Thanks for sharing this great video! Neat fishing in a beautiful environment! Seems that there was a plenty of fish in that stream. And that GekkaBijin Air reel is just excellent!
Thanks. No issues with the leader knot and I usually tie a uni to uni on thin line so it's a beefy knot. I don't usually use fluoro heavier than 8lb though
@@ocdfishingaus268 Personally I like to use long FC leaders (1 m … 1.5 m) in BFS stream fishing. I tie those with FG knot, and I make FG knots ready at home. I tie ~50 cm Braid to FC leaders, Braid is different color than my main line. I make leaders in different thicknesses (like 0.30 mm, 0.39 mm and 0.49 mm). I store leaders in small plastic bags and I wrote which thickness it is. I change leader thicknesses during fishing. Thickest one floats a lot and thinnest one don’t float that much. In case of murky waters, like it is many times in Southern Finland, different color marker between FC and Main Line indicates much in which depth lure runs. And moreover to that, long leader protects end of my line, if trout decides to run to behind of rocks. FG knot goes effortlessly trough line guides. It makes a little sound, but currently I have learned to like that sound. It’s mine decently tied FG knot that I can rely on. FG Knot has never failed after I learned to ty it. Nowadays I use Daichii-Seiko FG Knot assist tool to make FG knots. In clear waters thinner leaders might be worth than I’m using.
@@spandankeshav I use double-uni knot to tie / change leader on waters (in my case, pre tied FC to short Braid). Properly tied double-uni knot (braid to braid) never fails or is not significantly worse than any other knot. And braid to braid double-uni can be reeled in with no issue. (FC to braid by double-uni is way too beefy for reeling in.)
@nenadnedovic9246 I've tried straight flouro but far prefer baid for casting distance but mostly for sensitivity when swimming and twitching small plastics on jig heads, which is what I do 90% of the time.
It's about $500 aud shipped. If you only planning to use it in fresh water with a Little bit of salt water use alphas air performa the same and is cheaper
I don't know about comfortably. It starts loosing steam sub 2 grams and you have to start adjusting your cast to allow for spool drag. 1 gram I top out around 30 foot
Thank you, top content) tell me please, how you this rod? Do you like it? Think about buy it, but not much information about it. I usually use 1.5g - 3.5g lures. Weight 1.5-2g is comfort for this rod?
Tsurinoya Ares. It's a great rod. It's just fun to fish because it's a little whippy like a fibreglass rod. It casts 1-6grams and I like to fish it more than my more expensive rods. 4'7 length is great for small streams and tight places. For 1.5gram to 3.5 it will load up no problem

täähän on mukava laji... ei kovin moni suomalainen tällästä kalastusta harrasta. Mistäs päin olet?
beautiful little river👍🇮🇩
Some nice catches in there man. Good looking water 👌
i like mine Gekkabijin a lot, dame ... that fishing spot looks pretty nice
wow niceee. what rod is that?
Really wonderful!!
Thank you for the video
that's a good look piece of machinery. drag sounds great... does the spool hold less line than the alphas air tw?
Yes it definitely holds less line than the alphas air. But it tuned for braid. And it's breaked a little more than alphas air as well.
Hi! What is minimum lure weight the Gekkabijin can cast?
That's some good fishing. Any issues with the reel blowing up when the braid to leader knot gets hung up on microguides?

Why not run straight fluro.
