RC Coke Can Cheapeast Mod

- With this mod I will mount the 2.4ghz pcb coming from another cheap car to mini RC Car to get it's features:
more speed, proportional throttle, more charge lasting and 2.4ghz transmission to get anti-jamming.
It's incredibly easy and it'the cheapest way possible (I've found)!
Speed
proportional Throttle
2.4Ghz (race with more cars)
Hyper cheap: 20€ coke car (8€) + mod (another car 12€)

This project is awesome... I know almost nothing about electronics, however this vid changes everything... The famous lipo conversion taken to a whole new level. Congratulations on your project, I may try it myself
Just noticed this is your only video, you really should make more content, I really enjoyed this
This was a great video. More please! 👍✨
Well time to say R.I.P. to the gears
thanks for show us the rc lovers to the new level of use mini rc
You're welcome. Keep in tune because I'm gonna release something really cool soon 😅😎
@@RePorcello sure, nice 🤟
Wow! It’s awesome bro!
Nice mod. Look for Amewi Mini Rally sport. It’s a 2,4 ghz Mini car. Up to 6 cars in the same time. It’s a funny race with these little cars
i have all of them. but never thing it can be replace like that.. this vid great. i'll try it
Good remote control car
I love these lil cars i want 1 upgraded lol
Cool mod
This is amazing!
Here's a suggestion for your next video, there's a "Dasmikro gyro for mini z drift car", it's super small, I've seen versions with 3 or 4 wires online, if you can get this to work on this model, maybe you can use some hotwheels wheels that have been sanded down roughly so they have a bit of grip but just a little grip so you can make a mini coke can drift car. You can also use a hotwheels body for extra coolness hahaha
I'm actually trying to put on an esp-03, using the micro receiver software by
TheDIYGuy999 as a base, or maybe the RoboRemo project.Probably you know, but checkout
TheDIYGuy999 and AVA Magnetic Levitation channels, they did some great mods of these cars. Like this: ua-cam.com/video/raS47NkIOjY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=AVAMagneticLevitation
I like it
i used also same controler in my project i have my video on utbe 1 50 scale rc handmade but not yet finish hahhaaha
Wow cool
But how to slowly reduce or increase its speed. Any tutorial
can you take the top off?
ive been working on this for a few weeks now and having problems. there have been multiple revisions made to the buggys pcb and the one i purchased no longer comes with lipo battery, it has a cheap supercap instead which i replaced with a 150mah lipo. do you know the capacity of the battery in yours? also for some reason i cant jump the switch without the original being still attached to the pcb. as you know space is tight so im having trouble getting all the parts inside the coke can car. hopefully i get it sorted. anyway thanks for this upload, great content.
the capacity should be 100 or 150. However I think it makes no difference, what metter instead, is the voltage. The supercap usually has 1.2v and the lipo battery is 3.7v. I used the battery in the following link and it worked as well. I also tried to use a 1.2 supercap (to reduce the speed that's really to high), but the voltage/current wasn't enough to turn the pcb up, so I think your PCB is significantly different. Just for sake of curiosity, where did you bought the buggy car?

@@miniracechallenge5938 i have recently purchased some 90mah 601220 lipo batteries from china they are the perfect size for the coke can cars. i have also bought a spare car and used the small front wheels on the rear axle to gear it down a little and i am planning on putting a 100ohm resister on the motor to try reduce the speed and it will have a diecast shell to weight it down also. purchased the buggy on ebay they have both versions the buggy and truck, i have both. the caps that come in these are 3.7v but they just take up to much space and discharge to fast.

@@MrLethal1986 i've put a 25 ohm in series to the motor (100ohm is too much), it slows down but it turn's down the acceleration, too, and it doesn't have enough "force" (torque?).
@@miniracechallenge5938 lol yeah that was meant to be 10ohm, the only other thing i have though of is try gear it down somehow using the gears from a n20 geared motor but think it will be a bit of a challenge getting the right ratio and making the gears mesh properly.
@@miniracechallenge5938this content is so cool and now you inspired me to make one. it's been 2 years but do you still remember what you did here? I have a little bit of question
What's the name for the remote type?
great video, is the car can go straight without issue ? seems like you still keep the original battery(green one) in the car ? does any reason you don't want to remove it ?
The green battery was kept there just to have a little extra weight. The car is very fast for its size, even if you can control somehow the speed, it is still a little uncontrollable. The floor has to be flat (no tiles with grooves), and it's better if a grippy one, otherwise it would slip a lot.
How did you use the remote control with the wheel on the side on the mini coke can rc car
Velocis ZINGO RACING 9115
why did you leave the green battery inside the mini car?
Just to keep some weight, the battery is di as connected.
How do u make d charging position
As shown at 5:50 I cut the wire of the original charger and soldered and soldered the one from the mini rc controller. Be sure to respect the correct polarity, use a multimeter to check (many times 😁) or you would melt everything down.
@@miniracechallenge5938 tnk u so much great work
Will this work if I used a 7ch Flysky receiver with integrated ESC?
Yes! It should definitely work, you also found something I searched a lot for, and couldn't find. You obviously need a compatible transmitter. Please, let me know if you give it a try!
@@miniracechallenge5938 Hey, sorry but this is kind of an old comment compared to all the research I did in the time, but I moved onto a different project and got a different receiver, specifically the R4FGM from Radiolink and also got myself a Radiolink RC4GS Transmitter, on top of that I looked for some micro ESC's and found a DasMikro esc, I wanted to create my own lil micro car, and make it a drift car, and this receiver was perfect due to it having a Gyro for counter steering. There was however a problem in my choice, and that was the ESC is a 1S while the Receiver was rated for a little bit more than that, around 4.7 volts to 10 volts I believe, so I decided to splice the wires of my new lipo into a 5v step up booster module. I have yet to test the electronics because I do not have a good soldering iron that I trust, as some friends of mine suggested for me to wait until I could afford one or risk destroying the electronics. In the mean time, I have been modeling in Fusion 360 to build the Chassis, and will be using the body of a Hotwheels Mazda FD3S(1995 Rx7) as the base of my project. If you are interested, I could link you to a discord I joined which I have been documenting my progress, but the discord is meant for RC in general so you're bound to make friends and learn stuff too, plus this whole tiny scale has yet to take off in the hobby scene much, we could be the big bang that starts it! I do plan to release everything I learn, my cad files and what not, in the forseable future when the project is complete, for free as I really want more people to be interested in doing these stuff.
@@miniracechallenge5938 Here is the link to that discord: discord.gg/qWUb3f
I really do hope you join, feel free to intro yourself in the general channel when you get in, I'll greet you if I'm online, and I should be for the next few hours. It is the middle of the night where I am haha
Please how can I chat you? Are you on Facebook or Whatsapp? I really need this idea, I have some questions to ask and I'm willing to buy two of this from you if you can help me build or build by myself while you lead me...🙏🙇
just write here ;)
Not cheap, need another car 😢
I found a way to enhance this one. Hopefully I'll do a new video soon:
