Honestly, you’re telling me he couldn’t have called or send an update to the club saying he’ll be late. That’s basic professionalism. Also this wasn’t the first time he had done something like this…that was Arteta’s main issue that it was a pattern.

We all have our personal problems. However, we must ensure that our personal problems remain majorly personal to us; that they do not expand into our organisation as much as is reasonably possible. So we need to seek solutions to our problems within the institutionalised humanitarian provisions of, or privileges provided by, the organisation. No organisation would like to collapse under the weight of the personal problems of any of its employees, not even the CEO. What happened was unfortunate, but I think Arteta wanted to prevent the club from going down. If it did, not only Aubamayang would have gone down with it, Arteta would also have been a victim.

I don’t remember which post it was where there was a troll constantly spamming “didnt win any trophies after removing Auba 🤣🍿”.
So I guess I will just answer it here. Been watching Arsenal since the late 90s. I don’t know about others but as the old saying goes the club chooses you is something extremely true in my case. I didnt know who or what arsenal was, how many trophies they had. But I fell in love simply with the style of play. How they move around the ball. It was majestic and something I just profoundly enjoyed. While you always want your team to win trophies its important atleast for me that your team has an identity. A signature way of playing football.
During the final years of wenger, Unai era and first two season of Arteta I couldn’t see no team identity. We didnt have any defined way of playing. It was all over the place. Arteta gave use steady progress year upon year. We built on something and pushed forward little by little we slowly crept into UCL we challenged for the title twice back to back. Yes, we didnt win and to some extent we bottled it twice. But I am happy that as a club we have established our values and identity. I am proud of that. I am proud that we have an established way of playing football now. I am happy we scored goals from all over the place. Yes UTD has won the FA Cup and suddenly its a major trophy 🤣🤣🤣. But honestly I would much rather have a club that knows its identity, has a defined style of playing football and scores goals for fun as opposed to having a 0 or negative goal difference.
To all the folks who have stuck around with Arteta and Arsenal last two seasons were the trailer. The movie hasn’t even started yet🎉🎉🎉.

The script says "'...he had already given me permission...," while the audio says, "...he had barely given me permission..."
This is deception. We discerning fans are not fooled by the speaker's accent. That is deliberate deception and another of those dirty tricks which is continuing to set up the one against the other.
We don't want to hear anything from Auba. He is trying to court sympathy two years later, because he made a statement on the record against our manager which is permanent damage. That is what Auba should have addressed: How he perceived our coach in such a condescending manner. Our coach was right and has since been proven right. For Auba, van Persie and Adebayor there is just no way back. A little crack for Alex's. No one is bigger than the Club.
By the way, by saying Auba won the FA Cup that is another deception. He SCORED. He did not win any Cup. ARSENAL WON THE FA CUP.

Look Im siding with arteta aubameyang was the captain and you see know how odergard is that is how a captain should be aubameyang did not set the example keep the standard nor was a leader and did not communicate with arteta effectively and this was not a one time incident auba was late many times through the years partying is not a issue with strict manager it works with grealish and guardiola it's your professionalism

aubameyang is not without blame but how would guardiola, wenger, mourinho, or klopp have managed that situation? this is what management is all about. arteta was a new manager and, in my opinion, he got it wrong. with that, i'll give arteta the benefit of the doubt. you can't just take players the club has paid a fortune for and throw them away. that's the opposite of management. that's waste.

Wow man you just contradicted yourself in the same comment well done..i like auba too but arteta was right simple as that. A player and captain on the wages he was on defo could have dealt with his situation much better..he didnt..he drank alcohol thats nkt how pro ballers or anyone should deal with depression

@@4rillymanilly i said that arteta could have done better. it's what being a manager is; handling players in such a manner as to get the best out of them. arteta didn't manage that situation well. he isolated the player (resource) as if he were bad for the team and then paid for him to go to barcelona, where he scored 14 league goals between february and may, helping them win la liga. what good manager would burn bridges with their best and most popular player, paying him to help another team win the league? it was a flex by arteta and he's lucky he didn't get the sack. aubameyang was very expensive and arteta, essentially, threw him in the trash.

Quit pretending like this pos has only done this at Arsenal with arteta, he’s forced moves everywhere… he was one of a few veterans on a young team with some stars coming up. At a huge club. He put the name on the back of the shirt first. Not the patch up front. He vacationed all the time, he left whenever he wanted. He showed up late, he was late to practice because he had to get his cute little hair cut.
