    Curious to see the fuel line plumbing! Did you replace the full line or just connect to engine bay side and plumb into the fuel rail? Also was a fpr used? Cheers

      @@sergiofernandes4923 i used a tt shifter and beetle 02j cables. the pipework needs to be custom really. get a load of cheap ally bends tape them together and take them to a fabricator to weld up. good luck

    Hi. Genuine question because I'm new to this: I have a BAM and looking for a MK2 shell but when it comes to it, what
    1 - Engine mounts to use?
    2 - Use drive shafts from the TT or will originals from MK2 GTi fit into new engine?
    3 - Will I need a new linkage?
    Not very good with the technical stuff but know my way round cars...

      @Boostmotorsport  5 років тому +1

      Hi, Good chance your bam will have a 6 speed box. and no driveshafts will fit off the shelf, you will need a 02j 5 speed box, 100mm drive cups then use mk2 gti driveshafts. you will then need 02j linkage, and use the original engine mount, 02a gearbox mount and a solid front mount. custom or aftermarket.

    What sort of boost/power output are you expecting?

    • @Boostmotorsport
      @Boostmotorsport  3 роки тому

      I wanted 340hp but only got 303hp due to manifold design. I’ll work on this

      My mk2 uses a boosted version of the original 18v 1.8 engine and attained 240bhp. I did this years ago and it's sitting in the bottom of my workshop atm. Watching your videos has inspired me to "dig it out" ⚙️🛠️🔩📹🤓👍👍

      Thanks 👍👍 I think I'd like to see it again too. 😂😁😂
      So many more models to rip parts from now too. 20yrs ago it was very limited and upgraded brakes were specialist and expensive eg.
      Maybe they may even get to Ford Escort value 🤔🤔🛠️⚙️🔩
