc, engine can only handle 500 separate units exisiting on its own.
Gondor has Anfallas Pikemen and Citadel Guard as 2 Pikemen units in DaC

Wish the Arthedain Men-At-Arms stayed as a mace unit, having 2 AP infantry units would be way better for the ND.

The mod is extremly buggy,nothing like original DaC.Playing Rohan for 70 turns-around 50 crushes already

I also don't like v5 Ar_Ardunaim. They look like B-tier movie ninjas. Although, goat units in this submod are not my thing either.
