People have always been afraid of change. I remember SF3 receiving a lot of hate for not having the original cast. I on the other hand, welcome it. It will give slightly older characters like Ed a chance to be fully fleshed out and eventually become a ''classic'' character. You cant keep sticking to the same characters and same premise forever. And they can still bring back the classic characters, but make them aged, and stronger than they used to be. Can you imagine an Old Man Ryu?
In the Udon comic series, Ryu actually becomes the most powerful fighter in the entire series. He figures out how to merge his dark side with his light side, realizing they compliment each other, then proceeds to beat the crap out of Gill and actually sends him to hell(or the Darkstalker universe's version of hell) and also beats the crap out of Oni. Really epic stuff. I wish Capcom would just follow the Udon guys. They do a really good job with merging all the different canon storylines of the games.

I dont know what the haters want.....this game is all around AMAZING, music, GAMEPLAY, roster (now.....yeah it sucks before), overall SFV is one of my top 3 SF games of all time (next to SFA3 and SFIII).
Dunno why, but this version of Ryu's song always reminds me of his bearded outfit. Just like it's the theme song for the older, "mastered", more badass version of the character. In this sense, it's akin to Mr. Karate's theme song in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition.
Wow...I like it...where Ryu fully commit to fight was tempered is here... the music is softer and fluid like … you hear his theme but its like thoughtful and determined...like training music montage with more weight.... you can add Gouken theme easily as he observes Ryu... very good stage...

If a _Street Fighter Legends: Ryu_ live action movie came out......... aiight, there's a 99.995% chance it would be produced/directed by Hollywood airheads who don't know jack about the franchise, and it would suck elephant nuts, but at this point its only redeemable quality would be _this_ exact music playing during the closing credits.
It was also the motto of Takeda Shingen, one of the most influential warlords in Japanese history. I think he also had Fuudo Myoo "Immovable Wisdom King" or some such as his sort of House God, which ties into the Ryu thing as well. Immovable, unyielding, strong spirit, etc.

Eeeh... I'll admit, this isn't my favorite Suzaku Castle theme. It lacks the Oompf of the original Theme (Street fighter 2). But hey, this is a good remix of Suzaku Castle regardless of missing said "Ompf."
This is Ryu’s classic stage off of SFII. Of course it’ll be a bit dull because Capcom is trying to keep it classic. Also, this is the best SFII Ryu theme right so either you’ve never played SFII or been living under a rock

Probably my favorite rendition of this theme. You can feel the tranquillity - the calmness, but also the fiery warrior spirit that is Ryu.
This theme makes me wish Capcom will continue the story after SF3. I wanna see a much more stronger and wiser Ryu..
