It is breath taking. The stuff with Annie and Harley and the Lambreaux Indians and Davis with his deep passion for music, it makes us love it with them. I play bass and a TV series where Ron Carter and Cornell Williams play themselves is sheer awesomeness LOL.
I also found Lucia from Treme. I'm not a big TV fan but a close relative turned me on to Treme which I just finished. I have been going back to special episodes. The music is special and being live is extra special. Lucia, you are the most beautiful and talented lady I've ever seen. I am a musician here in Hawaii where we have limited jazz shows and you have inspired me to plan on the next New Orleans Jazz Fest in April. Love you, keep on keeping on
I really enjoyed this song when I heard it on Treme years ago, recently decided to rewatch the series and was reintroduced to a lot of music I forgot about but this song and the one from the opening scene of the series were among my favorites
The series meant so much to me. Thank you and Steve and Cornell Williams and everyone else who got to play versions of themselves in this amazing story. I cared so very much about these characters and felt their pain and shared their joy with them, because this series is that powerful.
This show ended way short of what it should have been.....every body loves annie.... wish it would of ended different for her and davis. However her on violin truly touches my heart

finally got around to watching tremé and immediately became enamoured with this song. steve earle's original grabbed my ear immediately, but it was lucia's cover playing throughout seasons 3 and 4 that stuck it in my head forever
You were fantastic in Treme, such a great series! I've never seen you perform live but will be doing that in Houston (Clear Lake) in a couple days. So, for the past week, I have immersed myself in your music. I am very much looking forward to a mellow evening of beautiful music by such a talented duo.

Just finished the series. My parents lived in NOLA in the 70s and the city's music has always been to mind. Every time Annie sang this in the last 2 seasons, it was misty eyes for me. Well done ma'am, it's been a long time since I song has hit me like that, and you totally own it. Brava.
